The padding has made a huge difference to my ironing experience. It covered the ironing board with minimum trimming, and was the perfect base for the ironing cover. I'm sorry I waited so long before using the padding.

This pad has made a considerable improvement to the look of our ironed clothes. The existing cover on our ironing board is thin and the metal grill of the board would show through onto the surface of almost any piece of clothing that was ironed. The new pad was easy to cut and fit and has vastly improved the look of ironed clothing. Highly recommended.

Bought the Brabantia felt pad along with the Brabantia metalised ironing board cover so my ironing board has had a complete makeover. To measure the correct size I required for the felt pad, I laid the felt pad on the floor and placed the ironing board on top. I then allowed an extra 2.5cm/1” all round and marked the pad where I had to cut it. Quite simple with good scissors. The metalised cover completed the job and both pad and cover have made ironing easier.

I mistakenly thought this replacement felt would be the shape of the ironing board. Unfortunately you have to cut it to size. This is not as easy as it sounds!Good quality but difficult to cut to size.
As I have got an extra large ironing board and my original cover had lost its pad from being used so bought this pad as couldn't find a new cover that would fit it was just the right size in length and width.I cut it out and refitted the cover and is now perfect again.The felt pad is really thick and now ironing is great again, would highly recommend buying this and as the cover is still in good condition, the pad is much cheaper than buying a new cover that would cost a lot dearer.
As a keen upcycler I’m absolutely delighted with this felt pad. Being very thick, and dense, it has enabled my old, but robust, ironing board to have yet another lease of life, along with another I had; which has now found a new home with a couple of first-time buyers. 1 felt pad was required per ironing board. The left over felt will be cut into shapes, covered with fabric and used to make Christmas decorations.
My original Ironing board had too thin padding so bought this felt pad to replace it.It was big enough and you just cut the padding to the size snd shape of your board. Pen to outline then strong scissors to trim to shape.Fits well and better ironing!
This has completely refurbished by Size D Boards ironing surface which had worn down to about 2mm !!This product is made from good quality strong felt which is easy to cut if you use a decent pair of sharp scissors. My advice to the negative reviewers is, just use the correct tool to perform the job! leave 1cm around the edge to allow for shrinkage over time.
Usual good quality board cover, thick and fits well on our board. Requires a washable cover over the top for direct iron contact. Makes the job easier and better results on the clothing. Dunhelm was the best price at time of buying. Did click and collect to save queuing.
I bought this felt to use with my new board cover. But it’s great quality felt and I’ll keep hold of it. I haven’t used it yet because I’m using my old board over and out the new one on top as i thought felt might have been be a bit too thick to put underneath. It’s not it’s just right but I’ll keep using my old cover until it’s worn down then use the felt. It’s got such a lovely study feel and of serious quality.
