I followed the directions to the letter and my rice came out absolutely perfect. I was really worried at the point where I had to fluff it and then leave it for several more minutes as it looked as though it would be too dry and stick badly and I almost put more water in, but I decided to stay with the instructions. When the timer beeped the rice was fluffy and not dry at all. It's the first time I've achieved perfect rice in my life! And zero sticking so it only needed to be wiped clean afterwards.

Best rice cooker thus far.

This is the best rice cooker I have ever used. The rice turns out perfectly. Not sticky, not dry, just perfect. Even when I added more water than recommended, to test, the rice was perfect.The delayed function also works great. I thought adding water to the rice hours prior to cooking might ruin the rice, but it was perfect. I am yet to try brown rice, but I am confident it will be great.It is big, so can cook rice for a big party without problems.

I'm so impressed with my new rice cooker. I've steamed Chinese soup dumplings and made 2 white rice recipes including white rice. The rice was cooked to perfection. It was light fluffy and so delicious. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a new rice cooker. A great buy!

Breville Rice Cooker

I love this rice cooker! This replaced my kenwood rice cooker that was 15 years old. I cooked honey soy chicken vegetable rice. Chicken & rice, water & chicken stock cooked for fast cooked for 45 minutes then added veggies cooked for another 10 minutes. This machine is a one pot wonder delight fantastic for time poor people! This machine is very space age in appearance compared to my previous cooker, it preforms wonderfully, I look forward to trying new dishes in the future. Clean up was all so easy not one grain of rice was stuck to bottom wash up with warm soapy water & soft dish cloth. This fuzzy logic rice cooker takes rice cookers to another level AMAZING!

Cooks rice beautifully

Pros: I mainly cook Jasmine rice and this rice cooker cooks it beautifully. For people in small households like mine the minimum quantity of rice you can cook at one time is 2 “rice cups” (which equals approx 300g of uncooked rice). When I was doing my research I found a recipe for Mushroom Risotto for another Breville rice cooker and I have cooked it in this rice cooker (without any modifications to the recipe) and it was delicious.Cons: It would be good if the instruction booklet that comes with the rice cooker included more recipes. There is no clay pot function on this rice cooker.

Was looking for a new rice cooker as my old one is starting to wear out. This model gets excellent reviews and had some addition programs that interested me. However the cooking performance leaves a lot to be desired. I cook brown rice several times a week and also like to cook porridge on the weekend. Following the instructions results in burnt and under cooked brown rice, even experimenting with water content and preparation only improves the result marginally. The cooking time is excessive too! I would recommend a more simple rice cooker which allows more flexibility. The porridge is also hit and miss too, mostly soggy and under cooked. I will be going back to a more basic rice cooker and sticking to a pan on the stove for porridge. Excellent buy

I needed to replace my very old rice cooker, after lots of research this came out on top with functions, what you can use it for. I loved the options to select what rice I’m using for it to cook perfect.I love the larger capacity dish, perfect if you’re cooking for a big bunch.But it cooked everything perfect and having the carry handle made it even better for transporting.Love this upgrade to my old rice cooker

Fantastic value rice and everything else cooker

Wonderful rice cooker, perfectly cooked rice every time. Bowl is strong and durable, no thin coating that will peel off quickly. I like the steamer and porridge function too, love having perfectly moist steel cut oats in the morning.Something to note for those with small kitchens though - it takes up a lot of bench space - more than your typical rice cooker.

Flexible cooking for rices and quinoa and soups.

Cooks rices perfectly each time - on quick cook or tailored setting. Fluffy brown and white rice, makes a sticky rice, and can always soak and wipe off with a cloth - very easily to maintain surface (non abrasive cloth). Also makes a neat soup or congee. Very happy with this versatile cooker that can be left on warm hours without drying out the rice. Very large capacity. Worth the cost if you’ll regularly use.

It's okay

We bought this because our last cooker had started to brown the rice on the bottom. This one has done it from the start! Not thrilled. The design is better in terms of how the lid seals though. No more condensation dripping out the sides, so much better in that regard. Takes up a lot of bench space. We have tried a few different cake recipes in it but they don't taste great texture wise.
