So I've been wearing the Adrenaline GTS since the 21s (which were the best of those I've tried by a very long shot). I bought a pair of the 22s last year, and they're okay. They had the larger thing on the heel, which reduced my joy in them over the 21s, but c'est la vie. So, when I needed new shoes this time around I bought some 22s as well as some 23s to see which I preferred, after reading all of the reviews (will send back the less preferable of the two). I have duck feet--narrow heel, wide up front. For me, the 23s have a much roomier heel area. For dress type shoes I typically where a 6.5 in narrower brands and sometimes a 6 with certain wider styles. In running shoes, including Adrenaline, a standard 6 works. These feel roomier (particularly on the right shoe, which may be an adjustment thing) all around, especially the heel and the mesh portion of the front. Will be keeping one pair of the 23s for day-to-day use for the color, so interested in what they wear like over the long term. But, for running, I'm going to stick with the 22s again for a bit longer.

But quality when backwards with this version.

Disappointing purchase
8 May 2023

Let me start by saying I love brooks adrenaline gts. Over the years I have own several pairs. I am a er nurse and on my feet 12 hours/day. With that being said I put a lot of expectations on the quality of my shoes. Not only did I purchase one pair I went ahead a purchased two pairs this time. Well I ordered the new color for this year and I am sadly disappointed. I have been wearing them since March -April when I received them. From day 1 horrible. At the end of my shift my back, legs and feet hurt so bad . I chalked it up to just being new and need to break them in . Well it is now May and things have not gotten any better . I am very unhappy with this purchase and I can’t return them for having worn them trying to make them work. The toe box feels tighter, I dnt feel like they have any support in the insole nor have any cushion. The balls of my feet have never ached and bothered me prior to this pair. With all that being said… the gts that I purchased last year that are still available (I just wanted a different color this time ) were great I had no problems with them and for that reason I ordered these in a different color not expecting to have any issues. I would love to speak more on this issue if someone from Brooks would reach to me. Hopefully my review will encourage other buyer to do more research prior to purchase.

GTS 21's Awesome-GTS 22/23's Room for Improvement
6 August 2023

I switched to wearing Brooks Adrenaline's after wearing another brand I loved for many years. This particular brand changed their style, and it caused my feet to get a ranging case of plantar fasciitis. Brooks Adrenaline GTS 21's saved my feet - thank you! I'm an avid walker and honestly the only disappointment of the GTS 21's is the inside heal wearing so quickly....within 2-3 months’ time. When you pay good money for sneakers, something like that should not wear so quickly. I recently purchased the GTS 22's, the shoelaces are horrible (and see the new 23's have the same laces too, Brooks didn't listen to their customers!!!!). They are flat, slippery and WAY TOO SHORT!! (I'll be buying oval, longer ones to replace the horrible flat ones.) I also feel the heal cup is not as deep, there is a definite difference, when I put my GTS 21's and 22's on. The 22's do not surround/hug my heel as nicely. I'll continue to wear the Adrenaline's (and my worn-out ones too!!!) because I think they really are one of the best sneakers I've tried since switching from my last go to brand, but certainly a lot of room for improvement!

Gorgeous, comfortable shoe

This is my fourth pair of Brooks and my favorite one so far. I just ran my first 10k in this pair today - they passed the test! They fit like a glove and feel comfy and I do not think about my feet while I’m running (in a good way!). They are also gorgeous, with great construction (something I’ve been disappointed with in competitor brands). I got the Kentucky blue flood and am thinking about getting a second casual pair because they are so pretty. I’m not a sneaker-wearer for day wear so that’s saying a lot.Previously I’ve added arch support insoles based on the recommendation of my local run shop, but after a few runs with their own insoles and the new add-in soles I ordered, I have liked the Brooks insoles better. In the past I have had some ankle slippage ... MoreThis is my fourth pair of Brooks and my favorite one so far. I didn’t actually notice ankle slippage in this model, but I kept the lacing since I can tighten the midsole and ankle laces independently. However, the laces are short. It’s actually kinda nice and makes for a bit of a sleeker shoe, but if my foot were any wider I might not be able to tie and double knot them, especially with the special lace.

