So you will find the sound your looking for ... I built a proper Isolation Chamber with a couple of large diaphragm condemner mics for recording... so no need for an amp but going into an amp will obviously work as well if that's your preference. Two simultaneous Guitar / Line inputs and stereo out All in all pretty amazing..

I've been a playing musician for 45 yrs. I have owned the JS-5 for about 5 years, but, this new JS-10 has so many more features than the JS-5 that i can hardly turn it off. I love how easily you can now record, play back, connect to your pc, hook up a USB jump drive, record on it, or insert another SD card, and record on it. It has made my fingers sore from all of the jamming I' ve been doing. You can jam to your hearts content with all of the built in eBand songs or just add your own. I have to admit. I'm addicted. Man are my fingers sore, I LOVE IT. If I had 10 more fingers I think I would have to get another one. There may (or may not) be better computer based software out there but the fact that you don't need a computer to use this is a feature in itself. I recently was using the Tascam GB-10 but the headphone output connector broke after just a few days. I then returned the Tascam for a new one and the replacement had the same problem after a year. Instead of replacing it again I purchased this Boss JS-10 and its a big upgrade. I only had it for a few weeks now but it seems to be very well built and has a lot more features. The Boss also does a way better job at looping than the Tascam. The Tascam GB-10 was always a second off from where I told it to loop while using the highest quality wave files and MP3s. I've used the JS-10 for over 10 years. I play bass and the features are great for uploading songs and altering their pitch and tempo. Loop training is valuable and recording options are useful. I have 100's of songs uploaded on my JS-10 and worry sometimes that the analog spin dial may give out someday. So far, so good.I connect to a bass amp to get good playback fidelity from my bass. There are limited effects for bass on the JS-10 but I still love all of its' features.
I read various reviews and watched YouTube videos before purchasing, but what surprised me was how complete a bit of kit the eBand is. I am trying to learn jazz guitar, and have managed to put all my practice pieces and backing tracks on the JS-10. It is all there, so if I have 5 minutes I can just switch on and go. I have not used my main amp since I bought the eBand as the sound and effect patches are just perfect. Whatever style you are playing if you are learning and practicing buy one. If, like me, you are learning jazz guitar or any other instrument I would also recommend www.jazzbacks.com, great place to get tracks for the eBand.
Used item, some knocks and dings but to be expected. Volume control knob for channels slightly damaged still works but Im guessing that may have been done in transit by Yodel (UKs worst courier!) does what I want it to do and saved about 200 on buying a new one so overall happy buyer.
This is my third Boss JS-10 and JS-8. I use it for practice, students, and smaller gig rooms. If you want to use for larger rooms, you will need to purchase external speakers. The product provides a lot of versatility. I play all types of music from smooth jazz to Chet Atkins to Santana. There are loads of patches to replicate the sound you need to handle all music types. I have recommended to several others. The downside is that the internal speakers are very limited. I would like to see a pro model released with more sound capacity that could handle gigging.

The JS-10 is a quality compact machine with excellent sound quality and the ability to do almost anything you desire is awesome. I know practicing as a former teacher is at times very challenging. The js-10 makes practicing fun, very helpful, musically, the only errors made is the person playing or singing along, course a guitar or vocal player and singer. It fills a room with sound that encourages playing either your favorite tunes, or, to add whatever you desire on mp3s, and.or usb. I havn't gotten that far working out the rust from many years not playing. This is also a great teaching tool as well as it is used by the top professionals before gigs, or concerts, ... Don't waste your time, get it, you will love it. Don't trust my review, review hundreds on any site you desire. After you purchase it you will play for hours and get lost enjoying and learning. You xan also add powered speakers if you are using or desire more power, which, in my opinion isn't necessary, however, if I find that I can do gigs locally after a few months brushing up, I will re post, some say you can, others claim it's difficult. It seems quite easy to me, but regardless it is simply an amazing product. If you study and practice every day you will be richly rewarded whether you just started playing or an advanced player, either way it will improve your play and take you to another level..
