Elegant, well-designed machine but pulls shots no better than machines one fourth the price

The only solution is either avoid using bottomless filter or do your own grinding, distribution and tamping, if you want to pull the shot the right way.The dial in assistance is a joke. It merely keeps on recommending to increase or decrease by one or two grind levels without any intelligence. You would have done this anyway just based on the brew time. The machine is convenient and easy to use nonetheless. If you have the budget, go for it but don't expect barista level results.

Incredible Machine! Worthy upgrade to Barista Touch Impress

The Jet is similar to my Touch Impress but better in every respect. Its large, beautiful display and gorgeous LED lighting make it look even better. The grinder has more settings and is more robust. Lastly, the OTA firmware updates that add recipes and potentially make the machine better are awesome. I already saw several new recipes get added in my first update. The little sounds also create a premium feel as well. I'm just extremely happy with the purchase and very impressed with the unit. It makes it about as easy as it could possibly be to quickly make a consistent, great-tasting latte. And, if I ever want to be OCD about it, I can always throw a funnel on the tamped puck, WDT it, and tamp again with a third-party tamper. Doing so *greatly* improved results with the Touch Impress, and I'm going to try on the Jet as well, but frankly, it seems so consistent so far as to maybe not even need it. If you're on the fence, buy it! You will not regret it.

The puck knock box that comes with this set is nice. The puck sucker adds decadence.Let's talk about the cost. It's actually one of the more affordable and energy efficient machines in the Oracle lineup. When I had to decide if we would finally give in and "ditch" the drip coffee, a number of other machines got my attention. This was on the higher end of what I was willing to spend (until I tracked out what I was REALLY spending at the local coffee shop), but it was less expensive than a number of the other Oracle products. The milk frothing for every other machine is what prevented me from spending on them. The Oracle series has the temp probe in the steam wand: No special pitchers, no extra monitoring, no expertise needed. The Jet was the first "affordable" Oracle I've seen. So, the MilQ feature: CRAZY GREAT! Yes, if you leave it on "auto froth", there are more bubbles/foam than "Latte art" will want (sometimes I like that foam). But it is programmable for multiple plant based "milks", and froth bubble size. When you switch over to manual froth, the wand does its thing to perfection (no foam). Creamy, silky smoothness is now a part of our lives.Pulling shots: This is where the jet boiler head REALLY SHINES. This machine heats the water in seconds. The temp and bars of pressure are very consistent. The speed at which the water blooms the puck and then makes its way through the portafilter into the cup is fast and consistent. The Jet monitors how fast a shot brews and then provides feedback for grind size adjustment to improve the body and flavor of every shot you pull. The shot size is adjustable upto Lungo+. And the cold brew technology is truly peerless.Who could ask for anything more?Easy to clean, easy to fill the water chamber, fits into a LOT of spaces.

It is truly a versatile machine that can be coaxed into doing anything with good coffee beans that you would like. Add to that its versatility and speed with perfect milk frothing, and you are off to the Le Mans of coffee brewing, or somewhere in the hills of Italy. Here are the specifics of what I’ve found:The new Breville Oracle Jet Espresso Machine is a top-tier appliance designed to bring professional-level coffee brewing into your home, packed with features that allow you to create barista-quality beverages with ease.Connects to your home WiFi very easily. Now all we need is an app.The rest of the highlights I’ve learned over its first month running:Touchscreen InterfaceThe intuitive touchscreen makes navigating through the machine’s extensive features easy, guiding you step-by-step through the process of creating your favorite drinks. With just a few taps, you can choose between different coffee types, adjust settings, and even save customized profiles for future use.Cold Brew CapabilitiesA standout feature of the Oracle Jet is its ability to brew cold coffee, which is not common in most espresso machines. Whether you’re in the mood for an iced latte or cold brew coffee, this machine is designed to handle it all with precision.Programmable Milk Steaming/FrothingThe machine offers customizable milk steaming and frothing, allowing you to dial in the perfect texture for your lattes, cappuccinos, or any milk-based drinks. You can adjust the temperature, texture, and froth level to suit your preferences, making it easy to replicate café-quality milk every time.Customization CapabilitiesOne of the most significant advantages of the Oracle Jet is how much you can customize every element of your drink. From grind size, brewing time, and shot strength to milk temperature and texture, you have full control over how your coffee is brewed. This allows you to replicate your favorite drinks from coffee shops or experiment with new flavors and strengths until you find the perfect cup.Ease of UseDespite its range of features, the Oracle Jet is designed to be incredibly user-friendly. The automated functions simplify the brewing process, so whether you’re a coffee novice or an enthusiast, you’ll find it straightforward to operate. The touchscreen interface helps guide you, and the machine’s quick brew time means no waiting around for your coffee.Ease of CareMaintaining the Oracle Jet is simple thanks to its smart alerts for descaling, cleaning, and refilling. The machine has a built-in grinder and tamping system, which reduces mess, and many of its components are removable and dishwasher-safe, making cleanup a breeze.Final ThoughtsThe Breville Oracle Jet Espresso Machine combines cutting-edge features with ease of use, offering full customization and even cold brew options, making it ideal for anyone serious about their coffee. It’s fast, efficient, and capable of producing drinks that rival your favorite café—without ever leaving home. The only thing I’ll add about having this? The Breville “puck sucker” adds decadence to an already decadent experience.

