I have never owned an electric razor, so this is the first one............. It has given me a decent shave. My face and technique need some adjusting, as I initially gave myself a bit of razor burn on my neck..... I don't have a heavy beard except in a few places. It has handled just fine 1,2 and 3-day growth..... The trimmer also works easily and quickly. to even out the sideburns and upper lip hairs. I hope it has durability as I don't know yet. As far as cleaning goes it is a pice of cake simple and easy. The design ergonomics and construction seem well thought out. I would say it is a good bang for the buck.

The price here was extremely competitive, arrived well before the time expected. Ive not used a foil shaver for many years, however i was pleasantly surprised how the shavers have improved over the years. The shave was very smooth, product was easy to use and i managed 10 shaves before i needed to recharge the item. Ive only used it dry so far, once a day, and it seems simple to clean. It charges pretty quick, within 90 mins. I am absolutely happy and impressed with my product so far. I would certainly recomend. User 60 + yrs old.

It doesn't come with a case but it fits perfectly into my old Remington case.

I ordered a 3-1 shaver and only got the shaver. Returned it. Ordered it again and still received the wrong package. What I ordered was suppose to come with a trimmer head and 5 combs and also a little bag. I called customer service, they told me to return it and order the product again… The item on the website doesn’t exist in stores. It’s false advertisement. I have nothing against the shaver. I kept it because it was 89.99$ and I only paid 60$… but for the wrong product. Be warned… I only saw in another review that this happened to others…

Also, if I was going to use shaving cream I would go back to my safety razor. I can/could achieve a smooth feeling shave with this electric shaver by pulling my skin, forcing the hairs up above the skin. This gives a smooth feel but it takes longer, and cause some irritation. I got out and eventually switched to a double sided safety razor...those old granpa razors. I have the Merkur 34C, it does a great job. It can give a shave that just looks smooth (a work shave) or by changing direction you can have your face feel smooth (a date shave). The downsides are that it takes a little practice, you can’t use it dry, there are so many cheap blade choices (10 cents each) that it can take time to find the one that works best for you and it’s the slowest/longest shave for me.This is my first electric shaver, sort of. In a weird turn, I bought this shaver twice. The first time, my box was taped shut on the bottom and had a cheaper model in it. I was actually happy with that model as well but the charger cord was broken and I could see wires. I returned it and found a similar but different shaver with a different shaving head in the new box.I bought this electric shaver after trying my daughter's electric leg shaver. There was an immediate distinction between the two shavers. My daughter's shaver has two trimmers, one on each side, with a small foil area in the center. My shaver (this one) is the opposite, a foil to each side with a trimmer in the center. It seems clear to me, the lady's shaver is designed to be better at trimming longer hairs. The men's shaver is designed to focus on stubble and angles of the face not long hairs. This has also been my experience, my shaver does a great job at cutting stubble but as the hair gets longer, softer feeling and starts to bend it does an increasingly poor job. The easy fix is to either use a trimmer first or if it’s infrequent, use the built in trimmer to just shorten all the hair on your face/body before the normal shave.I would definitely buy this shaver again but it really comes down to what type of shave you want and how often you shave.
Barely does any shaving. Exfoliated beforehand, tried dry, wet, all different directions, circular motions, different amounts of pressure, washing the head of any excess shaving cream and hair, on different lengths of hair, etc. Eventually after what felt like at least 20 minutes I got most of the hair on my face but I was left with patches of hair on my face and neck that i had to remove with my safety razor. The only saving grace is the popup trimmer on the back which can remove hair faster at the risk of nicking yourself if you’re not careful. would only recommend using it to shorten the length of thick patches of hair then cleanly removing the rest with a cartridge razor or safety razor. But at that point you should instead buy an electric hair trimmer.

HOWEVER, I am disgruntled as the shaver fits the C&R module and charges the shaver but does NOT activate the cleaning process. It is ridiculous that Braun sell these things and then make them incompatible with updated shavers with the EXACT dimensions to fit.There should be a large font warning pasted on the product pages advising that new funds should be allocated to buying a new cleaner for nearly as much as the shaver itself!!Can’t return as now used. But it is a little cheaper made, with the buttons (the on/off and the long hair slider one) feeling less smooth, and the charging cord is much lighter & less substantial (the pins are a lot narrower, making them loose in my shaver wall socket, but probably a better fit for those strange continental sockets). I like the addition of two LED charge lights, giving a rough measure on when the device is fully charged or running down (but they only come on during charging or when in use). The actual shaving experience is exactly the same (well, it is the same foil & cutter head!), i.e. smooth & grab free, but not the closest. Ditto the long hair trimmer, if you get the right push ... Have had the shaver for about 1 week. Charged up fast and shaves well.Product seem good. Only used it a few times so far. I would have given a higher rating if the actual purchasing experience had been better. Tried 4 times to purchase and kept getting an error "try again later" message. Probably wasted 30 minutes of my life that I won't get back. Website said there was 10 in stock at the store. I drove to the store. They would be glad to sell me one for $30 more than the walmart.ca price. Tried again later and finally was successful buying the product. Not happy with the overall online purchasing experience.
