They also boast about being environmentally friendly and conscious~ something I immediately regretted as we have had to throw away our old bin purely due to it's flimsy lid which we were unable to fix.Another thing I like about this bin is that it completely seals in the rubbish and bag when it closes. Not only does that look much nicer than having plastic flapping out the side, but you don't smell your rubbish. We use our bin in the kitchen, and sometimes we put scraps in there so that's very useful for us.

Love this bin. Bought to replace our old pedal bin. Love to see a product improvement- same size in litres but streamlined and hooray, it doesn't move anymore which means you don't have to chase it around and it doesn't ruin your floors. I did a ridiculous amount of research and almost went for a much more expensive sensor model but I'm so so happy we went for this one. Defo recommend. And stunning colour. I did think the pedal was a bit small to begin with, and it was, compared to our previous one, but got used to it in no time.

Beautiful, Quality, Could use some design improvements

Incredibly good build quality as expected from Brabantia but there is a bit of a wobble of the base/bin when the peddle is pressed fully and the lid opens. I bought a fingerprint proof silver and white and both exhibit the same behaviour.From what I can see the lids weight when fully opened makes the bin back heavy and lifts the front slightly off the ground. Making the bottom heavier may help but then I'm not an engineer.

Fashionable Recycle Can in Basic Black

This can is being used for our recyclables and it works perfectly. The step opener is quiet, slow opening (doesn’t slam upright), gently closing and tight fitting. The interior has a removable plastic bucket that is lined with an undetectable trash bag. The cans and bottles and cardboard head to the recycle toter in the removable bucket, the undetectable liner protects against dripping, and we are now in fashion with our basic black bin.

Good Quality... BUT

I purchased this bathroom bin in 'Mineral Grey' and I am happy with the quality and the design. It is recommended inside the lid of the bin to purchase 'V' 3 litre Code Pink bin liners... The bin arrives with a few complementary liners. BUT the bin liners are not available on-line or stocked in my nearest JL store. I purchased a pack of style A Brabantia 3 litre liners that were available to buy. They do not work with this bathroom bin. They do not fit discreetly and the bin will not soft close with them hung over and then tucked inside the bin . I selected this bathroom bin to look sleek and discreet with a bin liner. Please sort out this issue JL I would never have purchased this product if I had realised that the liners were not available to buy from you.

Great little can!

Great little step can. First ever Brabantia product (have seen their items in several stores and online over the years and was fond of their European aesthetic)... and am not super disappointed. Only thing I would call out is to make sure to inspect the lid and body of the can. I found one very faint/light scratch on the lid, but I did not want to go through the trouble of returning. Only in certain angles is it prominent. Also, the can does not have some rubber feet underneath, and I have concrete floors, so it slides a bit, but the step can does not tip forward when pressing down the foot pedal to open the lid (I was worried it would due to its small size). It's a beautiful sort of retro design. I recommend.

It's MUCH deeper in dimension than manufacturer's dimensions

Bin is SUBSTANTIALLY deeper than they claim! If you keep it to their dimensions the lid bangs into whatever wall/cupboard you have behind it! Still a great sturdy bin BUT it will stick out much further than you would have thought going by the manufacturer's dimensions.There is also no bumper at the button to keep it that safe distance away from the wall/cupboard. So I now have to make something to stop it being moved back to keep the lid in one piece. 🙁 And trust me that lid goes up at quite the speed if you press the pedal at a normal speed.

Ordered this as we wanted something better than the cheap one we had. Arrived within the 7 days, so can't complain there. The packaging was fully intact, again a good start. Removed the bin from the packaging and what do we see? A large dint in the bin.Now granted this can't be JL at fault since the packaging box was fully intact, meaning it was damaged by a whoever they get their supplies from, but it's still not a great first impression of a company who is supposedly 'slightly higher brand' for bins. We managed to push the dint most of the way out, but you can still see where it was.Other than that, it seems to be made out of sturdy(ish) material and feels much more structurally sound compared to our old one. Product does not match picture on website

This product is not as pictured, it has a shiny glitter tone which I didn't expect. Unfortunately, we needed them urgently so had to use but I would have preferred to have one that matches the picture which looks matte.But functionally it works. My second issue with Brabantia SA is that the bin liners are always sold out so can't purchase the liners that fit perfectly.Lastly, the delivery time was absolutely terrible, I had to escalate to the head of customer care as Aramex had not delivered within 5 working days.

Should be BINNED!!

This product was bought to replace another Brabantia bin which had served us well for over 12 years. The reason for replacement was a broken lift mechanism but in all other respects it looked brand new. This replacement is inferior in every way, including; the casing is flimsy and already shows a slight dent in the lid, the inner container has no handle and therefore is cumbersome and unhygenic when replacing the liner, release of odours even when the lid is closed, the Brabantia sign is offset to the right which gives the impression that whole thing is lined up incorrectly, and overall looks to be not worthy of the Brabantia name and reputation.
