I haven’t bought/used a blender in over 25 years so I was surprised by the options and price points out there when I started my product search. I didn’t need or want a gadgety, mega blender and found a lot of designs are, quite frankly, ugly (call me shallow)! 😜 But this Brevlle model is pretty terrific. It’s not only a pretty design (curvy, not boxing), it’s sturdy, quiet, easy to use, and powerful. But the thing I like most is its self cleaning feature! Wow who knew this would be the thing I judge all blenders on from now on!! I’m really enjoying using it. It’s become almost an everyday tool in my kitchen. Yay!

Wow, what a great blender! After putting up with an expensive competitor product for the last couple of years it's refreshing to have bought this and found how much better it is! First off is the cleaning, as it's a single unit and the blades are not a removable section no muck is making its way through, and there are no seals to build up grime slowly, so it's much better to use. Secondly, the blending is far superior, it does a great job and smoothies come out well-blended and airy. I give it five stars for both aspects. I was tempted to drop a star as it is pretty noisy, but honestly given the far superior performance and design I'm sticking to the 5 stars.

Fantastic blender! Love the intuitive features especially the Smoothie buttons - there's never a piece of fruit or veg that doesn't get pulverized. After use, I put in a few cups of barely hot water with a drop of dish soap and hit the Self Clean button. There's no residue whatsoever of the avocado oil I put in my smoothie. Lastly, and a very smart feature, are the small holes on on the outside base of the blender jug. They allow for water to drain completely after its run through the dishwasher! No more trying to get the jug bottom full of water to the sink to dump it out like on ALL other blenders I've had in the past. Genius. Hope the blender lasts a long time because I love it!

My daughter and I purchased this blender for my 81 year old mother. We needed a blender that was moderately priced, high powered and self cleaning so she wouldn't have to handle the blades. This one fit the bill. The ring to lift off the lid is a very nice touch and helpful for her too. She has so far only made smoothies with it, but will soon venture into other recipes. She said, "I never thought I'd think of a blender as a fun toy. This is a super blender! Funny how the simple things in life can make it fun. One of the recipes that came with it is for macaroni and peas. I think I might make that for a meal soon." Regarding cleaning it she said, "I like watching the soap foam up." She said it's actually fun to clean! This blender was life changing for her. She's had it just a little over a week and is already seeing some major health benefits from her smoothies. She requested the red one, and it's beautiful. She loves the color. I own a Vitamix and this blender is quieter than that one. I am familiar with the Breville brand as I own a Juice Fountain. Excellent brand, excellent products and they stand behind them. I highly recommend this blender.
This blender manages to process frozen fruit and ice, and purées excellently. Blends are well blended. Air pockets can occur and are annoying but you can reach through the removable center of the lid to poke them out. TIP: the air pockets stopped being such an issue once I read the single line in the booklet that mentions: “always add the liquids first” when making a smoothie. I had been doing it by trying to blend frozen fruit before adding milk etc. and it always needed burping. Once I started doing that, smoothie making with frozen stuff went much more smoothly with few air pockets. Game changer!I remove one for the fact that it’s really loud in parts of smoothie mode (I leave the room) and the little finger ring atop the lid adds a half inch to the stated ... Only had it a short time but does exactly what we need. Motor and blades are powerful and strong enough to make short work of ice and vegies. Ice pulse mode allows the ice to come back into contact with the blades. whilst not variable the 5 speed setting allow it to slow down enough for a smooth mayo that is not aerated, fast enough for super thick and light smoothies, an in-between for great slushie's. The counter to show you how long you have been blending is a nice touch. The jug size is good being able to deal with 100ml through to 1.5lt. Find it a good unit between little personal blender that lack power and speed control, and costly units that tend to be more on the commercial side.
I have a Breville blender in my summer home and I love it. The newest model has a plastic jug (not glass as my first one does), and a plastic base (not metal as my first one does), which I just purchased for my condo. This version is also a little taller, so it can't fit easily under my kitchen cabinets.I know companies are cutting costs but this looks cheap. I purchased it from Crate and Barrel, but I have now seen it at Home Goods/TJ Maxx for $70 less. I guess Breville is trying to get rid of inventory of a sub-par product. I thought Breville was a top-notch company so I didn't do as much research. My fault - but just want other customers to check the products out more thoroughly. I've only used it once and it worked ok. But it looks cheap sitting on my counter. ... MoreI have a Breville blender in my summer home and I love it. To make more money, I guess, for the company.
I loved this blender when I first purchased it. I bought it after it was reviewed by America's Test Kitchen (one of their favourites). I used it almost daily for smoothies and it worked well (is loud on smoothie setting). Under a year the motor went but it was still under warranty and it was quickly replaced which was great service by Breville. One drawback was that it came with a newer lid which was horrible (food gets stuck under the rubber ring and mold develops; once you clean under the rubber ring, it then becomes difficult to place the lid on the pitcher - I see there are similar complaints by others in their reviews). My daughter has the same blender and now just over 3 years her motor has gone (smoking and smell; of course no longer under warranty). We ... MoreI loved this blender when I first purchased it. We simply can't justify buying another one when the motor doesn't last.
My blender was on the way out - fast. I drink 2 smoothies a day, everyday, so I couldn't hold off on replacing. What I thought was a great blender is light years behind the Fresh & Furious. Between a very easy to clean blending pitcher to a motor base that is super self contained, this is the new standard for me. I love the smoothie setting - I can push the button, walk away and come back to a perfectly blended and delicious drink that doesn't separate. I am only sorry that I didn't know about it before - would have made functionality and clean up much quicker - now I know and have passed the word on to others.
We’ve had our blender for almost 2 years and primarily use it for smoothies. Works really well on a daily bais blending frozen fruit and liquids using the smoothie function. It’s also been great for pestos and other dips.I’m particularly impressed with Breville customer service. We were having an issue which they diagnosed and then sent the necessary parts to resolve the issue! They were easy to work with and absolutely stood behind their product.I will always return to companies with this type of customer service!
