I'm desperately hoping there will be a second book to this following a different set of characters. šŸ‘€ because I just absolutely need more.I found Misery to not be miserable, but actually refreshing. This is the third Ali hazelwood book I’ve read thus far. Spoilers ahead! You’ve been warned. I will say this book is very on par for her writing style quirky and very emotionally complex female leads along with little blurbs each chapter. I will say the plot fell flat for me as compared to her other two books I’ve read love hypothesis and love theoretically this one didn’t feel like there was an end goal. Or maybe I just didn’t care about it? I notoriously do not read summaries for most books I read especially if I’ve read something from the author before. I will say I liked the different genre for Ali, it was a very refreshing take, but with a main character named misery I was weirded out even though I found her relatable. Overall a satisfying read although I was a bit perturbed with the epilogues ending.

I absolutely loved this paranormal romance by Ali Hazelwood. It was really well done.A vampire bride married to a were Alpha to form a shaky alliance between the two species is always bound to be fraught with tension, but in this case that tension soon turned into sexual chemistry.I felt that the characters were really well developed, and I'm really invested in the side characters too.I'm really hoping Ali brings out more with these characters.

I feel like this could’ve been such a great book. It had a Great storyline, characters and plot, but it was confusing & was ruined rather quickly for me and my daughter, due to all the cussing and explicit unnecessary smut detail. I love good romance with chemistry between the main characters but this book took it way too far and is not suitable for teenage readers. Also I wish the writer would have been more detailed in her writing about scenery and surroundings. Sometimes it was hard to picture the world that they were in. The whole book needed more details other than the smutty ones. Also I wish the characters would’ve been more descriptive in what they looked like and what they wore on a regular basis. but really over all sadly the over the top swearing and ...Ā MoreI feel like this could’ve been such a great book. I wasn't sure what I would think of this book going in. I'm so glad I read this!! I was pleasantly surprised with just how much I liked this book. The book was fast passed since I read it so quickly! The main characters were so fun with each other as the book progressed. Plot twist at the end was amazing! I also love that this author set it up so there can be a series if she wants to write one, hope she does!

I've not ever been a huge fan of werewolf and/or vampire/vampyre books but I really enjoyed this one. Despite my preferences, Ali Hazelwood's writing drew me right in and had me enthralled by the story. I loved the characters and the drama involved with interspecies relationships as well as the saga of relationships between their communities. This was spicier than I am used to but it didn't bother me. I am hoping, as others are, that there will be more to make this a series.

Ali Hazelwood definitely redeemed herself with this one for me, I think I was one of the only ones who could NOT for the life, get into her fan-crazed Love, Theoretically book. The only book that I’ve ever not been able to finish, because it bored me to no end. Her writing style, A …but I just couldn’t do it. This is her 1st ā€œparanormal romanceā€ book that just came out, & I REALLY actually enjoyed it! Gives off a little Twilight vibes, with the whole vamp/werewolf romance…but with more sass, rom/com, & spice! I loved Misery! (Yep, her name is Misery). She says what’s in her mind, she’s quirky, trying to find herself, & never short of sarcasm, wit & sass! I fell in love with Lowe. The whole ā€œlook at her, & dieā€ Alpha feral masculinity had me all hot & bothered. There is also so much more to the book than just the romance, there’s a mystery that needs solved. Misery’s best friend/sister disappeared & she is hell bent on doing whatever it takes to find her. Even if it means, agreeing to an arranged marriage. I think the only reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars was that I could not get over the whole ā€œlarge knotā€ experience. Iykyk.

PLEASE MAKE THIS A SERIES

I've never read any of Hazelwoods other books. So I cannot compare to her other writings...but this...THIS *chefs kiss*. As someone who likes to fluant that I basically only read fantasy/paranormal smut...I 1000% recommend reading this. I absolutely love Lowe and Misery...and I'm praying the book ended the way it did because Hazelwood is planning on continuing... Now what everyone is looking for...spice level 3/5. I'm a girlie with little needs, just make the spicy scenes SPICY, and make sure there's some mystery and twists...it needs to be a good story ALONG with hot scenes. And this was it.

Spicy Funny Paranormal Romance

Fantastic first paranormal romance from Ali Hazelwood! Misery Lark doesn't feel like she belongs anywhere and just wants to blend in the human world. All of a sudden, she has to marry a werewolf who she's pretty sure wants to outright murder her. Her best friend has also mysteriously gone missing, and now Misery is stuck with her dumb cat until she can find her and being her home. The banter throughout this book is amazing, spicy scenes are appropriately spicy, and the plot twists were unforeseen! The author sets this up for a possible sequel, and I absolutely can't wait for the next one!
