Bounce Free & Gentle Dryer Sheets

Bounce Free & Gentle Dryer Sheets are the only ones I use. When I was sent this link from CVSto review the product it shows a pix of a different type of Bounce Dryer sheets in a red and purple box -- not Free and Gentle, the one I purchased. So, just to clarify I am NOT reviewing that one and would never use it due to the overpowering fragrance. I did purchase and do use Free and Gentle to avoid the coal tar-based fragrances that are in cheaper perfumes and fragrances. These can be toxic and numb the noses ability to smell things properly and I don't need that. Bounce Free & Gentle Dryer Sheets are a much better choice. Bounce Free and Clear now are heavily scented

I have used Bounce Free and Clear for many years and I was always so thankful for it as both my son and I have allergies and chemical sensitivities. In the last month I have bought 3 boxes from different suppliers and have had to throw them all out due to the extreme scent. As soon as I brought them into the house the odour was so strong that I had to put them outside with the box open for two days to see if the smell would go away but it didn’t and I couldn’t tolerate them in the house as they were so strong. I don’t know what the company was thinking changing these dryer sheets. Definitely NOT fragrance-free

This product is supposedly "Free of Perfumes", but it has an overwhelmingly strong odor that I can detect from several feet away. It is a sweet/soapy smell. It is so strong that we left the box in the garage for 2 weeks, hoping the smell would dissipate, but no luck; the smell persists. I found similar reviews online reporting this exact problem, but the "Bounce Team" just denies it. Perhaps the "Team" should check for themselves, because the odor is obvious to anyone who holds a box in person.

Don't buy generic store brands - buy Bounce

I thought all dryer sheets worked the same, but after trying to "save" money buying generic store brand, I went back to bounce. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!The store brand left rubber texture clogging the lint filter that was a pain to remove. I also collected excessively on the interior vent of the dryer. Once I switched back to Bounce no longer had these issue. Save a few bucks.. not worth it! (Short-cuts make long detours.)My only reason for not giving 5 stars and comment is that Bounce has quite strong fragrance... hope the makers dial-back on how much they add to them.

Scented in an unscented box!

I am 66 years old and I have asthma. I cannot use your regular Bounce because the smell sets off my asthma.Today I did curbside pickup my store and when I got home and took my Bounce Free and Gentle out of the sack it smelled just like the regular Bounce! Don’t tell me it’s the natural smell of it because I know better, it’s perfume and it makes my lungs itch! It’s going back to the store tomorrow.I have used Free and Gentle for years with no problem until now.Very disappointed

Something is wrong- Unpleasant new fragrance

I am single and buy in bulk so I’m finally finishing my second box (240 ct) of Bounce FREE & SENSITIVE so went on Amazon to reorder (it’s been a couple of years). Apparently all that is available is now called FREE & GENTLE, so I ordered it assuming just the name had changed. Not so! It smells really strong and NOT PLEASANT! Like other reviewers, 1. You could smell it while still in the Amazon packaging!, 2. I grabbed the almost empty old box and sniffed a lot to compare, feeling like I must be crazy, 3. I recall liking the scent of regular Bounce (but my boyfriend has sensitive skin), and briefly wondered if the products got mixed up, but they didn’t. Regular Bounce smells really nice, this smells just awful!, 4. VERY FRUSTRATING. There MUST be a manufacturing issue, because NO SANE BUSINESS would choose this unpleasant chemical-smelling odor to willingly place on what is supposed to be an UNFRAGRANCED product. PLEASE sort this out, P&G! There is no other effective fragrance free option on the market- you MUST know this!

Strong odor

I have used this product for years. The last time I bought a box, the odor was so strong I had to throw the box away! I figured it must have been a mix up. I just had a box delivered from our local grocer. This box has the same strong odor! I came on this site to ask if the product has been changed. What I found...review after review stating the same thing. Your replies started out saying it was just the natural odor, then a possibility of a transfer odor from sitting next to a fragranced product. Take it from me, after years of using this product, that is Not the natural odor, and Not from sitting next to another. It's obvious something has been changed! Sorry to say I won't be able to use Bounce any longer,

They have changed their product

During COVID I stocked up on my Bounce Free and gentle and have loved the no scent etc. as we have allergies in the family. Yesterday I purchased a new box because they were on sale. When I got home I noticed this strong fabric softener odor coming from the bag that I missed in the store. I still had an older box I'm using and I compared it to the new box. Wording on the new box is different and the new box definitely smells like regular fabric softener which I cannot use - my eyes immediately burn. When my old boxes of Bounce end, I will no longer be using Bounce. They changed something and its awful. I used it for well over 15 years and I'm sorry to have to move on from Bounce Free and Gentle.

Uesd to not have any scent. Now it does

I have used this product for years without any problems with my super sensitive skin. Now all of a sudden, there is a scent to what is supposed to have no scent. One box of 120 sheets purchased by the household by a person who has trouble smelling anything got it home without realizing it had a scent. I could smell it all over the house without being used and unopened in our laundry room. I had to put it in a plastic bag and into the garage, it was so bad. Tried to buy another box days later, and didn't because the box had a strong scent to it. Purchased again through Amazon thinking that it may have just been the lot at Walmart. Nope. Received package and the unscented was scented. I cannot use this with any scent.
