This not a cheap product. You can get cheaper electric blankets from other stores. But if you read the reviews of those blankets, you will soon see they are vastly inferior products: "You can feel the wires", "Took two hours to heat up","Died after a year".This is a quality blanket. For a start, it actually works, unlike its cheaper competitors. It heats my bed in 20 minutes, and that's at its lowest setting. My old blanket took at least 40 minutes. The removable cover means I only have to wash that, rather than delicately washing the whole blanket, although you can do that too.The controls are rather large clunky, but I can live with that. That may actually be a benefit, since they are easy to use in the dark when you are sleepy, if you want to change ... MoreThis not a cheap product. Not sure if that is a benefit. The Wifi function is useless, IMHO.You will have to make your own judgement as to whether the blanket is worth its premium price.

I have had the electric blanket for a few weeks now. It heats up really quickly, even on the lowest settings so pre-heating isn't required. I like that it has a memory feature which wasn't on my last one. I also like the timer and being able to heat the bottom and top sections independently. We have only been using it on the lowest settings and they seem to be hot enough so far. We have a deep mattress and it fits well which is great as we need to buy extra deep sheets to fit our mattress. I have two problems with this in it's design. The first being that the controllers are usually designed to hang 20-30cm below your mattress so you can easily reach it throughout the night and it is hidden away once the bed is made. The first being that the controllers are usually designed to hang 20-30cm below your mattress so you can easily reach it throughout the night and it is hidden away once the bed is made. For some odd reason the cord is 1.2m long which makes no sense and is annoying. There is no where to tuck it or store it as you need to reel it in each time you want to use the controller. It lays on the floor and looks very untidy and is a trip hazard. Even if you were to rotate the electric blanket 180 degrees to have the connection at the bottom of the bed like other models have done - then you end up with your feet going cold and pillow being heated. The second problem I have is that the hard electrical socket that is normally at your feet is right below your pillow next to your head so you feel it and it is uncomfortable. Definately two major design flaws in this model. I would not purchase this again for those reasons.

I always hated sleeping with an electric blanket but this one is totally different. Using it under a mattress protector that, along with the fitted top of the blanket, means the warmth is far more subtly diffused. The different heat settings top to bottom add to the comfort provided.Well designed with the connections not intruding into our sleeping area. The controls are bulky and were, at first, a bit of a pain but I have mounted them on the sides of the bedside tables (using velcro tape) where they are easily accessed and out of the way.Very happy with the product.

The Tassie winter is just biting and it was time for a warm bed. This electric blanket heats up fast, really fast. The dual zone seems like a nice feature but to be honest I just run them at the same level.Fit on the double bed is a little loose (DB size) - easy to put on but annoying to get completely flat. The controller is very large (compared to other brands) and could be simpler, a lot of un-needed button presses to set. However the 'Auto' memory setting is great - set it to the temp and time you like and it does this every time, easy. The quilted top, while not as nice as wool (I could not find a double with wool anywhere) means you cannot feel the wires - which is important!Overall a decent if expensive electric blanket, grab it on sale and be warm.
Very quick to heat and it took a few uses to work out that we didnt really need to turn the blanket up high - a setting of 3/4 was quite enough even on the coldest night. However we do find the electrical cabling a bit clumsy. Other blankets tend to have an 'inline' control unit (the flex from the power point enters one end of the control unit and exitis to the blanket at the other. This Breville blanket has the two wires at the same end of the control unit, so theres more wiring on the floor alongside our bed that we wud ideally like. The remedy seems to be mounting a hook or bracket somewhere adjacent to the bedhead to hang the control unit..
Every year I say I'm going to get an electric blanket and every year I make do with multiple heat packs and a beanie. This year I finally got an electric blanket and it was the best decision I've made. I was just going to get a sunbeam one with the standard 3 settings like what I had as a kid. But when I saw Breville had one and with dual zones and a timer I couldn't go past it. Breville has a good track record in our home, we have lots of Breville appliances and they always seam to be of good lasting quality. The dual zone thing is really cool (or should I say warm?) because I like having my feet warmed up hotter than my upper body. Wanted to love it but it was a big disappointment. The quilted cover isn’t very thick and has cheap plastic buttons which sit several cm inside the edge of the mattress. The skirt doesn’t secure it well. The quality doesn’t match the price. A few weeks into the second winter of use one side just died. Message sent to Breville but no reply. Will contact Myer direct to see if they will replace it, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
The blanket itself is well made. The skirt is deep and equally well made; holding the blanket securely on the mattress and preventing the blanket moving or developing folds / creases. The blanket heats up quickly. However, there are three things I don't like.- In order to provide separate head and foot circuits, the power cable enters the blanket about 2/3 the way down - just where an average height man's knees are! Uncomfortable when you bang your knee against it.- The controllers allow choice of heat settings between head and feet, but that's all. With the old style Lo/Med/Hi click switch controllers, you could reach out in the dark, half asleep and click it on (to whichever setting you want). But with these controllers, it's either off or on. Too hard to change the settings unless you're awake with your eyes open, and two hands free.- Finally, if one of the controllers dies, Breville doesn't sell replacements - you'll be up for a new blanket. (That's what happened to my four year old model)Would I buy another one ? I wouldn't be in a rush.
I came across this electric blanket when previous one suddenly died in Winter. I was in desperate need of a replacement and was very impressed with both the quick delivery from Myer and the quality of the blanket. It was easy to set-up and the controls are very user-friendly. I love the warmth the blanket has brought me during the cold Winter nights! You can also set different temperatures for the feet and body areas, as well as on different sides of the bed. The timer and its auto-switch-off function comes in very handy. Also, it comes with a 3 year warranty as an added bonus! Overall, I'm very glad I bought this electric blanket! Though it is a little pricey, it is definitely worth the investment!
I have not needed an electric blanket but now with thyroid issues and always having cold feet 🥶 I researched them and pleased I found a multi zone blanket. So now I am sleeping so much warmer and no longer need to wear socks 🧦 in bed😃 because I wanted a blanket that would just warm my lower body. This zoned blanket is perfect for that. I only need it on to warm the bed up and it heats almost instantly. I have had no problem using the control. Simple to control. I can even do it with the light off. Loved it so much I bought another one for the spare bed for visitors.
