The little red knob turns the bit in the middle. So, yay! Turning trains! The only things I noticed that I hadn't thought of when I bought it are (a) you can't turn the carriages, or indeed some of the larger trains, and (b) it's actually kind of challenging to use all the entrances and exits without making a real mess. Consider getting some buffers so you can create sidings. But yeah... it is exactly what it looks like in the picture. Works fine with my other brio stuff, obviously. My three year old loves it.
This is a great addition to the brio train track. It extends and provides possibilities for bigger and more complex track layouts, making the train set appealing to children as they get older. I would definitely recommend this item.
A stocking filler for my grandson , who is 3 and loves Brio trains. He has quickly integrated it into his track collection and has found it simple to use
Excellent addition for kids play tracks. Gives increased hours of playing fun.
My grandson was delighted and it has withstood several weeks of play since without showing any signs of distress so must be up to scratch
