This little clothes line is really wonderful. It holds loads of washing - more than a machine full and as there are lots of little lines you can save the larger outer lines to hand bigger items like sheets and duvet covers. I love the way it cleverly folds up after use to a very neat package which gets tucked away in its own cover. I had to screw mine to a stone wall but with the right drill this wasnt difficult. I needed a compact clothes line that would hold a full wash as I have quite a small garden and nowhere to put up a long line or to keep a large clothes line set up permanently so this is ideal. It is very well made and looks very smart. It is easy to open up and to close again afterwards. I have wanted one of these for years but the hefty price tag always stayed my hand. However I have just invested in a nice deck and reroofed the garden shed and my old washing line was an eyesore. My builder agreed to put the airer up for me as I do not have a drill. It did take him a couple of attempts as the screws at top and bottom are not the same distance apart and he probably did not read the instructions! My old shed wall is not 100% flush and this does mean that the one-handed operation is not working exactly as it should. When the airer is opened up it does not automatically click into place but it is easy to push it until it locks in place. It does fold down again easily though so I am happy on the whole. Brilliant service as usual. This is our 2nd Brabantia wall mounted airer. The first one lasted 12 years and was very sturdy. We like the fact it folds away against the wall when not in use and very inconspicuous. Delivery and communication from Robert Dyas excellent. Would not hesitate to purchase from them again.

My wife has been on about a washing line since we moved to our latest house 7 years ago. I didn't get one because underneath the garden there was the concrete yard of a farm and no way short of dynamite in getting through it for a spike. So when I came upon this wall mounted line, I got it and it fixed our problem.It's a solid bit of kit, well designed and easy to put up once the holes were drilled. I got through 3 bits as it was into stone.My wife likes it now she is used to putting it up. At first it seemed a bit urgent when stowing away. There is enough line for two of us, so we are pleased with our purchase.
I moved a couple of weeks ago and had one of these installed for 13 years at my old house. Our buyer thought it a great idea and wanted to keep it so I knew I would have to buy one for my new house straight away. They are much better than the ones you have to concrete in to the lawn. Very sturdy and easy to open and close. Can take two loads of washing and when not in use, folds neatly against the side of the wall and the cover keeps it nice and clean.
I bought this clothes line to replace the one we have used for the last eight to nine years.The template template that came with it made it easy to drill the holes in the right place, and the wall fixing were included.I have found it very easy to unfold to use and to fold back up. The cover is thick and fits into the groove on the top and fastens to the side with push studs.It is a sturdy line when open and hold plenty of washing.
I like Brabantia products, needed a different washing set up since moving house-useable outdoor space is limited owing to trees, terraced garden and birds! This product works well in this situation, and as an older person living on my own. It is neat, easy to use, retracts well-so far-has a decent cover which is secure even in strong winds. Not sure how a family of 4+ would manage, but perfect for smaller households. Needed son and grandson to install for me-owing to drilling and weight of the product.Decent price at Robert Dyas, with exceptionally quick and efficient delivery. To date, after 1 month of using the product I am very pleased with performance.
How have I never spotted this amazing creature before? It advertises great for a small garden - and yes it will work in a small space- it also works in a large garden if you just hate to see washing lines out but love outdoors dried laundry!! Its amazing! Easy to install- obvs the hubby did that bit but it really was easy! Once fixed it's a one handed operation to open/close. It can take up to two machine loads of washing it is so discreet and unobtrusive - I do love how clothes dry on a long single line but I have to say I'm converted with this gizmo. Its cute - it performs - buy it!!
Pleased with this though wider on opening than thought so had to have installed in another location. Do check dimensions at the height you will need to be able to hang things out. I had someone tall install it for me which made it easier had someone else’s done it. In theory it’s simple but fiddly as heavy. It’s not a question of fixing the plate onto wall and then inserting the full drier. Everything is in one piece. Like all rotary driers ugly when in use but when not in use very neat and tidy. Also always use the handle to open and close ( check instructions!). Otherwise it seems hard to open when in fact it isn’t!
Glad i got this one. I was looking at cheaper ones but checking reviews and alot broke/ flimbsy. Im paying mine of with paypal pay in 3 so i could get it AND USE IT before colder weathers back. So here is my opinion:To put it up you cut out the template for the holes to drill from the box. Easy enough. The top holes are roughly the height the top line will be so make sure you can reach it. Putting it onto the wall was very fiddly with two people trying to hold it up and put the washer on one side and the rubber spacer on the other. Once thats done easy to put it up by pulling back and clicking the arm in place. And easy to put down just be cautious about on first time dont realise how easy it is haha. Slip it onto the notch at the top wrap it around the sides and the bottom, tuck the wires in and clip the 1 popper on either side. But does not matter to me as its not in the ground and in the way and its so much easier to fold down and to cover up. No lines to be dodged 🤗.
