Okay guys here it is. I am a big guy, 5x to 6x depending on the style of clothes and the type of material used. It's very hard to find comfortable clothes. I am extremely
amazed at the comfort and fit of this underwear. Like you i was skeptical about all the bs and things you here about how good everything is. Well i can tell you honestly and
openly that this underwear is better than what i expected. Great quality, comfortable and stretches in all the right places. Yes, i totally recommend them. Cut to the chase buy
them you will not be disappointed.

This review is actually for the Trunk version. I initially ordered 6 Boxer Briefs, and as a first time user, I didn’t know what to expect. The quality on these are great- smooth,
comfortable, and feels like the fabric will be long-lasting. I ended up switching these for trunks, as the boxer briefs seemed to have a longer inseam than I had imagined. I
know they say 6” but I felt they were a little longer. Also, I’m 6’1” and 175lbs, and my quads aren’t really my strongest part of my body.I would definitely suggest the trunks if
you are on the slimmer side. Definitely would suggest to size up. Lastly, I wanted to commend the customer service- they were real helpful in the swap and ease ... Show more

Sizes run VERY small. They recommend a size up, my underwear arrived, I was excited to try them on after their powerful marketing message which makes you feel like they have an amazing product. The boxers fit like children’s underwear, I normally wear a medium, I ordered large, the smallest size that would fit is a XXL. I contacted them for a refund and they refused. It’s not my fault that they have no idea what they’re doing and cannot provide customers proper sizing instructions or a proper sizing chart. Quality of the material and design is extremely ordinary, there is no difference from any other boxer on the market. I typically wear Calvin Klein boxer briefs. Their email support team sucks to say the least, I offered them peace if they just gave me my money ... MoreSizes run VERY small. Their email support team sucks to say the least, I offered them peace if they just gave me my money back but they refused. This clear let’s you know they don’t care about clients or client retention, they know the product is crap and know you won’t buy again. The only thing good about this brand is the marketing team. Just another new company trying to sell innovation but in reality is offering a scam. Learned my lesson. Disputing the charges with my credit card company regardless, they’re not very bright over at step one.Update: I don’t care about your policy, I don’t care about anything that you have to say except here is your full refund because we misled you into purchasing a product 3 sizes too small. I can’t do anything with these micro size underwear except throw them in the trash but I am not going to be held responsible because of your incompetence. Issue a full refund, I am in the process of opening a case with the state of Florida as after further reading reviews, there are TONS of complaints saying the same thing, your sizing is WAY off, you then don’t offer refunds. You are misleading the people and ripping them off. You reached the wrong person to mess with today.... Show more

Let's not beat around the bush. I'm a fatty. My legs are like tree trunks and chub rub (the kind with redness, soreness, and often a variety of heat spots and those dirty, little poppable ones) is a regular occurrence. I'd seen Step One floating about on social media for a while, and often thought to myself, 'how could anyone believe this garbage?' Anyway, for a reason unbeknownst to myself, I decided to test these out. I honestly don't know why I did (perhaps I was having a particularly sweaty day), but oh, em, gee, what a difference! My thighs now glide like Torvill and Dean on ice, and, touch wood (pardon the anatomical pun), my chub rub has been nonexistent. Genuinely, thank you.... Show more

