I've been getting tired of constantly changing out, expensive blades on my razor, and haven't found a solution that eliminates razor burn. So I decided to try an electric. I will never go back to a razor again. I've been using the Braun S6 for a week and have yet to experience razor burn. I use a shaving cream with this and I have been more than happy with the closeness of the shave, easily as good as a razor, and the comfort of the shave, no more burn. I don't eve need to use a post shave balm afterwards. The instruction that came with it are a little vague, but other than that, I'm more than happy with the purchase.

I have a 15 yr olld Remington 3 head razor. Until recently it still cut my beard fine. Unfortunatelyi could not find replacement blades.i then bought what I thought would be a decentrazor the braun series 6. What a disappointment. i spent the better part of an hour trying to get s close shave. I have a thin beard so i though it would give me that no problem. The closest it would cut was like a 1 to 2 day old cut.

I just bought this Braun Series 6020(S6) today and it works pretty well. I'm new to Electric Shaving. After a few passes the Braun shaved my face very well. A little trouble doing my neck, but knowing how to shave(shaving correctly has everything to do with how the hairs grow on your face and neck(the direction of growth of facial and neck hairs). With a straight razor, that's not much of a concern, but with Electric razors, it matters how you use the razor.I give Braun 6020 Electric Razor 3 stars.

I thought its time to give it a shot. I was suprised that this shaved closer than a razor for me. It is much quicker than a standard razor and cream, and I like that I can shave pretty much any where including the shower. I dont have to worry about nicks and cuts, and the bladed dont snag and pull hairs like a regular razor does sometimes painfully. The construction is solid, and I would expect this to last a long time. Function is really simple, and cleaning the head is fairly easy. This shaver is very lightweight with a rubber grip that is very easy to grip with no slips and no bulky feel. The appearence is a very nice blue with a outer black lining that looks very modern. I bought this due to my positive past experience with Braun shavers. At first I was happy but, after about a month that quickly changed. When I bought I was disappointed there was no attached flip up edger. It has a clip on edger attachment, but no where to keep that attachment in the carrying case. So it's inconvenient. Then onto the shaver itself... Battery doesn't seem like it stays strong for long. It pulls hairs so much!! I find stray hairs on my cheeks, neck and around my sideburns that it misses. It struggles to catch in the foil screen to cut, so I'm going over and over again trying to cut 1 hair!! Very frustrating. And of course it's past the time to take it back, so I'm stuck with an expensive razor in very disappointed in.

The one thing prefer with the Phillips shaver was that the head easily hinged open for cleaning without separating from the rest of the unit - no concern about dropping or even getting your hands wet while washing it off. After rinsing, you could just snap the assembly closed. With the setup of the Braun, the whole face of the cutting head must be removed and separated from the unit to clean - not quite as slick, but a pretty minor negative.One image included in this review shows this unit in comparison to the Braun BT5060 Beard Trimmer & Hair Clipper, both of which I use in regular grooming. The BT5060 has been a solid performer for the last year or so, and I am optimistic that this shaver will be as well!
Shaves extremely close and comfortable. I use shave oil with this razor dry shaving and works extremely close. Shaving the neck is takes a little more effect. I have very sensitive skin and a coarse beard the razor does a great job shaving a 2 day growth. The razor itself is very good quality and well balanced . Battery life is also very good. I am glad i purchase this model over y\the more expensive models. I have always used t\rotary shavers previously till now. i would definitely recommend this model.
