I’ve used metal polish bands over the years. Bowden’s provides a fabulous mirror like finish. It’s also excellent value for money. Unfortunately like all metal polishes it’s also very slow going to reach a fabulous finish, however it’s all worth while.
After using autosol and purple metal polishes for years i decided to give this a go. Its very easy to use and achieve very good results. defiantly give it a go if your on the hunt for a new metal polish.
Was looking for a compound to get some shine back to very old alloy engine parts. After getting rid of the surface dirt and as much of the ingrained grime, Bowden's applied on a rag wheel really did make a considerable difference. It's pricey, but it only needs to be applied a few drops at a time so it'll last a long time. I also found that it could work well diluted with a little water, too. More to do but I'm happy so far.
Used this polish to repolish alloy wheels after the long wet dry sanding process of removing old dudd clear coat worked great with just a simple hand polish.Also works a treat removing minor surface rust from chrome bumpers and polishes them up very well.After applying this product on these surfaces I used a nano ceramic polish for long lasting protection.
Gave this a go, as I wanted to polish the alloy rims and exhaust on my XR8. A lot of elbow grease and time later, there was an improvement, but not really as much as I hoped. Not sure if that's because I polished by hand, rather than using a machine polisher. Will have to give it another go soon. What it DID excel at was cleaning/polishing the glass on my windscreen, used along with "Naked Glass" as per the Bowden's website instructions. Definitely worth a try!
