This is the first time I am using the ipl and am amazed. I have quite thick black hair in my legs which grows back faster after waxing. I was a bit hesitant to use ipl initially but some how gained confidence and went for it, that's the best decision I took. It is painless. I treated my upper lip and chin using the sensitive button, just felt a warmth and didn’t have any redness or sensitivity. I used on my underarms and did feel a few prickly sensations but not painful. Legs were the easiest to treat with the largest head and a gliding movement with continuous flashes. Too soon to see slower hair growth but I’m prepared to keep using as it doesn’t take long and will be well worth it if it reduces having to deal with hair removal regularly. Hair on my upper lip and chin have entirely disappeared. Just in case it's helpful, I'm medium, olive-skinned with dark hair (SE Asian descent). I had very little trouble figuring out how to use the Braun SE pro3, it is really easy to operate & comes with an extra precision head in the box. I especially love the glide function which allows me to finish zapping under 30 minutes. I agree with other reviews that it feels like a rubber band snapping against your skin, which for me is not painful at all. It’s extremely easy to use - you just plug the machine in, press a button to switch it on and then press it against your skin for it to turn on the light intensity according to your skin tone. Now it’s ready to use, you just need to make sure the two led lights are flat onto your skin and then you press the button. It’s literally painless, I did feel a slight heat but it was honestly next to nothing! I absolutely love that it comes in its own bag which has compartments to keep everything neat and tidy!
