Great little device to control IR devices with your smart phone or tablet. Does not control RF devices. It will learn the code for several IR remotes. Sign up for a BroadLink account and sign in. Plug it in; add it to either of the BroadLink apps. E-control or IHC both available in Playstore or Apple store to configure the Mini Black Bean. The Mini Black Bean will work with Google Home. Make sure to link your BroadLink account to Google Home Control. You have to create a scene in the IHC app and say "Hey Google activate (name of scene.) This is just the greatest item ever for making Alexa work with your TV and components. I have 3 of these for 3 different rooms. I was able to get Alexa to turn on both the TV and Sound System at the same time with one command. Just add the TV, add another TV and change the IR codes to the Sound system, then add a group to Alexa like "MYSYSTEM" and presto .. Alexa, Turn on MYSYSTEM. these are so economical.

The product itself is very good and easily programmed to do what ever function you require. The reason it only gets 3 stars from me is the issues with integration with Google Home. I might add that all these issues are Google Home related but still makes the product frustrating. Keeping it brief if you program a home theatre to change its input eg HDMI, Aux, RGB etc the program will run perfect on the Mini 3 but GH will just say I'm working on this function.

This is just the greatest item ever for making Alexa work with your TV and components. I have 3 of these for 3 different rooms. The product works well and does what it is supposed to. Setting up for use with the app only was straightforward. Getting it to work with Google Home was messy and took some time. However, it is now working well. I can control my TV, hard disk recorder and Bose system from Google Home using voice commands.
I thought it would be much harder to set up and use, but once you download the app to your phone it is easy. Works really well. - Surprisingly very good. It even reconnected by itself easily to the wifi router after a blackout. I am impressed. Talks easily to my Mitsubishi Aircon and TV. Can tun on the TV to simulate being at home when I'm away and I can turn the aircon on before I get home so the house cools down.
Once you get it setup, it works very well. I have connected it with Alexa, and can control my TV, soundbar, and DVD by voice now. It would be nice if their app was a bit more developed, as well as the voice controls. But it does what it promises. The instructions provided for the setup are not very good. I used a more detailed description from an Amazon review that guided me through the whole thing. It required patience, and trying multiple times, but with patience I was able to connect everything as it should be. For the price - it is a good deal.

I was a-little skeptical about this device after reading negative reviews from people whom could not get everything to work with alexa/echo dot. But, It works great for me. Voice command On/Off, Channel changing, volume control, and mute all work great!!! This is a great device for a great price. I highly recommend. The device may have to be manually set up. As, mine was. But, other than that, it is wonderfull!!!
