This was handy to just leave the shaver charging on the counter while blade is protected. Now, one has to use the ugly, enormous cleaning station just to keep the blade protected.3) the gigantic cleaning station is an expensive gadget that occupies premium real estate space on the bathroom counter top (competing with sonic toothbrush, curlers and what not… while trying to keep the place looking tidy!). Instead, I prefer to just use the brush to clean and apply shaver saver lubricant spray which also disinfects and makes the shaver feel as new for the next shave.4) the on / off button is located higher on S9, right where my thumb falls when holding the shaver. This accidentally turns off the shaver in the middle of the shave. With S7 and S8, this accidental turning off just did not happen!5) finally, the most important factor being the closeness of shave. I just can not get that same closeness of shave as with my good old S7. Besides, the replacement blade on this model is twice the cost!!!I was so confident of Braun when I purchased, I threw the box away. Then, hugely disappointed with the 'enhancement' gimmicks and worse from the shallow custom service. In summary, I am so glad of Costco return policy that I was able to return it without the box.

There is nothing complicated about an electric shaver but the directions leave much to be desired. There is a switch above the power button. I can push it up or down and can tell no difference in the shaver one way or another. What does it do? The pictures that come with it mean nothing. The edger pops up but how do you get it to work? It just pops up with no movement. What turns it on? Why make something simple to be difficult?More info on the powercase would be be helpful. Does it have to be plugged in or does it have a battery in it that holds a long charge? Simple details would be helpful to understand the product better.

I am 66 years old and obviously have been shaving for a long time. I have owned just about every brand of electric shaver, both foil and rotary, but this is my first Braun. I chose the 9370 over the top rotary based on it's features and some ratings. After using it on a day and a half stubble, I am not disappointed and very happy with this purchase. It seems rather slow to charge and requires a charging adapter that is not included, which I find very odd for a shaver at this high price. But fortunately I had something to plug the USB cable into an outlet that had the required wattage and amperage. But to get back to the shaving... This was probably the fastest I have ever spent shaving my face. This shaver was great at getting everything with limited passes over each area. I especially liked the comfort between the nose and upper lip, a usually difficult area to get at. Compared to my most recent foil razor, this unit is much quieter, although not as quiet as the rotary I also have. However, the noise is not unbearable at all.The blades contour very nicely to the face and you have the option of locking the head or letting it flow freely as you shave. I don't think I would ever need to lock the head but it is a nice option to have. The battery indicator let's you know how much of a charge is left, which is a very important feature to me.One other odd issue I have is that the shaver does not come with a head guard. I thought it was possibly missing from my package so I contacted Braun and was told the head guard is no longer included. It was suggested I use the case to protect the head when not using the razor. That is not the answer I wanted to hear, as the case takes too much room in the medicine cabinet where I usually keep the razor. Not including something that might cost them 25 cents to produce just doesn't make sense to me, especially for a razor costing $200-$300!Other than that, I think this razor is as perfect as a razor can be. It is ergonomically comfortable to hold and use, does a great job very quickly and is relatively quiet, all features that are at the top of my list when selecting a new razor.Hopefully Braun will correct the 2 issues and start including the wall charger adapter and the foil cover. To sum up, I highly recommend this razor for anyone on the fence. I believe you will be quite happy with your purchase.

