Brabantia Bo Pedal Bin 60 L, Matt Black

This is the most expensive bin I've ever bought, but it is so worth it. It is heavy so it doesn't slide across the floor every time you step on the pedal. It has air holes in the tubs so that you can easily get a bin liner in it without creating a balloon. It has moulded plastic handles for the individual tubs, rather than a wire handle so the bag doesn't rip as you pull it out. It allows me to have my recycling out of sight, rather than piled up next to my single bin. And I never thought I'd say this about a bin, but it is the sexiest looking bin ever!

Absolutely amazing, matches my small appliances to a tee. Tbh I shocked myself when I realised the price as I was so excited the colour matched perfectly, but definitely worth it. The bins themselves are not too big but hold enough without having to change the bags too often. If a match is what you’re after then this is the bin for you

Arrived with a small dent in the corner but otherwise a decent trashcan. I expected it to be more “high-end” for the price. It seems like a poor design having the bins only fit in properly if they’re rotated a certain way. Also doesn’t have a “hole” to shove the excess trash bag into to keep it in place, basically forcing you to use the custom size bags in order to take advantage of the beauty and functionality of the design. The open/close function is very smooth and I do appreciate the ability to have the lid stay open. The design is aesthetically very pleasing and simple and ultimately that is why I purchased.

Beautiful, but noisy and flimsy

This bin is gorgeous to look at, but I will be returning it as it has silly in-built flaws that make it annoying for day-to-day use and not worth the high price.First, the pedal requires very gentle stepping to avoid the lid flying open and whacking the edge of the countertop behind it when opening. Have never encountered this issue before with other brands - who wants to think about foot pressure when discarding trash?! There are similar reviews on Amazon about the lid hitting the wall. Overall it just seems the metal is too thin and flimsy, and the pedal mechanism is clunky. The box says "super-light pedal operation", so looks like they made it difficult like this on purpose? I tried that, and it STILL hits the countertop plus now the whole bin clunks because it's not supported by the wall. Incredibly dumb design.Secondly, it is not a soft-close lid as advertised. It starts off lowering slowly, but then it makes a metallic thud like a normal trash can when it shuts. Much louder than other brands and definitely not silent.A real shame as the other stuff is great - sleek design, sustainability, handles on the side, removable inner buckets etc.

Great Product!

Not too big and not too small. There are two separate compartments inside. We use one side for general household waste and the other for recyclable items. Simple to open with a foot pedal and there's a switch inside the bin so you can keep the lid open. Easy to clean with a quick wipe down. Highly recommend.

Great beautiful dual bin

Its expensive but worth it in my opinion. It's hard to say, but you can just feel the difference between it and other trash cans. The pedal works great, it's a beautifully designed piece and not an eye sore, and it has great functionality! I was looking for something to hide aware my recycling and this does that. Plus the compartments are on the smaller size which is a win for me because it means trash gets taken out sooner and does sit and stink.

Lovely Bin

Not sure how excited you can get about a bin but I'm sure most would love this bin. It is stylish, a good size, nice colour, practical and does what it says on the tin. Believe it or not, I have had compliments. Was thinking about purchasing for a while as a little dearer than most but with the 10 year warranty, I'm sure it will be worth it. Definitely would recommend.

Not Even Close if You Have Owned a SimpleHuman

We really wanted a white dual bin trash can for our basement. Decided to give this one a try because I'm not a fan of the stainless accents on SimpleHuman (SH) white cans and this one was a little cheaper. Unfortunately, this product doesn't even come close to the quality you find with SH. We have an all stainless dual bin SH can in our kitchen to compare it to. The Brabantia feels metal feels thin. It requires much more clearance behind it if you don't desire the lid to slam into the counter every time you open it. It's very difficult to control the speed of open when stepping on the pedal. The lid is like 0-100 in no time/not smooth opening. The soft close still makes an audible noise when it meets the bin. WAY better than Simplehuman

I initially ordered the Simplehuman version of this dual trash can and was really surprised at the design flaws. I though Simplehuman was supposed to be the shizzizy, but they definitely didn't do a user experience test on it. I returned it and ordered this Brabantia instead and I'm way happier. It doesn't have any of those design flaws. This is a great dual bin trash can and I looked at a LOT of them. Highly recommend.(Simplehuman design flaws that Brabantia fixed: SH has handles on the back of the unit instead of the sides makes it very unwieldly to try to move. Only 1 side has a removeable bin so if a bag breaks you're leaning into that thing to try to clean it which would be extra hard given the small footprint. Well made and sturdy

It's a bin, so not the most exciting thing I've ever bought - but this one looks neat and tidy and feels sturdy and well made. Bought cheaper bins last year, thinking I didn't want to spend on an expensive one - but they broke! Hopefully this one will stay the distance. Also got the Brabantia liners, having tried the free samples they included. Game changer!
