I received this hair mask as part of a holiday gratis package, but have been using this mask in my hair care routine since it first launched at Sephora a decade ago. Firstly, I think the product is reasonably priced. However, I have tried better masks - I guess it depends on your hair needs. If your hair is in nice condition to begin with and you are looking for and /or you are growing your hair - then I imagine this would be a great choice. However, my hair is naturally very dry and it wasn’t enough for me. Yes, my hair looked and felt a bit better after using the mask, but I have tried better (but more expensive masks before).This is a conditioning mask. If you have damaged hair from chemical services I would personally look for a protein treatment and if you have naturally dry hair like myself I would look for a moisturising mask: glycerin as an active works well for me (yes, I’m still talking about hair treatments).This is ... I was so excited to try this out after hearing nonstop amazing things about this! As someone who values clean beauty it’s one of the most important aspect for products I use on my skin/ hair. I love the ease of use of the packaging for a hair mask. It smells just AMAZING! On most hair wash days I use a deep conditioner instead of conditioner so that’s just what I did with this. It was super easy to disperse around my hair and coated all my strands wonderfully. After the shower brushing out i immediately noticed how soft and smooth it felt. Once it was dry the results were incredible. Soft, smooth, glossy hair with no knots. Def will keep using this for the healthiest hair!
I tried this product as I do with any new hair item, by incorporating it with my usual routine to isolate any variables. I found that this product left my hair very soft without being too weighed down. This is a big deal since my hair is very prone to being weighed down by hydrating products but it is great that this did not cause that. The scent is very nice. You don’t notice the scent on your hair once you rinse it out, just as the mask is on. I like that the mini is in a squeeze bottle rather than a tub because I think it’s cleaner to get out the right amount of product. I’m not too fond of having to wait between shampooing and continuing on with my routine but I think that’s just a feature of these types of hair masks not a flaw of this product. I think the mini ... It's free of so many nasty things like paraban etc. It has naturally derived ingredients and has very very little scent. what scent I can make out is a very mild natural, coconut scent. I received the 2 Oz travel size its is a plastic squeeze tube with a screw off top. My hair since menopause has gotten very coarse , dry and frizzy. My hair type is 2 b. Previous hair treatments have either not worked, been way too perfumey, left my scalp itchy, or left my hair oily after just 1 day. This was not the issue with this conditioner AT ALL. I have long, wavy, fine hair that easily gets split ends, and has always required some painful (though careful) tugging to get the knots out after washing, even when using my HG leave-in conditioner. Today I tried this mask instead. It has a faint scent, but nothing that bothered my sensitivity to fragrance, and a creamy consistency. It applied easily and washed out well with a bit of extra rinsing, without leaving a film behind (one of my pet peeves!). But the thing that made me give it five stars without question was the fact that I could brush my hair with ZERO tugging to get knots out.
