Boss VE-22 Vocal Performer

Well built, quick to get to grips with, very intuitive once you get going.Sound quality is excellent, loads of potential for your own presets but the factory ones are perfectly serviceable.I have plans to use it in a live environment and also in the studio and I think it’s going to be a great investment.

A great Vocal Unit

It’s a great unit from Boss yet again. We have used it live a few times now and basically used it to double up the vocal for unison and harmonies. We kept the intensity down so it’s subtle but effective. It sounds really cool live. I haven’t found any real live performances on YouTube so I may put ours on. There are some real fun settings on the unit. However the main ones are really excellent quality. If anything it would benefit from a wireless hand fob for a singer. The pedal fits in to the boss pedal board but can be stand alone and is well lit on a dark stage. It’s also battery powered aswell as mains. It’s well designed and made.

Ive used Boss products for 35 years. Great sound and durable. Some Boss products can be difficult to navigate. The VE22 is very user friendly. 5 stars for this one.

Easy to use pedal with great effects

The manual is easy to follow, the effects are numerous and all good quality. I’ve had so much fun with it so far! Only thing I’d say is the looper is fairly difficult to get perfectly in time.

Great Pedal

Love this pedal. Recently used it on gigs and it worked great. Even the harmonies feature was awesome when you put right key of song. Many features to choose from. Great quality and great performance.

Just what I was looking for!

I think it's a great product for the price. It's fun right out of the box. It's got big sound. It's a very intuitive experience you'll find your sounds in few minutes. You can get better but you'll pay for it. I'm completely satisfied and recommend this product for performance and home studio use.Remember to buy the power source it's sold separately!

New Boss VE22 pedal

Having used the older VE20 for many years I was looking for a little more versatility. This is a good unit, the main improvement for me was on the mic pre which in a side by side comparison is clearer and more detailed.The effects are broadly the same, but the sound quality seems to have improved.I miss the independent Reverb setting of the older model. Basically the pedal has 3 separate paths and corresponding buttons, on the left is Harmony, middle effects, which includes phasers and flangers etc, on the right Delay and reverb. I’d have preferred to have option of clicking in reverb and delay separately but alas that’s not possible. However there are delayed reverbs so with a few different settings that’s possible but not directly with on/off buttons.I wonder ... MoreHaving used the older VE20 for many years I was looking for a little more versatility. No room capture mic. No auto pitch detection.

It’s a shame there’s no auto key detection. Apparently, the user must manually set the song’s key into the machine. This is cumbersome and confusing. Anything from TC Helicon is better than this.

So far this has exceed my expectation.

Currently using in performances, working to create my own reverb and harmonies. I love that you can select the key that you are playing in as well.

VE-22

This is a great vocal processor. Simple to use. User friendly. I have the TC Helicon VoiceLive Play and I much prefer this one. Sounds are great, especially auto-correct... I highly recommend!