Love Brooks shoes!
30 April 2023

I wear Brooks shoes for walking (running is too stressful for my older feet, knees, and back). I've tried shoes designed for walking, but they are too stiff & boxy. I like the flexibility and support of a running shoe. I've even had doctors recommend Brooks running shoes for my arthritic feet.I walk about 4 to 5 miles each day on neighborhood sidewalks and streets. The Adrenaline shoe is very supportive. Because my feet have been supporting me for more than 72 years, I think they deserve the best and most comfortable shoe. I like the cushioning, the arch support and the general stability that the shoe provides. I've been wearing Brooks shoes for about 20 years.I love the color (the black one with the reddish-orange sole). I bought two pairs of this color because I love it so much! I usually choose Brooks shoes in basic black with white soles and a bright flash of red or magenta if possible. When a favorite color combo appears, I try to buy more than one pair.I wear a women's size 10 M in Brooks shoes, but I wear size 9 in nearly all other shoe brands. I've always worn size 10 M in Brooks. This size shoe fits my different sized feet: one foot is about 1/4" longer than the other. A larger shoe would be too big for my smaller foot, so I have to choose a size in the middle to make both feet happy. My longest foot measures exactly ten inches from heel to longest toe.The only thing I would change in the Adrenaline GTS 22 is the tongue -- I wish it were just a bit longer. Another issue I've had with recent Brooks shoes is the fabric lining the inside of the shoe, which has worn out too quickly (pills appear & holes wear through the inner fabric), especially in the interior heel area of the shoe. Also, I really wish the soles on Brooks shoes lasted just a bit longer. I have had the front of the sole, where it wraps around the shoe in front of the toes, wear through on one side before the sole under my foot is worn out. This wear pattern in the front of the shoe must be related to my stride, and the way my foot hits the pavement.I save my worn out Brooks shoes for yard work. It is difficult to part with worn out Brooks shoes!

Not like past models… not in a good way

I’ve run in Brooks Adrenaline for nearly 20 years, and they have always been in my rotation even while adding in other brands. These have consistently been the shoe I can count on for long miles, consistent mileage without injury, etc. However, this version sucks. I was warned before the first guide rail version that I might not like them anymore, but even those were fine. This version is too firm and inflexible, with an odd fit. I’ve been an 8.5B forever, and have typically tied my laces in a heel lock. I had to forego the heel lock in these because they’re tight across the top & I can’t let the laces out further. I stopped to mess with them 2-3x on my first run with them, which was a typical 4 mile paved loop I typically run for easy miles. On a separate easy run day in these, I stopped to walk after the ball of my foot started hurting badly about halfway in. I was hesitant to attribute the pain to these shoes because they’ve so consistently worked for me, but after about a month, I’m unfortunately pretty sure it’s these shoes causing the issue. The foam just feels hard as a rock! The fit around my foot also feels different than usual, like it’s both too tight across the top and way too loose on the sides and heel? Disappointing to say the least. I ordered a pair of Hokas to take the place of these and am hoping version 24 will be a return to the usual “go to shoe” for me.

Still trying it out. I bought another pair of this same style (from a different store) and have to call customer service because there’s a piece of sharp plastic sticking out of the back of the ankle part and cutting into my ankle when I run! I am hoping that does not happen with this pair. I have been wearing this brand and style of running shoe for about four years now so I’m hoping this pair does not have the same problem. Normally this brand and style is very comfortable and reliable especially for people with foot problems. Just to give some context I have bad plantar fasciitis and need to wear custom orthotics at all times, so it can be challenging to find a running shoe with enough support. To help out other customers and Brooks fans just thought I’d say that they’re more recent shoes don’t seem to last as long as they’re older styles from years ago. My first pair of brooks lasted probably a little over one year running 15 to 30 miles per week— or maybe I just could not tell back then that they were too worn out since I was newer to running. The more recent pairs of brooks I have start feeling different after about 300 miles worth of running which is usually the suggested amount of miles before you replace your sneakers. If you have shin splints these shoes might help you, but obviously see your doctor first to discuss that stuff

Used to be great but not so much anymore
24 March 2023

I’ve worn Brooks Adrenaline for probably about 15 years. I’ve loved them until the 21 and 22 models and the 22 seems worse than 21. I bought the 22s and within 3 times of wearing them they had rub/fray marks on the inner ankle area. I contacted Brooks and they sent me a replacement. Cool! Their customer service is pretty good. But when I started using the new replacement shoes the same thing happened and the inside back ankle also started wearing a hole in it way too fast. I should have asked for another reply or my money back at this point but I just needed shoes and didn’t want to deal with waiting.I also think both the 21 and 22 models wore out too fast and started hurting my feet way before they should have. Reading the reviews I see many others feel the same way, so I know I’m not the only who can tell the quality difference.I was totally loyal to the Adrenaline model for years but I think I’m going to have to find another brand. I’m not sure I trust Brooks with my hard earned money or to keep my feet feeling good with their brand anymore. Sad.
