I drink a lot, A LOT, of water, but I was buying bottled spring water. Bottle after bottle, it was adding up, along with my husband and 2 sons drinking bottled water as well. I bought a Brita Filtering Water Bottle for myself and my youngest son asked for one a few days later. So, 1/2 of my family has converted to refillable water bottles. We still buy cases of spring water, but not nearly as many cases as before. I’ve tried putting ice into the water bottle, however the sides sweat really bad. That is the only downside that I have found. To avoid this, I try to plan ahead and fill them up at night and put them in the fridge so that they will be cold and ready to go in the morning.

At first, I LOVED my Brita water bottle. My partner and I both got one and couldn't stop raving about it because it made it so easy to stay hydrated and not worry about the water we were using so much. My opinion of the bottle started to turn a few months in when the mouthpiece started to develop black spots. At first I thought it was just the charcoal from the filter, but after washing it in the dishwasher and taking a straw brush to it, it wouldn't go away. I thought "okay, no big deal, I'll just replace the top to the bottle." That was strike two. You CANNOT replace just the top to the Brita bottle. If you have to replace any piece of it, you are out of luck and have to buy a whole new bottle. This was frustrating, but I still really loved my bottle and it really was helping me to stay hydrated, so I caved and bought another. This one lasted a bit longer, but I started having issues with the mouthpiece again. They are originally a sort of milky-clear, but after a while, it started to turn a yellowish tone on the inside, regardless of how frequently I washed it. I would really love for these bottles to have replaceable mouthpieces because that really is the only issue, but this seems to be a common complaint and Brita doesn't seem to be doing anything about it.

I’m on my 3rd Brita bottle, and I can’t say that I will be spending the money to purchase another. I started with the 24oz plastic bottle but it didn’t keep the water cold so I bought the 24oz stainless steel insulated bottle and it was amazing until the handle broke off the top. Shortly after the plastic latch that keeps the lid closed cracked completely off. This left my bottle leaking anytime that it wasn’t level. I decided to buy the 32oz stainless steel bottle. I only had it for 3 months before the handle broke off, and once again the lid is broken to where it will not close. I’ve had this bottle for a total of 6 months and it’s essentially unusable. I love the taste of Brita filtered water and I just wish Brita would take into consideration the opinions of ... MoreI’m on my 3rd Brita bottle, and I can’t say that I will be spending the money to purchase another. I take my water bottle with me every where I go, it’s an extension of my body at this point. Sadly this brand is just not made to withstand the wear and tear of everyday use. Brita please fix these issues. I’m researching other companies to turn to.

