There's 2 ways to set this arm up. The standard clamp to the desk and using the cable routing holes you find on desks to place the mount into. One of the standard clamp brackets couldn't be screwed in, the screws were too short and the hole it went into wasn't drilled out properly from the factory. I was able to make it work with the desk hole attachment no problem though. The bracket wasn't wide enough to mount it through the desk holes, so I cut a piece of wood, drilled a hole in the center of the wood and used that help attach it to the desk. Worked like a charm. The overall quality is poor and I would be surprised if it lasts more than a few years before something gives out.

It's sturdy and a perfect replacement for the previous stand
stand was a very good upgrade over standard arms, the specifiations say that it doesn't work with curved monitors but i got it to work with no issues, athought don't hold it against me, my monitor is 4kg 27inc and doesn't have and aggresive curve, so if you have a similar monitor it should work but don't quote me on it.
