Dust, pet dander, smoking, odours, allergies, and particles are just a few of the health problems related to the air that the HEPA filter, pre-filter, and carbon filter minimise and eliminate. Throughout the year, you can use heating and cooling modes with oscillations of 60, 120, and 180 degrees to cool off and heat up your space. The BLDC motor that was installed effectively lowers environmental noise and energy consumption. By just viewing the temperature and touch panel display, you can change the current heating and cooling settings and determine the indoor temperature. When you're not at home, use the Breville Home Connect App to manage your home's air purification; change settings and turn on air purification when you're on the go, and your house will be ready for you when you return. The Breville Air Rounder uses data from the attached thermostat to automatically regulate the heating operation; by cutting off air flow when the required temperature is attained, this saves power and money. In order to help you and your family enjoy a better night's sleep, the Air Rounder Connect helps you with your regular nightly sleeping habits. The ambient light sensor feeds data to the device and automatically turns off the connected lights.

Absolute waste of money - does not work as an air purifier

What do you buy an air purifier to do? Purify the air. However this is cheap and nasty fan heater that can't be used as an air purifier. There is literally no way to use this without blasting hot air or trying to cool everything down, wasting huge amounts of electricity in the process. If you live in a very cold house and like wasting electricity then this might be for you. But if you want clean air and to reduce mould and allergies then buy something else.

I might have got unlucky with this one and maybe it was broken, but I had a bad experience. The thermostat said it was 25 degrees in my room, although my Dyson said 19. Not a big deal, they are not supposed to be accurate. However, to get it to heat the room I had to put the target temperature as 30 degrees. The heater would only blow a minimal amount of air and after a while would turn off because it had reach the 30 degrees, which was definitely not true. I even turned it off and just let the temperature display on while heating the room with my other heater. In this case, the Breville's thermostat started to go down and reached 23 degrees. I tried a few more times and the same happened. Also, beware that the air quality is not displayed neither in the app nor on the machine. That is only in the more expensive version. And it can't connect to 5G, you have to change the connection to a lower quality (something easy to do but this wasn't clear beforehand) Overall, not worth the $400 price tag. I ended up paying $100 more and getting a Dyson.

I'm planning on returning this. It is quite incoveniant and was not as described, quite dangerous also. Designed for small areas it requires you to have a 1.7 clearance around it which is hard in small areas. Designed to be moved you have to lift it like a slippery little toddler, it has no handle to move it. This makes it unsafe and not great for anyone with accessibility issues. The osciliation is limited to height so you have to put it on a table or stand which you are told not to do. The fan is also quite light so i still have to go buy a pedestal fan or tower fan now, really it's a just an expensive heater with purifier. The option to use the purifier with low fan/heat doesnt exist. Im looking at buying the mini purfier only instead and will invest in a a fan. ... MoreI'm planning on returning this. As a Mum raising two young kids who suffer from asthma, keeping the air at home purified 100% is essential to their wellbeing and personal development. Breville’s Air Rounder Connect Purifier does the job brilliantly well without compromise. Thank goodness for the 3-stage air purification supported by HEPA filter, my kids can study and play at home with absolute peace of mind. The purifier provides excellent air quality, quietly and gently, without disrupting our lifestyle. With versatile heating and cooling features, I can work from home – no worries, and importantly the number of asthmatic setbacks has lessened considerably since setting up Breville purifier at home. It is energy efficient and versatile, and with the 7-hour auto-off timer, I take comfort that I can go about my business at home without worrying about utility bills. As the winter season arrives at our doorstep, it gives me the peace of mind that my young family is safe, day and night. My kids can sleep soundly, supported by the Smart Night Mode, ensuring a disruption-free sleep relaxation. Writing this review, the Victorian 7-day lockdown would be starting soon, and this means staying home with my kids more often, experiencing clean purified air, living with ease and confidence, and not worrying about dust and nasty allergens, and importantly, feeling happy and breathing easy all-round! I’m a true FAN of Breville’s quality product honestly. Thank you so much!

Good but get the bigger size
8 February 2022

Some of the reviews for this were making me worried but it was actually a really easy set up and is simple to use with the app. The heater heats up a small room really quickly, the cool fan on high is powerful but loud. When just on cool Purify mode its just like a white noise, quieter than a split system. The only issues I’ve had is for some reason the app doesn’t like to turn off the heater, sometimes I have to unplug it to turn it off. And sometimes pressing the power button on the unit doesn’t seem to turn it off either. I like to set the timer anyway so it will turn off automatically. I wish it had the air quality monitor, I didn’t realise until after I purchased that it’s only the bigger size unit that has it. Also the filters are expensive so you’re better off getting the bigger unit with a bigger filter, you’ll save more in the long run. I ended up seeing the bigger unit on sale for the same price as the small one a week after I bought it! I would buy the big one too but my place is small and I can’t justify it right now. Carrying the unit from room to room as needed is easy, it’s light. Overall, I have no idea if it’s doing anything for the air quality because there is no way to monitor it using this appliance, but I’m happy with it even just as a heater and fan.

