I have never had a knock box before so I have nothing to compare it to other than that. Having it is so much better than using the trash can. I have read other reviews and I do not think I would want it to be any smaller. I also am happy with the quality however I have only had it a few months.

Great big coffee grinds bin but is a tad bit too large for our kitchen bench. Would be helpful if product description on website included measurements. Works well and is to clean. If your bench space is limited, I would suggest purchasing the smaller Knock Box instead.

The Breville knock Box is exactly as described, so convenient sitting next to the coffee machine making disposal of the grinds a breeze! Lovely brushed silver exterior, surprisingly great large size which takes a while to fill. Not much force needed when knocking on the box bar, so convenient, just fantastic!

It's a knock box, what can you say?This one is solid and looks sexy. I've knocked the stuffing out of my porta-filters on many occasion and this box has seen little to no wear and tear as a result. It is heavy and feels like it's built to last.The pictures don't give this knock box any justice either - It's so much nicer in person. Not saying anything bad for the photographers that have tried to capture the aesthetes that Breville has seemingly mastered. That's a tall order. I'll say this...when you put this on your counter-top you'll see what I mean. It's just...sexy. That's the best word I can come up with to fit a description.Cheers,--DBSalem, OR
I love my knock box. Every morning when I knock out the coffee grounds, I sing: "Just one knock, that's all it took, was ... just one knock!" Apologies to whoever sang the original. It makes my morning fun 🙃
As someone who uses an espresso machine pretty much everyday, I was getting tired of always walking from my machine to my trash can. This has made making morning cup of joe so much more easier. I love the inner and outer containers and appreciate the overall size. Definitely a purchase worth spending on!
This is THE knockbox! The last knockbox I had was comprised of several parts and had a bar made of several pieces that screwed together that would loosen, as well as a rubber coating that dissolved (yuck) over time. The Breville knockbox has just two wonderful parts consisting of a cast metal base with a non-slip rubber pad, and durable plastic container insert with the knock bar permanently in place. There is a thin rubber coating on the bar that prevents damage to your portafilter and also reduces noise from "knocking".Cleaning is simple. Pull out the insert, empty contents, rinse and wipe clean. A word of caution though: this has the particular Breville brushed finish, a look that doesn't match a lot of espresso machines. Obviously if you have a Breville it will be a perfect match, but for my set up I don't like how it looks next to the shinier equipment around it. Another critique is that this is larger than it should be. In home we make an average of 4 espresso pucks per day and if I give it enough time to fill up (5-6 days), the pucks at the bottom will be completely moldy. I keep it right next to my Breville Espresso maker. One quick rap and the grounds are out. Just the right size container. Making 3 cups a day I dump it once a week and put it in the dishwasher and ready for another week of easy coffee.
