Breville 3D fan reviewThis is the quietest fan I've ever owned! I love the gentle breeze of speed 1 on nights when it’s just a little too warm. Have to listen hard to hear if it’s actually on, at the lowest speed.Having the up-down oscillating option is great for refreshing the whole room. I like putting both horizontal and vertical oscillation on when all I want is a slight breeze every so often—less often than with vertical off. There are a few minor things I’d change about this fan:1. Make it go down a bit lower, so it can reach me more effectively when I’m lying on the floor2. Let me program my own fan speed and timer combinations. Eg. Have it on speed 3 for an hour, then speed 1 for the rest of the night.2. Make the lights dim or turn off after a certain ... MoreBreville 3D fan reviewThis is the quietest fan I've ever owned! They light up the room, but are very easy to cover with a folded pillowcase. When the lights are covered, the physical remote doesn’t work, but that’s where the wifi option comes in handy. I really like being able to control the fan from my phone, even before I come home. The fan has a nice sturdy base. I like having the controls on the base, rather than the stem.I’ve only used cheap remote control fans in the past, and this one is head, shoulders, knees and ankles above any of them!

I purchased this fan a week ago and I love it. Its very effective and very quiet, has great fan options including speed and rotation. The air distribution is fluid and soft, not a hard force against you, and yet on high settings still powerful. I have a Dyson upright fan, which I also love but was twice the price of this and I would say they are on par for effectiveness. This fan is great to have on in the living room as you can comfortably hear the tv with it going, which you cannot with many other fans. It would also be an excellent fan in the bedroom. As a bonus, it has a very accurate temperative gauge on the display. All in all, it is pricey but worth the money for quiet and effective and on par with much more expensive products. I do think you get what you pay ... MoreI purchased this fan a week ago and I love it. Its very effective and very quiet, has great fan options including speed and rotation. This fan is soo practical. Lightweight with literally no sound or loud circling noise. Puts out a lovely breeze & is perfect for a bedroom & or use of portable fan around the house. Its strong powered however not ideal for single use in full house with no ceiling fans. Very useful with the remote working perfectly! Fan is also very Schlick & trendy, super aesthetically pleasing! )

*Design: One heck of an attractive appliance! Cabling comes out the back of the circular base(on ground) so there's no dangling cable. This sturdy base also homes the psychical/tactile buttons so it keeps everything above it looking incredibly clean/minimal.Chassis/housing constructed with a mixture of some lightweight metal (the stem seems to be made of aluminium) and mostly plastic (BUT the really solid/dense feeling kind, y'know, the good stuff). Personal favourite design elements include the fan-blade cover/outer-casing with it's contoured, radial, wave-like grill striations, and the downright slick brushed metal disk logo that sits depressed in the middle. As the fan does it's thing, room lights bounce off the decal much like a record or CD would when you ... More*Design: One heck of an attractive appliance! As the fan does it's thing, room lights bounce off the decal much like a record or CD would when you tilted it. Basically, this thing is distracting eye-candy.*Features/connectivity: WIFI connectivity worked like a treat. There is one shortcoming though. It's apparent lack of compatibility with Google Home, Alexa, Homekit...basically anything. Instead it runs over the Breville home-control downloadable app which, again, works well, but kinda defeats the purpose of having such a convenience when you need to; Grab your phone->Unlock it->navigate to the app-->wait for it to open->select the paired device and go on to to do the rest. It'd be nice to give any of the voice assistants a shout or grab the remote.*Performance: Especially excels at the quieter/lower power levels and the 'natural' mode works like a charm (the best kind of 'white-noise'). Higher power levels are great as well of course, it's just that this, and frankly ANY fan, works best as an air circulator and not a dedicated cooler/air-conditioner in a lot of situations. But it's consistency in air flow/direction-management and less of an in-your-face and more collective/indirect cooling functionality is exactly what I wanted.Value/pricing: Definitely more of a boujee item, but, much like any Dyson vacuum; It exudes quality/thoughtful design, is an absolute powerhouse and works flawlessly, all the while looking so darn good doing it.Overall; Good stuff, Breville!