I have used this shaver only twice. Both times dry, once after 3 days of not shaving, once after on day. Shaver is noisy, but the shave is smooth. After 3 days takes a long time. You have to passed on your face several times. If you shave couple of times a week this is not the right shaver. Don't cut the fine hairs on the neck. Curvature of the shaving head dose not allow to reach under the nose. But you can use the trimmer. Trimmer width is too narrow and too close to shaver head. This shaver is not for traveling. Cleaning part to bulky and cleaning solution can not be put in carrying case (TSA), so you need to carry a suite case and pay extra, unless you are travelling first class. No plastic cover for shaving head, but carrying case quite good and sturdy. A plastic cap can be produced in China for about 50 cents. Consumables. Require cleaning solution and lubricant oil. All extra expenses. This a good shaver, but not suitable if you travel and if you don't mind the bulky cleaning and consumable. They don't want to sell just a shaver, but also a steady income stream by selling consumable.
I bought a 9255CC razor three years ago. Loved it coming from Norelco. I really liked the clean and charge base which I used roughly every other week (so minimal usage). After three fluid changes and one blade change, the charge and clean base does not function (just beeps at me shuts off). The razor charges fine with just the plug.Braun will not stand behind their $300 razor outside of the 2 year warranty and confirmed via chat that my only option is to send the razor to service, paying for any repairs and shipment.Great razor if you don't want to use the higher end features you are paying for, I would avoid.
I bought a Series 8 about 4 years ago. Best shave I ever got from an electric razor. After a year, though, the charging cord light came on and razor would not operate. Unable to find the receipt to send for repairs, I ended up buying a Series 9. Still great shave, but 9 months later, same issue with cord light. Two more occurrences of this issue within the warranty period. Foolishly, I decided to try once more, and bought another series 9 last August. Today, the cord warning light came on. Ironically, all 3 razors were never plugged in; only used the clean and charge station. Sorry Braun, despite the great shave, I need a more reliable product
I bought my first Braun Series 9 in 2018. It had the best shave I had experienced to that time and was very happy. But within 2 years, the attachments for the head on the base unit broke down and started to cut into my face while shaving. I had replaced the head once during the time I owned that particular series and initially thought I just needed to replace the head again but then found that the actual unit was causing the problem. I replaced that unit with a Series9 93xxcc Model 5793 in June of 2020. The on/off switch broke within the year but was easily replaced. I had to replace the head in August of 2021 (earlier than the expected 18 month replacement). I then replaced the head again in August, 2022, again nearly 6 months short of the expected 18 months. ... MoreI bought my first Braun Series 9 in 2018. I had to replace the head in August of 2021 (earlier than the expected 18 month replacement). I then replaced the head again in August, 2022, again nearly 6 months short of the expected 18 months. Shortly thereafter, the unit became much noisier than usual. (These are not quiet machines!) The noise continued to increase and I began to have more difficulty getting the shave I was used to. Three months to the day after I purchased the new head I did some extra investigating and found that one of the four small springs in the head had come loose with the attachment on the head having broken off. I think that only a part of the head has been functioning as expected leading to prolonged shaving times and the extra noise. I have now had to order a new head only 3 months after replacement! This gets a bit pricey. The other slightly irritating issue I have is that the replacement cartridges for the C&C unit rarely last even 3 weeks . . . significantly less than advertised. In summary, a great shave but don't expect to get the same life out of your shaver as advertised. The durability of the products have not been what I expected from Braun. You will need to budget a little extra if you want the shave that the Braun Series 9 can deliver (or look for alternatives).
Granted, I have had my 9370cc for 1 year and 9 months, but it doesn't cut as well as I thought it would for a >$300 shaver. The trimmer has become intermittent and noisy and there have been a number of times that the protective foil surface has failed to protect the skin around my mouth. I only shave about 4 times per week and I have used the clear & Charge Station religiously so I am surprised that my usage has had these results. I expected a lot more from a Braun device, I guess vs. the Norelco I used before. Another feature that is bothersome is the power button location. It's very easy to turn the shave off when using it; frustrating.
I purchased this product about 2 months ago when my older 7000 series shaver finally gave out after more than 5 years. I had used a 3000 series before, and the 7000 was a great upgrade and provided a clean comfortable shave. I thought the 9000 series was an upgrade from the 7000, but apparently I was completely wrong. My first shave with this razor was extremely painful, pulling hairs constantly and also provided a much worse cut than my old 7000 series. After my first shave with it the very first response my wife gave me was "Why didn't you use the new shaver you just got?" That hurt almost as much as the shave. In any case, I decided it might just be the new style of shaver head and my beard/face needed time to "adapt" and gave it a while. After my first shave with it the very first response my wife gave me was "Why didn't you use the new shaver you just got?" That hurt almost as much as the shave. In any case, I decided it might just be the new style of shaver head and my beard/face needed time to "adapt" and gave it a while. After one month, no change, and today is the 2 month anniversary and I'm done with this razor. It still pulls multiple times every shave with just one day worth of hair growth, and I have to shave twice as long (at least) to get anywhere near the closeness of shave I get with my old 7000 series. I think part of the issue is the new foil design, specifically the gold cover which appears to have box holes that basically just grab and yank out hair, baffling design to me. In any case, I will warn everyone I know to stay very far away from this razor. If you happen to be unlucky and have one yourself, I'd urge you to upgrade to a 7000 series shave as you will find it works better than this razor in every way. Shaving in the morning shouldn't feel like punishment and having to suffer through constant yanks and burns, and that's all this razor provides. I honestly have no idea where the positive reviews for this thing come from, unless they've just never used an electric shaver before and don't know how much better things can be when they are done right.
My S9 shaver is in permanent travel lock mode and is unusable. Attempts to unlock it only work for a few seconds. Fully draining the battery and recharging allows for one shave, after which the travel lock mode self-reactivates permanently again. Since, it's more than two years old, it's not under warranty. I've read online that other people have reported the same issue. I'm disappointed by the shaver's software issues and the experience since this is a premium model (9385cc - production code 9198). I certainly don't recommend this model or brand.