Not able to identify its efficiency. It was not showing the correct temperature, that I would like to select and set. It is very confusing. In the Middle of the night, automatically the power is off. Is it due to the room reaching any set temp? If it is so, then when room temp drops it's not switching on... I'm a Dyson user. I am using Dyson products since 2018 and had a very good experience with them. This year, no product available on the market by Dyson, So I'm forced to choose this. Still, not able to give a complete satisfactory opinion.

Order placed online with Good Guys for Breville The Air Rounder Plus Connect was easy to do, follow up info and delivery very quick, next day.Opened BAR unit, Looks very good, colour, size and style blends in with furniture and the rest... great. Lights on unit go off when gets dark in room as you can also turn off in the App. The remote control magnetic storage location is very good. The following what we found/experience. The filter inside the unit was wrapped in plastic, which we did not initially open and see, no mention of it on the unit, ie similar to the remote control unit where it had a plastic sleeve to pull out before use, this should also have been marked at the filter door, anyway we figured it out after two attempts to start the unit. (later we noticed a small sticker on the box about it, no one looks at box ) )On the indicators panel on the front of the unit, ie Temp, Particle Matter PM, Air quality etc, also has a WiFi signal indicator. As there was a BIG colourful sheet sticker in front of it, we did not see it, the Wifi was not picking up signal to mobile phone. Removed sheet and connected straight away. There is also a Wifi symbol on the start button, no response, as instruction booklet says keep pressing button to connect WiFi, page 9, letter E .Installed and started to use the APP no problems. After few days, tried the Automation in App, initially confusing but worked out OK to start heater every morning for 3 hours oscillating and on medium, great. After a few days of use noticed the Temp never reaches 25, ie the default setting, after 21 it stops, which is actually better. The PM indicator on the unit does not show anything ie always 00, on the App shows a number but not on the unit. The Air quality seems to be working, showing always Good. On one occasion, opened the windows and another time lit up a candle, both PM and AirQ changed, I guess that's a simple indication that it is working OK. The filter showed 291 days left on start up day one, when we saw that we were wondering why not 365 ... as filter change recommendation for product we thought/read is yearly, was this unit used before or is it not brand new were our thoughts.Initially we kept oscillation angle at 60, it started to make a squeaking sound when reaches left side, this started after a week of daily use, when we changed it to 360 then back to 60 angle few times, no sounds, btw, heating an open floor plan seems better if you keep it on 360 angle.Overall, VERY GOOD product, few initial issues, heating is OK, as we bought it to help our Air Con system, and it is making Air Con work less harder and shorter time and reach acceptable heating Temp quicker. The cooling part will try in warmer days.

Perfect for us

We originally purchased the larger model of the air rounder for our lounge. The room does get chilly in the cooler seasons and we were also after the filter/purifier features, as our grandson has cough asthma. The air rounder warms us nicely and we love the thermostat clicking in to keep us warm without having to worry about turning heat up and down. Our grandson has not had any asthma attacks here since we installed the air rounder. We were so impressed we got the smaller model for our bedroom and love that one too! I'm sleeping nice and cosy all night for the first time since we moved in to this house. I also really like that you can see the level of particulates. You can see the level dropping. I couldn't recommend this product more highly.

Too Smart producer for stupid buyers
27 July 2022

Bought this heater home. Unbox it and turn on. The heater automatically turns off after 15-30 mins. Try again. Repeated issue. Wonder if the thing is broken. Go youtube for product review and found out: the heater’s inner filter has a plastic bag covering it! That is why it keeps being over heat (and maybe damaged). Lucky no fire so far. Why producer? Why put the bag there? And if you do, At least give us an eye catching warning!!!

purifying great, fan defaults to blasting hot air after being powered off.
6 February 2022

Bought this fan mainly for air purifying and moving air around my daughter's bedroom. I'm happy with these functions but find it annoying that after powering down, this breville unit defaults to blasting 25 degrees c hot air until you reset the temperature to cool again. It's a pfaff that my daughter would need help with. Surely it would be better for this appliance to remember the setting it was at last time? We bought as a cheaper alt for our air purifying Dyson. It's a $600 saving but the Dyson is more intuitive to set up and doesn't require the pfaffing with temp. Would recommend if you can put up with this. I'm surprised that other reviews remark in the products inablility to cool a room down. It doesn't claim to be an airconditioner. It moves the air around.
