Breville The Paradice 9 Food Processor Sea Salt BFP638SST

Whoa! This food processor is simply the best I've had. I don't know where to start.... It is fast, efficient, and quiet. Yes, a little cumbersome with its accessories, but honestly, now I have a place to fit all of them, so it's perfect. The base is quite heavier than any other food processors I've had, but it turned out to be a plus: the base won't budge from its place due to its weight, so there is no holding the base with one hand to remove the bowl with the other. I was so curious and excited about this; I've tried all the accessories already, and love them all. I diced carrots and cucumbers, sliced onions, shredded carrots, made dough, and some salsa. I was so curious and excited about this; I've tried all the accessories already, and love them all. I diced carrots and cucumbers, sliced onions, shredded carrots, made dough, and some salsa. The bowl is very light, I can hold it easily in one hand, removing it from the base is so easy; it is large enough to receive 6 sliced onions (medium). I love how it stops automatically when I remove the top to add more carrots, onions...., it cuts so fast and is so quiet, I was really impressed, it works with me just perfectly. The slicer has a thickness option, which is genius! I diced a cucumber in about 6 seconds, and 5 carrots in 10 may be. It makes it so easy to prep. all the veggies for the week! Washes /rinses very easily for continual use for different recipes. Everything goes in the dishwasher, except one item. I recommend watching a video about the product at first, it makes it easier to grab how everything fits together. I can only recommend this product, and want to thank Breville for a product very well made and thought. The only thing I would change is to be able to dice a little bigger than what is offered. It's just a preference, but the dicer is one size only (pretty small square), and might not always fit your needs.

My old food processor was from another company and is old enough that it came with VHS tapes. It lived under the counter and really only came out around the holidays. I figured it would be similar with the Paradice, but that is NOT the case. The Paradice is beautiful, easy to use, so easy to clean, and has earned a permanent spot on TOP of the counter. Excited for the dicing feature, it quickly showed that it was a major time saver using the other discs as well. The machine is very easy to use and all parts slide together so nicely. Maybe I'm gushing because it's such an upgrade from my previous processor, but I couldn't be more happy with this. Oh, and the packaging it came in was top notch! Even though there was noticeable damage to the exterior shipping box, all of the contents inside were in perfect condition. The storage cases for the discs are clearly well thought out. I've been using the Paradice almost daily for the last few days and I'm continually impressed with the design - especially the wall plug! Overall, this is an incredibly well designed processor that is more than worth its price tag.

A True Kitchen Companion

The Breville Paradice 9 is more than just a food processor, it's a kitchen companion - an assistant to me as a home chef the way a caddy is to a golfer. Not only does it dice, slice, mix, chop, grate, shred and knead, but it does all of this within a 5 second timeframe - it astounds me.Other than its exceptional ability to perform all of the above functions at incredibly high speed, the onboard storage caddy the Paradice 9 has is what I love most about it and find most helpful. It has 9 color-coded accessories that all pack into the color-coded storage caddy, making it visibly easy to both select the required accessory and pack it up. A very cool appliance!

This appliance is quite cool, it comes with several attachments and functions including dicing, slicing, mincing, cubing, shredding and no doubt more. When it arrived, it was beautifully and safely packaged to perfection. Opening it up and putting it together was surprisingly easy given the amount of attachments available. The instructions were easy to follow and I must say, the prospect of never having to stand around slicing a million potatoes for potato bake at family events is a massive convenience that drew me to this product to begin with. After trying a few different functions I found the only issue I take with this appliance is that when dicing onion and zucchini’s, some of the skin or layers would get trapped above the canister instead of shredding or ... MoreThis appliance is quite cool, it comes with several attachments and functions including dicing, slicing, mincing, cubing, shredding and no doubt more. After trying a few different functions I found the only issue I take with this appliance is that when dicing onion and zucchini’s, some of the skin or layers would get trapped above the canister instead of shredding or dicing with the rest of the vegetable. This appliance is also large, not exactly a counter item despite its lovely modern look. Due to the amount of pieces in this item, it would look better tucked away in a cupboard. Easy days!

Amazing All Rounder!!

This appliance is really good. It comes with several attachments and functions including dicing, slicing, mincing, cubing and shredding. The instructions were easy to follow and I must say, the prospect of never having to stand around slicing a million potatoes for potato bake at family meal times is just brilliant. After trying a few different functions I found that everything worked perfectly for me i couldnt fault it. Just an amazing appliance that everyone should have in their kitchen. High quality food processor.