Okay, so I bought 7 pairs during the Black Friday sale. Best prices of the year. I already had maybe 4 pairs. Here's why I only give StepOne a 3/5. First, I love bamboo. Changed to bamboo bedding a few years ago and love it. Bamboo cloth products are not only sustainable but also soooo soft and comfy. So these boxers get a 5 on the comfy scale. Now, my first pair I ever bought was a Medium, which is what I wear for all other boxers and boxer brief brands. As StepOne notes, theirs do run small. The Medium I got was for sure too tight on my stocky man thighs — like a compression short. So, I moved up to the large that fit much more comfortably. The downside of the large is that the "pouch" and the "jewels" don't quite line up as well, so the benefits of the ball ... MoreOkay, so I bought 7 pairs during the Black Friday sale. The downside of the large is that the "pouch" and the "jewels" don't quite line up as well, so the benefits of the ball pouch is lessened somewhat. While I love how comfy these are, which is why I bought a bunch of them, the main reason for the 3/5 is that despite StepOne's claims, these DO indeed ride up, a lot — just as much as any other boxer brief I've worn. I've given up on trying to find a brand that don't ride up. StepOne's ride up often — I'm constantly adjusting when I'm wearing any pant or short, especially if I'm doing any amount of walking. This was true of both the Medium and the Large sizes I've tried, although with the Large being slightly looser (they loosen up as the day progresses), the ride up is a bit more pronounced.I do love the variety of designs and color combos. They all look great on me — comfy, sexy, stylish, fun.... Show more

New fancy undies: great on a hanger, torture device on thighs. 2XL? More like 2XS. Rugby build (me) meets fashion sizing (not me). Advice for my athletically built mates: size up 2X or embrace the sausage casing look. For reference, I usually wear XL just fine... Update on Returns: The return process is convoluted. You'll have to take pictures of the product, the product label, and the bag the unopened pair resides in (assuming you didn't try them on either). You'll be paying the return shipping fees, as well. All in all, it's been a disappointing experience, and it'll just be easier to continue to buy off Amazon (and for the record I hate saying that).... Show more

3 new pairs ripped in 3 months out of 10 pairs
5 December 2023
Comfortable but ultimately not durable. Sometimes they have cool designs. I had a holiday over to Europe for 3 months took 10 brand new pairs. To be fair I did a lot of walking. However despite being brand new 3 pairs ripped near the seams always in the bamboo parts. They are not a hardy product. I think they would be much better if they gave up on the idea of bamboo and went for a traditional material like cotton which seems to be much hardier. Its a shame i want to like them but they represent very bad value for money i wouldn't have expected any of the pairs to break so easily but as stated i had 3. Otherwise I like the anti chafe feature, however the lycra panels do a good job at that tho they end up fraying a bit and they don't breathe so your privates get ... MoreComfortable but ultimately not durable. I think they could be much better than they are if just swap bamboo for cotton, also they are already about 4 or 5 times the cost of bonds cotton underware which aren't shaped as nice and don't have an anti chafing feature, however bonds will last much longer as the cotton is much more durable.... Hesitant but pleasantly surprised.

Been struggling to convince my self to buy something other than the Australian staple underwear brand. How much better could the alternatives really be. Just underwear right?Well finally decided to finally try some stepone's.They are super comfy over the trunks i use to be wearing. Don't get that uncomfortable feeling when walking in hot weather. They stay where they are supposed to, and i feel soo much dryer and cooler.Took quite awhile to recieve them, but put that down to the time of the year.Still early days, but so far, I would recommend people give them a go.... Most comfortable undies I've ever had, terrible quality though.
27 October 2022
I have been wearing step one undies (boxer briefs for my larger legs) since 2018. In that time I have marvelled at their comfort and fit. Consistently however, I am disappointed by the product quality. I think it has worsened over time - I can't remember it being as much of an issue in the early days but maybe I've got rose coloured glasses. It has become a running joke with my wife that my undies are a disposable item and that we should include them in our budget as a recurring cost. The straw that has broken for me to write this is my most recent purchase of 15 pairs (they are not cheap so I try and get the most bulk discount I can). One of the pairs had a hole at the bottom of the waist band after the first wear. One of the pairs had a hole at the bottom of the waist band after the first wear. Now on the third wear for that pair, the stitching of the "ultraglyde" panels has come apart - this is the normal failure mode - turning a anti-chafe feature in to the "chafe-zone". I have suffered in silence previously, but breaking after 3 wears is too much and I have submitted a warranty claim. It's unacceptable. Looking back through my order history I am now up to 59 pairs of step-one undies since that first fateful order. All of them broken or soon to be broken. Just like my heart.... Show more