I LOVE this water bottle. If you're thinking about buying it, but don't know where to start, let me help you.1. Do you hate regular water because it's so plain and boring?2. Do you work or go someplace where it's convenient a water bottles holds extra water?3. Do you hate the taste of bottled water and even tap water because it tastes like either Dawn dish soap or bleach? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, you may want to try this water bottle! And the best part is that the refills are NOT too expensive!!!The bottle itself is so fun to drink out of because theres a super sturdy silicone straw. You just press the button and you get water! put the lid down to close. You will never have to worry about your straw/water tasting like wet dog ever again! And it's so sanitary! The bottle itself holds 2 whole water bottles!!!!!!! I have drank 7 water bottles (16.9floz) full from this water bottle yesterday! I like to pair my water bottle with the brita faucet filter. I like to make sure my water is clean AND tasty! Now let's move onto the taste. Honestly I was skeptical. Reviews say the taste is going to be pitiful. HOWEVER, to my surprise, I LOVE WATER. Seriously! I cannot get enough of it. It tastes like water SHOULD taste. It tastes clear and soft. It tastes like so many things and yet theres still absolutely no flavor. I go back for more and more, and yet there's still no taste. It's the best experience in my life. There's no exaggeration here. It's THAT good. Go grab yourself one.**Please read the instructions though as it says to rinse the filter under cold STRONG water for 15-30 seconds. I believe it's carbon based and if you immediately drink from it it'll taste nasty because all of the carbon from the filter with come up. It's harmless, don't worry. Just tastes better like that. Disclaimer this water bottles DOES NOT clean water. It only makes it taste better. Don't add additives to this, you'll ruin the filter's integrity. Just use it as a plain water bottle.
I’m a bit paranoid when it comes to germs and food/drink. So I appreciate this bottle for the filter, since I freak out if the water I’m drinking isn’t 100% clear and clean. I even figured out that you CAN put powder flavoring in here without the flavor getting filtered out! All that being said: if you like your water bottles to be insulated and keep stuff cold, do not buy this. It’s not insulated at all—seconds after putting ice and water in it, I can feel the outside get cold and start forming condensation. Pretty frustrating, since I planned to take this to school where I wouldn’t be able to replace the ice or use a fridge or anything. But fine for when I’m just in my house. So, if you want insulation? No. Don’t. If you don’t mind? Great. Good for germaphobes.
Me and my husband bought one each and our experiences were completely different. He loves it. It’s his new favorite bottle and he’s had many before, including insulated ones. He likes his water cold so mainly keeps it in the fridge and/or with ice but it doesn’t bother him at all, it’s really easy to use and clean and I’m pretty sure this is the only filtered water bottle out there. Me on the other hand, I’m not sure why but every time I used it I’d pass both air and water at first, and then just water. This ended up in a lot of air bubbles in my throat and it was a really painful experience to make it go away. I will never use this again. That being said, we both would recommend it because I haven’t seen anyone experiencing what happened to me so it is most likely ... MoreMe and my husband bought one each and our experiences were completely different. I absolutely LOVE this bottle. When my beloved HydroSpark died, I purchased the teal color and have had it for over a year now. So easy to take with me or keep near me at home. I don’t feel complete if I leave the house without my bottle; it’s now an extension of my body. It saves money and the planet since I no longer purchase plastic water bottle packs. I have dropped it a few times and to my amazement, it didn’t break (I don’t recommend dropping tho…painfully loud and sad). Its easy to clean and I haven’t noticed mold in the straw like other reviews state. I don’t really have any complaints with the product itself though I wish it came in some unique designs, or other fun colors. Maybe some cute water bottle accessories??
I will never buy another water bottle again. I’m shocked more people aren’t talking about these environmentally friendly bottles. Yes the it is made of BPA free plastic but…you can reuse it anywhere. My husband and I do a lot of traveling and camping. These have been a game changer. There are often times where only water from a hose or outdoor faucet was available. Although they aren’t life straws (we also have those) we like the functionality of these when we are traveling. We have found we use these a ton during our flights and hotel stays when water is $4 a bottle. We can drink from the tap, faucet, hose, or water fountain and it will taste like spring water with these bottles. We can’t recommend these enough to our fellow travelers. I wish I had read the reviews first. They are true. It’s not user friendly. I actually drink less water when using it. It requires a lot of suction which isn’t bad but when you use it at your bedside table at night it is a pain. It needs to stay completely straight up to drink from, so tilting it is a no no and it leaks. It requires a bunch of suction to drink from, so if your nose is stuffed up, you pant for breath due to lack of oxygen because it took a whole minute to create enough suction for one sip. It also says it is insulated but my Walmart brand plastic shaker cup keeps ice longer than this bottle. My water is always warm. I’m not a fan. It will go into the back of my cupboard to collect dust. Oh… it filters water though… just not the greatest. My ice cubes ... MoreI wish I had read the reviews first. They are true. the product looks pretty, but the water that comes out of it tastes terrible! and I made sure to rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse. Even though the straw is soft and doesn't cut my lips, it's not easy to use to suck the water up from, or it's not pleasant enough to want to do. there's no instructions on what to do with the filter itself while I'm washing the unit. This also claims that most parts are dishwasher safe, but I can tell just by looking at the parts, that just because you can put them in the dishwasher doesn't mean that the dishwasher will get them clean. I only test it out the product using water, so it's not like I'm worried about that. I'm not.
