Bright Starts Finding Nemo Mr. Ray Ocean Lights & Music Gym

My son loves this so much. We've been using this with him since he was born and he is now 4 months and still loves it. I like that it has a wide toy bar, it holds 6 toys instead of 4 like other activity gyms and he really like each of the them. It is also nice how wide this mat is, my son is practicing rolling and this mat offers a lot of space for that, whereas his two other mats are too narrow. And it's cute. We were actually kind of relieved when the speaker started to go, because the sound options are awful.. the first option plays two 20 second melodies over and over that have been wrecking my brain, the second option just plays bubbles and a random buoy sound that he has absolutely no interest in. This is also a nightmare to put together. I dread every time that I have to wash the mat because it's so difficult to get it off and then reattach it later. It's also tough to store.. it's an awkward shape and you can't really fold it. It has very poor stability so even just moving it from one spot to another is a pain because you have to mess around with the string ray to get it to balance in the correct upright position again.This was the first item I put on my baby registry because it matched the ocean theme of the nursery and I thought it was very cute. I don't regret it because my son really does love it, but there are a lot of flaws in the product that need to be re-worked. If the manufacturer redesigned this item (add more, better quality sound and light options, make it easier to wash and store) I would absolutely re-purchase! I genuinely hope they decide to do this!

Amazing!

We have this for our baby girl and it has been a great buy! Sensory delight! The light feature is one of the best features and you can use this without putting sound on. There is a sea sounds noise as well as different tunes. The dory finger puppet is a favourite and there is also a little mirror which is good. The tummy time pillow comes in handy too! Definitely worth the money and is used daily in our house.

Brilliant, we would highly recommend

Brought this for my little girl when she was a week old, she is 12 weeks now and loves it more and more each week. Has an array of features which are brillaint and we use for different things. Has the normal dangly items which all make different noises - 2 shakers/ rattles with different sounds, one soft to a mirror and one with 3 stars which bangs together to make a different noise. All can be removed and cleaned and put back in a different place due to loops and links, can even hang different toys on there like we have for a bit of a change. 3 different lights settings a lively one with music and flashing lights. Ones with bubbles and dongs and different light settling and then a more whiter one with softer lights with gently come and then fade away. Great gift idea!

My little boy loves this playmat. His favourite toy is pearl the octopus. Lovely lights and music. I like the fact you can chose the different sounds as some are a little more calming and relaxing making it better for some quiet play before bed. Just wish that the sting ray was higher up so that now my little boy is sitting could sit under it and play with the toys.

Great when it worked, doesn’t work very long

Our daughter absolutely loved the lights and the jingles it played the first 3 months of her existence. Literally Christmas Eve this year at the 3 month and 1 week mark, the speaker stopped working. Changed batteries, still nothing. Unit was not put in the washer or ever wet besides a damp cloth to wipe up some spit up and what not from time to time. The stingray top started to collapse some around month 2. Definitely a good mat to grab their attention but plan on replacing it with new every 3 months. Just put in your registry you’d like to have 4 of them so you can get 1 year out of it at least lol

Looks cute, not practical or safe

Buy the Infantino one that folds down with a click instead. It falls apart easily just based on the design and when baby is old enough to grab the toys, they pull them down and the whole stingray top can collapse onto the baby and get tangled. 2 stars because my kids both loved the lights and songs, but still we rarely use this one and instead used the Infantino one that can fold down with one click, and could travel with us in suitcases. Way better.

Love this baby gym

We love this little baby play gym, and so does our little one. She is a 24 week premie who came home after 4 months in the NICU. The tummy time support is perfect. Her physical therapist is super impressed the set comes with one. We do at home therapy with her and the mat presents a lot of ways we can make it fun for her. Every time I show one of her doctors this mat and the different things she does on it, they're always impressed. The lights and music are great. And we love the variety of the dangling toys. And we especially love all of the fun colors. We've been using this for 3 months now and haven't run into any issues.

Music stopped playing after 2 months

My child loved this toy until the music suddenly stopped playing. The lights still flash and even after changing the batteries the music will still not play. From reading the other reviews here this seems to be a common problem with this toy. But I'm sure Kids2 will keep selling a broken product to those unfortunate enough to buy this toy. That is why I'm writing this review. Buyer Beware!!!

Nemo heaven for your baby

Colourful & easy to assemble play mat for your little one. Great music that won’t drive you insane and lovely therapeutic bubble music if you fancy a change. Love the canopy and lighting and so does my grandson. Very sensory. Perfect to shade the little one from the sun in the garden . My grandson loves this nemo playmat and loves the little pillow too. All the toys hanging up are bright and cheery and well made. He Prefers it to his regular larger play music mat. All in all well worth the money and great theme & colours. Infact he so loved playing on it and listening to the music he fell asleep in his little Nemo world ❤️

So Adorable & Fun

My son outgrew this activity gym months ago so right now it is in storage as I plan to use it in the future. He had two activity gyms, which was nice because he could play with one in the morning and one in the evening. The other activity mat, with jungle animals and musical tucán on top was probably his favorite out of the two but he did love this mat at well. He was obsessed with the pink squid character, the mirror, and the lights. The ray had multiple options for volume control, lights and sounds, lights only, or sound only. He fell asleep in this once when he was a young baby. The sounds of the ocean it makes are quite soothing. It’s a little pricey but all activity mats seem to be expensive unfortunately and I would recommend this mat to anyone, girl or boy!
