Being on the Gulf Coast I seem to rebuild a house every few years. I have been using my roofing nailer to do cement fiber board but it gae out in the middle of a job. I ordered this gun on a rush from CPO and it arrived right on time. This gun is amazing, working much better than the roofing nailer. I saw the comments about busting through through the boards, etc but that is all a matter of adjustment and the integrity of your backer board. The gun is half way through the job and has performed flawlessly. I will not do another Hardi job without it

I would rather have bought a good used N64 because it is quieter and less fatiguing to use for hours on end. My old N64 finally gave up the ghost after nearly 20 years of hard use and I had to have one pronto to finish a job. I'll be happy if the N66C-1 lasts even 1/2 as long.

I’m very happy with this gun. There’s not much to say because the design has been the same for so long, (why change a great design I guess) the hammer adjustment works great and it rarely double fires. The built-in belt hook comes in VERY handy though.

Very easy depth adjustment makes this nailer worth the price. Smooth, consistent firing, but it does have a setting for multiple fires on one trigger pull, so be careful there. As far as nailers go, it’s a decent weight but I did get tired at the end of the day. Comfortable grip and the rubber tip helped prevent dings in my siding.
This is a great nailer for the price. All of the other siding nailers that I looked at were much higher priced. I am very happy with this nailer. I used it to side my house with cedar shingles. Nail depth is very good and consistent. Has a nice hook on the end so I can hang it on my belt or ladder or whatever so to free up both hands as needed without having to keep setting it down. Comes with a really nice carry case that has a separate pocket in the lid for the manual which is a big improvement over other cases. I definitely recommend this siding nailer. Tyler Tool was great to deal with. Shipping was extremely fast and they had the best price.
1st of all, Bostitch has a 7 yr warranty, which is great! Handling and comfort is very nice. Sided a 2k sq ft house and no misfires or jams. This gun shoots a very consistent depth. The hanger is sufficient, but is also my only complaint. It seems to spin around too easily. It would be better if you could set the hanger where you want it, and fix it from moving.
I have sold new tools for over 35 years. This was advertised as "new in box". All of the cardboard packing was missing. It was very obvious that the tool was hooked to air and used shortly. I had no idea, until the order confirmation, be that it was coming no g from a pawn shop! I'm sure it will work out okay. But I feel I was cat fished a little.
Ordered Bostitch N66C siding nailers for a large cedar shake roof installation we are preparing to install. I needed 6 guns. I ordered 3-2 pack guns. When we opened the first box, it only contained 1 gun.Hopefully this can be resolved quickly! We cannot postpone this project. The reason for 2 stars is the fast shipping. I will update this review as necessary.
First off, this & dw66c-1 is the same, just DeWalt colors. Is this same as my old Hitachi coil nailer, no, but can't buy anymore & Metabo just feels but diff. So, this is my new go to, and it works. No issues so far, don't over 3000 linear ft fencing and many many sheathing for houses. This is my 2nd, as my old bostitch went to worker. Like tips, & extra, nose works great, & very durable, imo. If can't get an old Hitachi, deff get this.
purchased this gun to install hardie board on my house. completed the job and had only minor issues 1-depth adjustment moved on its own several times 2- had only a couple nail jams 3 - recommended nail size hard to find used Bissett .094 and they worked fine. This tool is a must if you are installing siding, big labor saver!
