Brita 42201 On Tap Faucet Water Filter System, White

This is my thrid britta faucet mount in 3 years, none of them seem to last much longer than a year or so. This last one lasted a week before is started leaking a double stream, when you change to filter water it continues to run out of the unfiltered side too, so then you have water running down your hand when you are trying to get a glass of water or its mixing unfiltered with the filtered water. The only reason I bought a 3rd one is because I still had 3 filter replacements to use. When those are gone im done with Britta, itll be Pur filter next time. A big waste of 40 bucks!!

I have been using the Brita filter faucet for the past two months, and it has made a notable difference in my water quality. While I have found the water flow to be somewhat slow, the taste is remarkable, resembling that of bottled water. BRITA needs to quality check.

The filter is working great, now that I fixed it……the screen and gasket that came with it were very cheap and misshaped. The filter kept leaking really bad, so I took my screen and gasket that came originally from my faucet and used them instead. It was really frustrating trying to figure out the issue. Now that there are no leaks, the filter is working great and my water tastes much better.

Light doesn't work and sprays everywhere.

Just bought my Brita filter system and Installed it. The filter light does not work and the unfiltered nozel of the product sprays water everywhere. The filtration works well but with the issue with with the main faucet it is almost unusable. I will be returning and getting an different brand. I would not recommend buying this filter.

Look for alternative filter.

Have been using Brita for at least 20 years. When they work they do a great job of filtering. The select lever usually stops selecting the flow you choose. The filter is design to go to red light after about 3 months regardless of how much or how little the filter is used. The filters have become very expensive to replace. This is my 3rd. filter mechanism in 2-1/2 years. The light indicator stopped working on the last 2 filters. Looking for an alternative. For future.

My true BRITA experience

This is my second unit. The first one lasted about a year. The Unit has three settings. When the filter setting is in USE, a flashing green light indicates the filter is working. The filter is good for 100 gallons of water, so you need to replace the filter, NOT the whole unit. I purchase replacement filters in packs of three because it's cheaper to buy in bulk. It seems pretty easy to install the unit; my son had it on and working in minutes. I wish the first unit had lasted longer. If this one breaks within a year, I am going to shop around for another model, because while I am okay with changing the filter every three to four months, I want more durability from the unit itself.

NO MORE BRITA FOR THIS SUCKER

No way! This comes to you because I happen to be going through my past purchases for 2022. I bought this one December 2021. It's been LONG IN THE GARBAGE SINCE. Every time I buy a Brita, the light doesn't work and it Peter's out well before the year. Yesterday I went to Bob Villa's site and cleared up the most basic questions I had about faucet filtration systems. I went BACK to Pur!! Found it on discount for less than this and has 2 YEARS warranty. This time I intend to use the warranty. I cannot believe that I have gotten original, non-defective Brita's here on Walmart marketplace. Both systems and filters. I've been through 4 of the complete systems in a YEAR, never once using my warranty. I always have such a nightmare with Walmart on everything nowadays that to ... MoreNo way! Nice Price Faucet Water Filter System

First read your reviews carefully its important , Then make your own decision alright here i go . The picture of this product was as i received . It said it was easy to install well that's nor here nor there . Maybe its me as being a female lol and i had a bit of a time installing this water faucet filter , Well after some time and yes a few choice words i finally was able to install this product , Once i had it install i followed the instructions . Now i purchase this product because I can drink water and i live in a RV which i am finding I just don't have a lot of room for cases of water . Also as a Senior woman i like some women my age do take medications and I must drink filter water . So out of fairness I don't know for sure about this Faucet Water Filter System however I can say i received a good purchase on it . Honestly I will know how it measures up to my bottled water after i change the filter out and replace it .

Went with the upgraded Brita Faucet filter Model

Had used the lesser costing model before of the Brita line, so I thought after my second one of the cheaper model - had broken in to at the swiveling point of the faucet to filter connection (first time this has happened), I'd upgrade to this model. Glad I did. As I understood at the time all Brita Faucet models take the same water filter cartridge and the one older water cartridge (a month old) from the broken cheaper Brita model worked fine in this upgrade Brita model. To me Brita Faucet filter models are about middle of the road in price and a better buy on eBay as well as their water filter cartridge (multi-pack)replacements bought here. I've used the Brita faucet filter line only and for three years now. Where as the cheaper Brita faucet filter model had a top view window that changed color in time (Green to Red) and was an indicator of the filers use of filtering the tap water, this model has a side view window that flashes one of three colors during the tap water filtering to show you where it's at of the life span cycle left to it's filtering ability. Flashing Green light filter is working, Flashing Amber light means 2 weeks or about 20 gallons water filtering ability left to go, Flashing Red light means the filter cartridge has reached the end of it's life span cycle (100 gallons) and needs replaced now. (Lights only flash or illuminates during the water filtering cycle or filter is engaged to actually filtering your water). Why use a faucet filter at all some may ask, my city has a good water reputation anyways, but my home is about 50 years old and I'm sure the pipes have sediments that get into my water supply, as well as the warning of years past that people were dumping their old prescription drugs in their toilets to discard them. Storm run offs flushing yard fertilizers and pests control chemicals into the cities water supply - can you really be sure your not consuming them too. A Faucet water filter just makes sense and costs less than a whole house water filtering system and gives me peace of mind that I'm doing something extra for my health. Since the kitchen is where all the water is pulled for drinking and cooking - it's a good fit and usage here. Hope this help some of you decide and thanks for reading my whole review. : )
