I have used Breville's The Q every single day for about six weeks now to blend up the most perfect green smoothies every morning. There is no fibrous green that this thing can't tackle! And fruits don't have to be cut up really small either. Just throw everything in the blender, press one button, and about a minute later, you have a beautiful, tasty green smoothie to start your day out right. And the thing literally cleans itself! Just rinse, add a few cups of soapy water, put it back on the motor, and press Clean, and another minute later, your pitcher is clean, ready to be rinsed, and simply air dried. I've seen demos of folks touting the benefits of the Vitamix while literally having to remove the pitcher from the motor and shake everything up to get things ... MoreI have used Breville's The Q every single day for about six weeks now to blend up the most perfect green smoothies every morning. The Q doesn't have that problem. Like I said, the push of one button, and everything comes out perfectly. I'm looking forward to learning how to make fresh soups and other things as well! (I do wish it had come with a little sample recipe book. That would've been helpful.) Anyway, I researched alot of blenders for about a month before deciding on this one. I definitely made the right choice. This is the best purchase I have made in a very long time, and I recommend it to everyone!

I love my Breville Q Blender snd it gets nearly daily use. Very important for me was easy cleanup and this blender takes just seconds to clean up. No difficult disassembly/ reassembly required. After purchase i decided to buy the accessory cup for blending that comes with the Super Q blender. Unfortunately it it is not available in the US for the Breville Q model. Other than that, very happy with puchase.

Fantastic Appliance with a decent warranty. We make smoothies everyday and this blender is perfect for that purpose. We purchased this appliance because of the 7 year warranty period. I have previously owned other breville blenders and found them to be excellent. I love the count down feature. They are also easy to use because you can just press the smoothie button and get perfect results everytime.

We had one of these models for a couple of years, but unfortunately, our house was destroyed in a house fire, and all my "toys" were lost, along with my Breville Q Blender. After moving into another house one of the first things we bought was this Breville Q blender.Yes, it's pretty good size, but from the first Oster blender my parents had back in the early 60's, I've lost count of how many types and brands of blenders we've had since that first one. This big boy does everything I've wanted it to do, from malts to chopping brisket for chopped beef sandwiches..Cracker crumbs? Done in 30 seconds. Easy blender mayo anytime I want it.Easy to clean? A squirt of dish soap and water in the jug, tap the self-clean button and a minute later you're rinsing it and drying ... MoreWe had one of these models for a couple of years, but unfortunately, our house was destroyed in a house fire, and all my "toys" were lost, along with my Breville Q Blender. Purchased this at a departmental store over a year ago. Easy to use and functions well and makes the best smoothies, smooth purees (pumpkin, potato, cauliflower etc), crushed nuts and legumes into fine powder. I would have preferred a glass jug but have been impressed that the plastic jug is durable, does not retain smell from vege purees and is easy to clean. The 4-stars rating is due to the drawbacks - ring-pull lid and motor issue. The ring-pull lid is not the easiest to pull off at bench top height. It is easier to just grip the lid to pry off the jug. After many months of great performance, the motor started to smell which made it a safety issue to use. Took it back to the shop for repair as it was under warranty. My initial experiences in using this new blender are mainly positive. It's a replacement for a similar Breville blender. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this new one will not develop a leaking from the bottom problem that occurred with the first one. A couple things I've noticed right off the bat--this one is quieter (yay!) and the lid fits tighter (The fit was secure with the first blender, but not this tight.) Using the setting for green smoothies is what I use most often. With this new blender, the ice cubes (only 2-3) are not completely blended when the green smoothie setting is finished running. I discovered this on its first use, so I started running it a little longer to make sure the ice was blended. Also the greens did not blend as well. I discovered this on its first use, so I started running it a little longer to make sure the ice was blended. Also the greens did not blend as well. They are chopped fine, but very visible, and it's a smoothie that is not real smooth. Again, seems to need more time. I'm still learning how to adjust to correct for such issues. I have not used it very much at this point. I am being meticulous about cleaning as directed immediately after use.
Ended up opting for this blender instead of the vitamix when it was first released just over a year ago. It’s been replaced twice now as it’s completely died. The appliance doesn’t get much use maybe makes smoothies twice a week if that..Easy process for replacement it goes to a local repair centre which is a 30 minute drive from me and takes roughly 3-4 weeks for replacement. However I just find it’s way toooo noisy and rickety like incredibly loud for what it is. The soup function never works it always stops working if I try to blend pumpkin soup in this machine.Doesn’t do a great job and breaking down nuts as displayed as one of its great features. I find the cleaning function blends my smoothies better than normal smoothie settings in the smoothie cup.I ... MoreEnded up opting for this blender instead of the vitamix when it was first released just over a year ago. I really thought to try something else this time around when upgrading and the additional features sounded really great on this machine but yeah just not sold biggest negative is how loud this machine is.
I bought this because I wanted really high quality applience that would last and last that could crush ice, make smoothies and blend cocktails for a decent nuber of people. The 2 litre capacity is perfectly generous and the components from the solid stable base and heavy duty motor to the solid blender jug are clearly worthy of the 7 year warantee. The different button functions are all useful - from pulsing to create the perfect "slushie-worthy" ice to the mix, smoothie and soup settings. If you are trying to prioritise sustaiability and overall lifetime value then I reckon this is the blender for you. Too often manufacturers succumb to a price-driven race to the bottom, and create products that seem to almost be designed to last only 12 months. I am beyond impressed with The Q! My co-worker has been bringing smoothies to work for a month now and I have been wanting to make my own however I didn't have a high quality blender capable of crushing the spinach and frozen fruit needed to make a healthy drink. I am pleased to say my smoothies are amazing! The Q has an easy to remove circle in the lid where you can insert the tamper to push down and leafy greens or fruit you need to get closer to the blades. It fits perfectly in the lid and will not hit the blades making you comfortable using it frequently if needed. There are 4 one touch buttons so you know you're making your smoothies correctly with the right power and frequency needed for the perfect blend. The buttons are Smoothie, Green Smoothie, Soup (hot or cold) and Auto Pulse (ice crush). The five other settings on this blender are Mix, Chop, Blend, Puree and Mill. One of my favorite buttons or what I like to call the Bonus Button is CLEAN! You put a little water and soap inside the blender, I filled it with water under the half way mark and you click clean and you get 60 seconds of different pulses leaving your blender clean! Such a great feature and I love no longer attempting to clean the blades well with a sponge. Once the 60 seconds on the clean button feature are done simply rinse with water and let it dry! This Q is very quiet for the 1800 watt motor. I can make smoothies before work downstairs and not worry about my kids waking up. The lid has a ring for you to place your finger inside making it easy to pull off. It clips in and secures so you're not worried the lid will fly off and you will have a mess to clean.I absolutely love this blender and can't wait to make healthier food options for my family! I have so many recipes I can't wait to try.
As a tool this machine is a efficient, strong and versatile. Being a "Breville" fan, all products reflects quality and professionalism in the fabrication. From crushing nuts to blending a soup, the area is huge. I have only 2 quips: the cover and no recipe book. I get it: to blend a big bunch and a hot soup one must not have a brique over the cap so they made one that clicks. I am 74, and 5'2. I just can't open it. We put it on a bench, and my husband tugged at it and it opened up. May I suggest a clip on the vase (reverse the process) You have the best engineers, you can do it. And maybe sell just the new model so I can change it. (the Cap). I love my "Q" (always thing of Star Trek) and I will use profusely...it will just take more time to open it.
