I Have worn Brooks for years and love them. I switched to Adrenaline GTS (from Ravenna) several years ago with my last pair being GTS19. I purposely waited for the 21 as I heard there were issues with the 20. I never have to break them in and are comfortable from day one. I am not am not a runner but am active with cross training, Zumba and other fitness activities. I have balance issues and these stabilize my foot and keep me straight. With super cushioning and a wide toe box make this a great shoe for cross training. The only issue so far I have with my GTS Adrenaline21 is that there is no toe reinforcement that the GTS19 have. It’s only been several weeks and you can already see a big toe imprint where it is stretching out. I hope the fabric doesn’t wear too thin ... MoreI Have worn Brooks for years and love them. I am also having an issue with the left ankle side rail support. It digs in to my foot just below my ankle bone. I have been cushioning with cotton pads hoping it stretches out. I don’t know if this is common or if somehow a defect in this one pair. I have considered returning them for replacement. The right foot side rails do not dig in. If anyone else has had this issue and knows of a fix, I would like to know. I welcome a response from Brooks as well. Because of these issues, I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars

I love my new Adrenaline GTS 21. Every November I buy a new pair to have tread for the New England winters and because I've worn out my old Adrenalines. These are comfortable with plenty of toe space: I order 9 wides. The Guiderails seem comfortable and not noticeable as in some older models. There isn't anything inside the shoe that is bothersome. I ordered white and am trying to keep them clean! haha. And I do love the side decoration. I'd prefer a medium blue, but I don't see that color in wides unfortunately. I run at least mile a day outside in these Adrenalines plus I use them for walking as well. So I put well over 400 miles on a pair. I do replace the insole after 6 months. I wish I could buy another Brooks insole then. I find these very comfortable and ... MoreI love my new Adrenaline GTS 21. I highly recommend Adrenalines for comfort and cushioned running. I haven't run for speed lately, but I have WON RACES in them in my age group: women over 70!

This shoe was recommended in an article by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons for people with Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction. This is the perfect shoe for someone with this issue and I wish I had this shoe as an option 15 years ago. It may have prevented a total collapse of my tendon and my arch, and subsequent major reconstructive surgery on my right foot in 2012. I have struggle to find shoes to fit and work since that time.I was extrememly torn about returning this shoe. It held my foot in place almost perfetly with no noticeable turning. The problem is that I also need to add my custom orthotic to give the additional lateral support under the reconstructed arch. The support fits inside the footbed of the shoe, but when I put the shoe on the heel ... MoreThis shoe was recommended in an article by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons for people with Posterior Tibial Tendon Dysfunction. Each style has its merits and is drawbacks. This is an excellent shoe for stability and cushion. I do not like its round tubular laces, which twist and twist becoming unsightly. The sole projects slightly beyond the shoe upper providing a larger footprint than, say, the Ghost. This shoe is excellent for people going to be on their feet all day or for travelling where one only takes a very limited number of shoes. Excellent walking shoe.
I am a FAN! I have run in Adrenaline GTS for years, and loved all the new releases. I run about 10 - 15 miles per week, predominantly running about 3 miles in a session. The cushioning in this shoe is perfect, and the stability guide rail keeps me from feeling any knee pain. I did go up 1/2 size in the 21. I had worn a 9.5 in the 20 and previous, but my feet started feeling uncomfortable after running more so than during. I'm not sure if the construction of the shoe has changed, but sizing up made a considerable difference from my last pair. Overall, Brooks Adrenaline is still my favorite running shoe, and the 21 is perfect for me! I really like this color combo (White/Alloy/Light Blue), too! I prefer lighter colored shoes, and these are great!
Due to my plantar fasciitis, it's difficult for me to find shoes that I can wear comfortably and that don't cause me considerable pain. I discovered the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 19 a couple of years ago, and found them to be very supportive and comfortable. But, of course, they were discontinued. My husband was able to track down a few pair in my size, on-line that helped me get through to the end of 2020. But then there were none. Again, my husband reached out to Brooks, who recommended the GTS 21. I was very nervous, but ordered a pair. To my delight and relief, they are GREAT! They provide the support I need to be able to walk comfortably! The GTS 21's have exceeded the comfort and support of the GTS 19's! I see more GTS 21's, and possible future iterations, in my future. If you're trouble with plantar fasciitis, you may wish to try these out!
I usually run in Glycerin 18's and 19's because of their plush and flexible feel. I was was looking for something more stable that wasn't a Transcend. I loved how stable and corrective they feel when walking and with flat ground running. I wish there was more padding under the ball of the foot and general shock absorption as I definitly feel the impact through my knees in these with running, especially downhill. After running a familiar hilly course in these my feet felt bruised for almost a week and was worried I developed a stress fracture. Ive never experienced this in my Glycerins before. Nice shoe for easy, slow, flat runs. Not ideal in my opinion for someone who likes a little more plush cushioning through the entire foot bed.
My journey to find a replacement for the Adrenaline GTS 19 turned into a 2 month ordeal. Brooks revamped most of their key shoe models in the past year, so I ended up trying out 4 pairs of shoes before I found one that fit. This new Adrenaline is nothing like the previous models and was swiftly returned after 2 runs. You’ll feel like your feet are wearing inner tubs, tug boats, life rafts, balloons...you get the picture. The soft cushion throughout the entire mid-sole is a fiasco for getting up and off the ground, let alone the hills of San Francisco. One of the most sluggish runs I’ve ever had in a Brooks shoe. These shoes also run extremely big and wide, I’m normally a size 8 in Brooks and in this model, but I was swimming in the shoe the whole time and couldn’t ... MoreMy journey to find a replacement for the Adrenaline GTS 19 turned into a 2 month ordeal. I wish they hadn’t changed the model so drastically though. If you’re looking for a similar feel to the older Adrenaline models, I’ve found the new Ghost 13 is pretty darn close.
To be honest: I’m not a runner. But this is my fifth pair of Brooks. I bought my first pair on the recommendation of a very knowledgeable sales person. I’d suffered a bout of plantar facsciitis and had already spent considerable money on shoes that ultimately did not provide much relief. Running shoes were recommended over walking shoes because they were constructed with extra cushioning to absorb high impact & therefore also eased my discomfort in merely walking. I’ve been sold ever since. The Adrenalin is most like my first pair (Glycerin). In addition to cushioning my feet, the shoes hold my feet securely in place - almost feels like they’re being hugged. The shoes are fairly light weight and look good, not too flashy (though that’s an option).
Loved these shoes! They are super cushioned and very comfy for walks/runs. I use them everyday to walk 2 miles to work and 2 miles home. (I live in a city) however, at the 3 month point the backs of the sneaker, the part that rubs against my ankle/Achilles started to wear down and rip and now there is not any cushion there and it’s painful to walk bc something sharp and thin rubs against it. I really wanted to love these forever. I’m disappointed that they wore down so quickly from my daily walks. I didn’t even get to use them for running. I ended up buying a different sneaker from elsewhere as I am nervous another pair from brooks will just break down again. I had to give 3 stars because no matter how comfortable and stylish these were, they are way too expensive ... MoreLoved these shoes! They are super cushioned and very comfy for walks/runs.
