So I would rewash, try a different setting and or rinse again. Half way into the box I realized it was the dryer my dryer smelled exactly like baby spit up and I couldn't figure out why when we have older kids etc. so after my husband taking apart the front and cleaning the dryer I realized the next load it was infact these dryer sheets. Even the open box smelled funky yet not strong enough to notice when just throwing one in. However upon even just a minute or two of heat that dryer sheet takes on a full blown disgusting smell, a smell in which getting it out of certain fabrics just like vomit or dryed spit up is not an easy feat. I'm so disappointed and frustrated because your product is usually the best and one I choose. However between the extra rinsing washing and trying to eradicate the problem from the "unscented" versionI don't know that I trust anymore in the product yet alone do I want to have to now spend more money to either figure out A. It was two fluke boxes or B. Return to the original and hope for the best and good quality.

Surprised to see any negative comments on this product. We have been using them over one year now, since we adopted our rescue pup and struggled to control her shedding. She's a white Pekingese mix, so the endless lint rolling was impossible to keep up with. One sheet makes a noticeable difference vs doing a load of laundry without. We also use alpaca dryer balls to ensure garments don't get twisted together. There is no noticeable scent, and using these doesn't bother our sensitive skin either. For reference, our dryer is a front load Samsung. The lint trap is consistently filling with dog hair, so these are doing a solid job.

This last shopping trip when I was putting away all of my groceries, I opened the unscented box (as always, for easy access) before putting it up in the cabinet above my dryer. Upon opening the box, I was hit with an overwhelming stench of mildew. I contacted the retailer (target) and they sent me out a new package (telling me to discard what I had). I received the replacement today, only to experience the SAME thing again. I contacted Target again. They refunded me and again told me to discard the item. The first box was still in the trash. Out of curiosity I pulled it out to compare and I think they are the same lot number, assuming what I am looking at is a lot number (90483983). I felt like ... I have used these for well over a year! Hands down, THE best dryer sheets I have ever utilized! Even if you don't have a furred family member. The scent is balanced so as not to cause an allergic reaction to skin nor sinuses. I’ve used the scented variety and they really do help with the lint and pet hair which is a huge problem in our home. But it’s usually the added perfume in laundry products that will cause one or more of us to break out in hives (although thankfully that has never happened with the scented sheets - I was just trying to be proactive). I have used unscented detergent for decades. As soon as the bag with these “unscented” ones was brought inside, there was an obnoxious smell. We have a big golden retriever, and while we love Mojo he is a dog that sheds a lot, so we need a dryer sheet that can stand up to Mojo, and this dryer sheet stands up to Mojo quite well, it really does remove all of the dog hair from our clothes. And it also removes the lint too. Not to mention it smells great and the smell last until the next time the clothes are washed and for those big loads, you only need one sheet because it is megasized, I only wish they made a smaller version for those smaller loads because I feel like the mega does everything we need but sometimes we don’t need the mega size! My spouse doesn't have a great sense of smell like I do, but both of us found a pretty strong smell from these sheets. It's not added fragrance, but it's a quite detectable artificial, chemical smell. I don't want my clothes tor bedding to smell like that. Nor my pet's bedding. These are old bedsheets and small blankets. But if I find the odor somewhat unpleasant I bet my dog would find it many times more so. Also I realized by lying in the treated bedding, some of the chemical could transfer to his fur. When he would naturally lick his fur as part of the cleaning ritual he would then be ingesting some of these chemicals. Also, sometimes he likes to chew on his sheet or blanket for a bit when he's settling in. Apparently its normal for adult dogs to do that to relax. But in doing so he could be ingesting the chemicals. So then it occured to me that if the product's active ingredients are spread all over our clothes, towels, underwear, sleepwear, and bedsheets. They end up in contact with our skin pretty much all of the time, day and night, while we sweat in high activity, and even in close contact with our reproductive organs. We may not know if they accumulate in the body or cause problems after long term exposure. But if there's 3x as much active ingredient in this product, that's three times as much exposure as "regular" drier sheets. Then there's the matter of the chemicals ending up in the waterways and the sheets themselves eventually ending up in the environment. So I think this product is a brilliant idea, but may be too good to be true. Animal fur is a natural product. If I happen to inhale a hair up my nose, it tickles and I laugh. As long as my beloved's fur is reasonably clean, I am happy to keep wearing it.

I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND these dryer sheets if you happen to live in a home without pets or if you have hairless cats and/or dogs and these sheets MAY even work well if your fur baby is a Portuguese Waterdog as they only have a single coat and shed very little. Apart from failing at their primary stated purpose these dryer sheets do leave your clothes smelling nice. Okay, it’s kinda like a loud, cheap perfume (but that’s still better than smelling three dogs and two cats on my blankets). The box says it’s ’fresh scent’ but if that’s what fresh air smells like where those researchers live I STRONGLY RECOMMEND they get away from the cities go out to the; desert, mountains, oceans or the countryside, out where the wind still blows through flowers and trees not skyscrapers and millions of funky people. Who knows, perhaps if they learn that a ‘fresh scent’ doesn’t really smell like a two dollar bottle of perfume they might go on to actually discover how to get these dryer sheets to remove the animal hair and lint the way they claim. Well okay the sheets ARE actually larger than the regular Bounce dryer sheets. Of course you only get 210 of the larger sheets current price is $12.98 while you get 360 of the regular, smaller sheets for and they are currently selling for $10.98 here at Sam’s Club. If I can figure out how to come back I’ll upload some pictures of the lint filled clean laundry which would have made most of these words unnecessary. That’ll teach me for wanting to make sure I got the smartest phone in the store.

This ensures sheet will not fold back together if tossed into dryer. More efficient, effective hair, lint, etc removed. I own shedding Persian cat, a long hair cat %26 a Belgian Malinois.