It blows cool air well enough, but all of the additional features that I assume are what drive the price up have proved pretty unnecessary, unless you are particularly attached to having a fan blowing at a variety of random speeds or being able to turn it on remotely. The LED display is sensitive to the point that I keep hitting the wrong button accidentally and it is SO BRIGHT. If you have it in your room at night prepare for a pretty significant light source as it switches back and forth between flashing the temperature and the current speed setting, with the only way to turn it off being very gently touching a random part of the touch menu pad thing (which is something I discovered only through trial and error, the instructions don’t say this anywhere that I ... MoreIt blows cool air well enough, but all of the additional features that I assume are what drive the price up have proved pretty unnecessary, unless you are particularly attached to having a fan blowing at a variety of random speeds or being able to turn it on remotely. The LED display is sensitive to the point that I keep hitting the wrong button accidentally and it is SO BRIGHT. I have had it for a couple of months and it has already started to make weird clicking noises, presumably because something is coming loose. As far as noise goes it isn’t terribly loud, but I don’t know what kind of monster fans other reviewers had because it’s not that quiet either. It sounds like a fan, and at higher speeds it is definitely noticeable.Overall I’d say it serves its purpose but the clunky, heavy design, slew of unnecessary features and awkward LED display make me feel like it is super overpriced.
Purchased in Jan 21 (approx 16 months old), as per other reviews the fan is on the shorter side and sits roughly level with my bed mattress, which is not ideal. The display lights are very bright (and flash), as it is in my bedroom I've taken to putting a pamphlet over the display so I can get some sleep. I gave up on trying to get it to connect to my phone/Wi-Fi, it was way to frustrating. For the price I expected it would be heavier, but as others have mentioned it is very plasticky. I live in a small unit, so the amount of air circulating was good and on the lower speed settings it is very quiet, which I loved. Definitely a premium product with premium features which would suit most living areas including bedrooms. It is a bit on the short side and it doesn't have an adjustable height, so it may not be good for people who have a high mattress. If it lasts a good 10+ years it'll be worth the money. Hopefully the bearings/bushings can be serviced or replaced as I imagine they'd be the first things to fail. Test it in store and buy it if you think it will suit your needs. Most complaints I've seen are written by people who wanted a 200W workshop fan to act as the next tropical cyclone, couldn't be bothered taping over the display and have a heighened sensitivity to ambient light while sleeping, or couldn't be bothered measuring the height of their mattress and comparing it ... MoreDefinitely a premium product with premium features which would suit most living areas including bedrooms. If nothing in life pleases you, save the difference and buy a $15 peice of junk to complain about instead.
I went looking for a fan with larger blades so that it would be quiet (and not have to spin so fast to push more air which fans with narrow blades have to do to compensate) and so I asked for a demonstration of this one. It's amazing, with 9 blades and is quiet even at the maximum setting of 8. The granularity of speeds is also excellent (most fans only have 3). I don't use the vertical oscillator much apart from getting it at the right upward angle to hit me in the face, but it's nice to know I have 100% control over the direction. I also use the app on my phone to control it (although the remote is also convenient if I'm not using my phone). The fan only supports 2.4GHz wifi but that's fine. Needed more air in my yoga studio over the summer. I have a vornado air circulator and a pedestal fan, both of which are great, and wanted something that would be helpful spreading warm air too. This is brilliant! I had no idea I was buying something so hi tech, quiet, efficient and lovely to look at (for a fan). Even reminds me of ET when it goes on full rotation mode. Worth the price
Very small appliance. Once set up it’s way smaller than an equivalent brand. I was shocked how small it was. Doesn’t generate much airflow. Guess I should have checked Choices reviews, it only scored 70% (not recommend by Choice). Breville have put out a toy fan, that’s disgusted as a hair dryer!! As well, you cannot turn the light off on the lcd panel (confirmed with Breville Support team). Useless for the bedroom. Useless as a fan and good for nothing device! Poor effort Breville. Your engineering team lucked out on this appliance. Stick to what you do best. Let the other brands design fans. Purchased DJ Online.
