Best Rice Cooker ever!
This rice cooker is amazing. Just like the reviews it doesn’t boil over and results in the fluffiest rice ever. I used to live in Japan where they have the coolest rice cookers but I have never been able to find the same design here in Australia…. Until now! Great design that fits on your bench with ease and even has a carry handle. Keeps the rice warm and fluffy without forming a bottom crust. No mess or fuss… just amazing!... Show more

best value for money and return of investment
do yourself a favour and invest a bit more for this superior cooker over supermarket brands and cheaper cookers. I have tried 10$ and 50$ rice cookers before and this is far superior. there is no water spillage, it feels robust and quality made. The best part is the non-stick coating is still intact after 1 year, and i do make rice almost every day. absolutely love it... Show more

Easy peasy rice cooking
Really easy to use but we decided to add more water than the instructions direct, as we like our rice to be not so dry. Easy to clean (handwash rice cooking basin and other things can go in the dishwasher). Have cooked chicken rice inside and it also turned out well. Nice not to have to set a timer to check for doneness - everything happens automatically after you turn it on! Haven't tried the 'set ahead' function yet, but might try it with porridge.... Show more

Easy rice cooker
We have have this rice cooker for about a month. We are very happy with it, it is easy to use and easy to clean. So far we have only done white (basmati) rice in it, mostly plain but a couple of times we have added to the water a cup of hot chicken stock with saffron threads and a bit of butter, makes tasty "yellow rice" as my kids call it. I have found the water quantities noted in the book are not enough water, the rice is too dry. e.g. for 4 cups of rice you need at least 5 cups of water, or even more, to make nice fluffy moist rice. I knew this from reading other reviews. The first time we used it we followed the directions but now I know the reviews were right, more water is needed. Once you have that worked out, it is a great cooker. It puts out a lot of steam ... MoreWe have have this rice cooker for about a month. Once you have that worked out, it is a great cooker. It puts out a lot of steam so make sure it is not sitting under a cupboard when in use. The inner pot looks to be very sturdy and the measurement markings in the pot are nice and clear. We just hand wash the pot, wipe out the lid of cooker and leave it on the bench open overnight to let any moisture disappear. Then back in the cupboard with the very handy handle!... Show more

Great Rice cooker
We’ve been looking for a good rice cooker that worked for a while now, we’ve tried quite a few that didn’t work or broke quite quickly. We decided to give Breville a go as other Breville products we’d bought had worked well and were very reliable. Also the product reviews for the rice cooker were good, so we gave it a go, and are very pleased we did. It’s a high quality product and easy to use. The only small pain is rinsing the rice to get the best results (nice fluffy rice) but even that’s not a big deal. The other feature we really like is the auto warm feature that kicks in as soon as the rice is cooked. Makes life a lot easier, and ensures the rice is ready when you need it.... Show more

Great Rice Cooker
I am part Chinese so I am fussy about my rice. I have been cooking rice with various rice cookers all my life so I know my rice. Once I started using this cooker and after an initial learning process I am amazed how easy it is to use and how great the rice comes out. Even my mother comments on how good my rice is and that’s something. The quality of the cooker is also so high and well made, not cheap quality at all. Should last for a long time. I especially love the reheat function which makes my old rice look like it was just freshly made. Really recommend it highly.... Show more

Not just bowls of rice 🍚
Easy to use and a must have to cook rice and more. We required a rice cooker so I checked various sites for reviews on the best rice cookers. This model rated highly across the 5 or so websites. So easy to use, two cups of rice minimum. Select Cook or Fast Cook. Keep warm function and timer to hold off on when to start cooking. Lots of different cooking options. Everything is easy to clean. My only gripe is the rice can be a little dry. With a little practice I’m pretty sure I can work that minor and infrequent issue out or maybe use different brand/type of rice. Ordered online and delivered promptly - great stuff Myer.... Show more

Our fourth (and last) rice cooker!
It's a nice unit - looks good, solid build, detachable power cord, heavy duty non-stick bowl (unlike previous el-cheapo units which have a thin lightweight bowl) - but most importantly, it does a great job. We've only used it for rice so far, and the end result is indeed, nice fluffy rice. I always read instruction manuals, but it took me a while to figure out what the little plastic moulding in with the spoons was for. Finally discovered a matching tab on the side of the cooker!... Perfect rice
Pretty happy with this rice cooker. had a different one like 10 years ago, but I don't ever remember being really happy with it. This one is great! I cook white rice in 450g batches (uncooked weight). I add 560ml water and it cooks for 30-35 mins, after which an orange light turns on telling me its stopped cooking and just keeping the rice warm. I then mix it and let it absorb the rest of the moisture for 15 minutes (as per instructions). Rice turns out perfect every time! Can stem and cook other stuff too but I do'nt use it for that. It can also cook more rice per batch but i cook a little more so need to cook it in 2 batches. Highly recommend this rice cooker!... Show more

Very happy with the cooker
Good rice cooker. As a Chinese mum/cook, I cook rice and Chinese dishes 9 out of 10 nights and so far I honestly cannot fault this cooker. Even my Aussie hubby can use it like a pro. I also use it to cook various Chinese dishes, most popular one being salt bake chicken. It beeps once when rice is cooked, though I would like the beeping sound to be little louder but it’s totally ok. The cooking bowl feels very solid and of good quality so I expect the nonstick coating will last long time. If I have to pick one thing for improvement, it would be that it does not have a catcher to catch the water from condensation so when I open the lid, water drips down around the top. But it is really not a big issue.... Show more