Wow, it's some food processor that does dicing, slicing, blending, and dough-kneading! The base has a good weight to it, and the entire unit at close inspection seems built very well and with high quality. Not one piece seemed flimsy. My favorite part is the caddy that holds all the attachments and blades. It's impressive. It took me 30 minutes to unwrap every piece with my son's help. We took our time checking them out and reading the manual.I was excited to try this machine to do my least favorite thing to do, chopping and slicing onions. And it chopped and sliced the onion perfectly and quickly. My only problem is that the opening where the food goes into is still a but small. Larger items like a big onion must be cut in half first in order to fit through. But ... MoreWow, it's some food processor that does dicing, slicing, blending, and dough-kneading! And it chopped and sliced the onion perfectly and quickly. My only problem is that the opening where the food goes into is still a but small. Larger items like a big onion must be cut in half first in order to fit through. But compared to other processors I've tried in the past, it is bigger. I also love that the smaller pusher is also a measuring cup. Ingenius. The machine also does not turn on until it senses there's food inside the tunnel. I assume it's for safety. The machine's 9 cup capacity allows to handle large amount of food. A smaller unit I used to have was aggravating because I had to empty the bowl multiple times if I needed to make big portions. And it doesn't require you constantly scaping the bowl to dislodge food chunks around the blades like cheaper units I had in the past. It's time-saving. The machine has a separate space on the bottom of the base to wrap the power cord around to conveniently adjust the length to your need.Lastly, it's surprisingly quiet. I expected it to be loud from my past experiences. I was surprised to find it as quiet as it was. This is an impressive food processor that efficiently handles large portions of food and does a lot. It's well-designed and well-made kitchen appliance that will actually be useful.

Loving our food processor 'Shape-o-Ball'

As vegetarians, we have resisted the slow cooker of our carnivore friends. Our interest in the SLOW FOOD movement has seen us resist the thermomix...what's wrong with taking time over the preparation of a lovely meal? This finds me very happy to discuss the merits of our newly acquired food processor from Breville. So what do we like about it?It's compact! Limited bench space is happily handed over to our Breville. It may remind me of the Tupperware Shape-O-Ball from the 70's, but I learnt a lot from that! Having all the attachments in one place is a great innovation. No hunting through cupboards for the slicing attachment or the small bowl and second blade. It's powerful! My old food processor was twice the size and ran at half the speed. What's not to like ... MoreAs vegetarians, we have resisted the slow cooker of our carnivore friends. My old food processor was twice the size and ran at half the speed. What's not to like here! It's quiet! What's that..The hummus is ready already?? I didn't even know I had started. It has a wide pourer! This makes a difference. Making soup is a winter mainstay and this makes it all a more successful pour from bowl to dish.It has a wide funnel! While I'm glad to have happy fat carrots, they need to get grated and they need to fit in the processor. Much wider than our previous model. The blade attachment: It's a good thing...it's very tight, so much better with liquid. Still working out how to safely detach it when washing, but happy that there is a secure fitting.

Powerful, neat storage

I had the 16 cup food processor before, I love it. Now I have the 9 cup food processor. I upload the picture of 2 food processor. The black one is the 16 cup, the silver one is the 9 cup. Here’s my opinion:1. Breville cares about every detail. There’s a hole on electric plug to help you hold and pull it conveniently. Even the tape to secure all parts is one-side-fold so you can pull it out easily. With this 9 cup food processor, there’s the cord storage under the engine.2. The engine of the paradice 9 cup food processor is very powerful. It’s really heavy and sturdy. It can process the whole food bowl smoothly in just 15-20 seconds.3. The complex storage is a plus. But honestly it takes me time to find out how to get accessories out of storage case.4. The material quality is good, the design is nice. Colorful accessories make this boy looks cute and fun.I’m happy to have more Breville products.

Versatile and beautifully put together.

The Paradice 9 is a very versatile piece of kitchen equipment. We haven't used all the features yet. Maybe chopping and dicing vegetables for soup next and then mixing some dough to use remaining vegetables and make some pasties. It's a shame there are no recipes included or comprehensive instructions but everything to set up is available online. It's easy to clean and a vast majority of the parts can go in the dishwasher. Cleverly all the parts are colour coded and housed in their own spot in the machine, making it easy to store away. Its a lot quieter than similar kitchen appliances I have used.It feels very safe to use it has to have the chute attached before it will start and there is a handy utensil which pushes the food down the chute so your fingers don't ... MoreThe Paradice 9 is a very versatile piece of kitchen equipment. Wow - What a Food Processor!

Wow Wow Wow! This is quite the food processor! First things first - it looks great! I have a rather small kitchen with limited cupboard and also bench space. This food processor is super compact and easily fits (and looks great!) on my bench. It has a smaller foot print than my previous food processor (also a Breville) and all parts are housed neatly housed inside the bowl. My previous one didn't do this so it saves up so much space and also means that one part you don't use very often doesn't get lost at the back of a draw or cupboard. The parts are also colour coded which makes it super easy to find what you need. I haven't had a chance to use all the attachments, but what I have, they have all be super useful and easy to put together. A highlight is the dicing ... MoreWow Wow Wow! I would highly recommend this food processor - especially for a kitchen which is low on space!