Typically, I would wait until I've used a product for a few months before I review it. This machine has provided so many pleasant surprises, I'm reviewing it after only 3 weeks of use, but I've enjoyed every minute I've used the machine.Breville designers/engineers have done it again. This machine seems to be meant for tight spaces, which describes many urban kitchens. A particularly helpful feature that isn't mentioned is a wheel which pops down to facilitate moving the machine more easily. Genius, because this sucker is heavy. As mentioned in the description, I can fill the tank by removing it from the back [thank you little wheel for making it easy to turn the machine around!] or from the top, which is particularly helpful in tight spaces. The touch screen and barista guidance make it simple to adjust every variable in preparation like grind size and heat of steamed milk. It tells you when a pour is too fast or too slow and suggests a different grind size. It is also easy to customize and create new beverage settings. While I'm still searching for just the right roast/bean, I've been satisfied with the beverages I've made so far. There is zero grit in the bottom of the cup. The hot water, like for an Americano or tea, comes from a dedicated hot water spout, so I'm not concerned about getting coffee-flavored tea or hot chocolate.Being a lazy food safety freak, I'm relieved with how easy the machine is to clean and maintain. I'm reminded to purge the steam wand after every use. There's a floating indicator to let me know when the drip tray is ready to be emptied. My only [very minor] complaint so far is that while the machine lets me know the water needs to be refilled and there's a good-sized window on the front to let me see the level, the machine doesn't seem to know when there isn't enough water for a particular beverage. Lesson learned: check the window, dummy.

Best bits….super super cant stuff up easy, screen so easy to navigate, so easy to get perfect every time, so good at doing normal or alternative milks, can set the temperature, you can set the grind size, you can pre programme all your personal drink choices, you can set the machine to start up and warm up at different times on different days. Even multiple times a day. Love that you can choose how fluffy you want your milk…they give you normal size milk jug, but a larger jug fits… comes with double and single shot heads. You are gonna love this machine

[Rewarded Review] A game changer that will pay for itself in months

I like a good cup of coffee, but never thought I was one to be lured into spending lots on coffee away from home. Until I did the math on my McDonald’s coffee habit- the gateway cup to Dunkin and Starbucks. They’re fast. It’s on my way to work. It’s a money pit for something I could bring from home, if I had the time.It gives me back my time.Including the beans and the milk (dairy, oat, almond, or soy), this fantastic machine STILL pays for itself in under three months. AND it gives me back my time. No more lines.I’ve never been an espresso person, and have never had anything but a great automatic drip coffee maker. But the occasional nice vacation or romantic date with my beloved, and those memorable latte art topped coffees have added to that “someday” dream ... MoreI like a good cup of coffee, but never thought I was one to be lured into spending lots on coffee away from home. AND it gives me back my time. No more lines.I’ve never been an espresso person, and have never had anything but a great automatic drip coffee maker. But the occasional nice vacation or romantic date with my beloved, and those memorable latte art topped coffees have added to that “someday” dream of maybe making the leap. It’s fast, makes excellent cups in less time than it took me to brew a pot, no pods for landfills, and it’s easy to use. Oh, it’s a little fancy, so there’s that. Yet somehow, it’s really sturdy. Just fun. After daily use since it was first plugged in, here’s what I’ve learned:The new Breville Oracle Jet Espresso Machine is a top-tier appliance designed to bring professional-level coffee brewing into your home. It’s packed with features that allow you to have quality coffee house pours at your fingertips. Here are the highlights:Touchscreen InterfaceThe intuitive touchscreen makes navigating through the machine’s extensive features easy, guiding you step-by-step through the process of creating your favorite drinks. This allows you to repeat favorites, or experiment with new flavors and strengths until you find the perfect cup.Ease of UseDespite its range of features, the Oracle Jet is designed to be incredibly user-friendly. The automated functions simplify the brewing process, so whether you’re a coffee novice or an enthusiast, you’ll find it straightforward to operate. The touchscreen interface helps guide you, and the machine’s quick brew time means no waiting around for your coffee. I’ve loved feeling like I have some input and control over what I make with this machine. Just enough automation to give me what I want, but a willingness to let me tweak it without breaking it.Ease of CareMaintaining the Oracle Jet is simple thanks to its smart alerts for descaling, cleaning, and refilling. It’s fast, efficient, and capable of producing drinks that rival your favorite café—without ever leaving home.Is espresso a hobby for me? No. Is a great cup of coffee something important to me? Absolutely yes! And the Oracle Jet delivers.

[Rewarded Review] No regrets at all

Before I review Breville Oracle Jet, I want to add that I ordered it to a different address, but instead it was delivered to my home address, not happy about that, but I did not want tk take away stars from this amazing product for carelessness of Best Buy. Now on to Breville Oracle Jet, I purchased many years ago Breville Express, and was impressed by build quality and amazing coffee, despite it being still fully functional with no issues at all it was time to upgrade to next level up of an espresso machine. I’ve looked into many of super automatic machines, but most are fully plastic, and have too many smal parts that scream for issues ro come, plus many negative reviews and not thag cheap. Breville is not cheap, but it screams premium build, looks amazing, and has long history of amazing products, so when Breville released Oracle Jet, which can be updated with software, plus it is in my option about 95% super automatic, and that 5% that i have to do takes seconds. It offers lots of options of coffee drinks, which are already pre-set, but i can further make it my own and save it under new settings. It also guides you to making perfect coffee with grinding beans, and it sure does. Crema that comes out with coffee is yummy, and delicious on its own without needing to add milk product, but when making latte or a cappuccino, absolutely best tasting outcome. I remember days when I paid $8 for a cup of latte just because I couldn’t make one tasting that good with my Breville Express, but now what i can make at home tastes better than that $8 cup of latte. One would think that it takes a lot of time to make a drink, absolutely not, so quick, so delicious, I am just so extremely happy that I have this amazing machine at home. Every drink comes out perfect every single time. I made drinks for others, and makes me feel like I am a professional barista, because any drink they requested I perfected it with my Breville Oracle Jet. Price was hard to swallow, but if I calculated how much I spent previously on outside coffee drinks, this will profit on its own in no time at all. I have absolutely no regrets in buying this product.
