Support around the ankles is fantastic thanks to the higher than average upper portion on the back of the shoe. This provides great control whether running indoors, outdoors, or using them for cross-training on non-running days. Though they are stiffer than other shoes I have tried, they are still extremely comfortable thanks to the generous padding in the heel, and I have had no problems with blisters even after extended runs. The underfoot feeling is also fantastic and will ensure that these remain in my regular rotation. My previous go-to pair featured a foam elastic sole to help with energy return that I purchased after experiencing knee strain. Due to this padding, it was difficult to tell what was happening under my feet. While this is okay for some situations, is not always what you want during a run. These Brooks shoes strike a good balance between padding and feedback and have become my regular runners. They have no visible wear and the green-blue-gray-white color combo also looks really cool!Overall, I'm super happy with these shoes and will definitely consider getting another pair from Brooks once these wear out!... Now I do all of those in this one shoe. They are light and twitchy enough to take on a run, provide enough support to stand or walk for hours at a time, and sleek enough to accommodate a business casual look. I love the white/grey (Brooks calls it Oyster/Ebony/Alloy) colorway because it’s super versatile; I never have to worry if it’s going to clash with whatever else I’m wearing. The mesh exterior is breathable (enough so to withstand the Texas summer sun) and so far have found it to hold up well against light scratching and can be easily cleaned with a damp rag. My only quibble - and this is minor - on the overall aesthetic is that the material the logo is printed on on the sides of the shoes looks and feels a little cheap. It stands out to me because every other aspect of the shoe is high quality. I just can’t shake the thought that at some point it’s going to peel off. That’s not enough though to keep me from absolutely loving this shoe. I think these will last me a long time, but whenever it’s time to replace them, I’m buying another pair. I wear a size 10 and they fit exactly as expected.... Show more

Seldom get two shoes that just sit flat. The wobble won't go away over time and causes me pain in one knee or one hip or one ankle, when another pair of the same shoe without the wobble does not cause any such pain.Color issues: Was able to order colors not yet released (see screenshot; try editing an item from your cart to see what colors are actually available vs. what is listed on the main page for the shoe), and was THRILLED until they arrived. 017 - Oyster/Black/Red Orange is white, not grey-ish as depicted. The entire shoe is lighter in color than the light grey depicted as the highlight in the photo. 373 - Green Gecko/Grey/Atomic Blue is actually all the color of the light green highlight and looks bright fluorescent green in person--the entire shoe, that is. Kinda looks like Kermit green in the photo, but is not at all like that. Neither shoe looks anything like the photos, in terms of color. Not talking slight variation here, but almost borderline catfishing, in terms of looking nothing like the photo at all. I was so disappointed and sent back the same day. Should've taken photos, but to be honest, I was actually furious and couldn't believe how off the colors were.I will buy this shoe again and still recommend it, but check for the wobble and be prepared for the color shock.... A great shoe for stability and comfort. I work out at least 2x per week at Orange Theory and use these only for that activity. I power walk on the treadmill since running is not great for my knees, and need a new pair of these approximately once a year. I am a big woman and wear a big shoe size, so I order the men's version of this style. I appreciate the room in the toe box that gives my toes space, but has the flexibility I need. These are great because my feet feel secure in them and there is no break-in period. They are stable and have enough support for my fallen arches without causing any discomfort post-workout. This time I ordered the 135 White/Grey/Black color choice and, so far, that has camouflaged any of the marks and the shoes look brand new after a couple of weeks. The color combo is youthful and a little edgy; makes me happy when I look down and see my feet now. I hope Brooks will keep making these.... Show more

Good and not so good

First off as a longtime 2E wide Adrenaline customer I would like to thank Brooks for offering some real color versus the normal grey or black options. Please keep that up in the future. Now for the not so good...while my shoes have some real pop in color they feel like a dud. Whenever I get a new pair of Adrenaline's I use them exclusively for running so as to maximize mileage, normally getting 450-480 miles out of them before I start noticing sore calves or treadwear that tell me it is time to retire them. The tread on my 23s are fine, but my calves aren't loving them at all. I pay close attention to my running stats like cadence, stride length, vertical oscillation, etc. and nothing has changed other than my shoes. If for some reason my experience is the same I will buy another pair of two of the 22s, which were awesome.... Show more

Great Shoes those Brooks

Only 4 stars because, it never matters who the manufacturer is, if you have a foot other than Neutral, your only options are the UGLIEST shoes available. Even if ordered On-line! Sometimes the least ugliest shoes are available, but still UGLY and we still have to pay 140.00 just like everyone else for shoes you would not want to be caught dead in. However in all practicality you must have good shoes to avoid foot injuries. Instead we fat footed people who have stability issues get UGLY shoes. We want the cool colors too just like everyone else. All Those "Nuties" It is no fair. We should get 10 percent off per UGLY shoe, or 20 percent per pair! Fat ... MoreI am a long time runner. Light weight, snug feel, arch is to far back in shoe.

Purchased these shoes for two reasons. Running and a trip over seas that was going to require me to walk over 100 miles. Had several Brooks in our family in the past and have been great shoes. After wearing these for about 20 miles, my feet were hurting and I just couldn't get the arch to settle in on my feet correctly. I cam to realize that the are lift on the shoe is to far back and was sitting more on my heal than the center of my foot. After messing with them for several days, I finally was able to use some tissue paper to pad the arch enough to get me through Europe and not have my feet hurt. Terrific walking shoes
31 May 2024
I picked up the Brooks Men's Adrenaline GTS 23's as part of a shoe haul, along with a pair of ASICs running shoes and New Balance trainers. I was looking for one pair to be gym shoes, one for walking/running, and one as an everyday casual sneaker. The Brooks took the spot for my walking/running shoes, no big surprise as they were replacing a previous (well worn) pair of Brooks. This pair is an improvement over my previous Brooks, with stronger structure and a wider tread base that feels a bit more stable. The one con with these and every pair of Brooks I've owned is that, for some reason, I'm far more prone to roll my ankles in them when walking on uneven surfaces. It's happened painfully enough to be an issue. They changed the construction...for the worse!!!

I've had a few older pairs of the Adrenalines and they've always been perfect. But for whatever reason, Brooks decided to mess with the construction on the Adrenaline 23, and now they cause burning pain and numbness in my toes, especially my big toes. I've seen a handful of other reviews with the same complaint, so I know I'm not the only one with this issue.I've never understood why shoe companies will take a shoe design that's been prefect for years and just screw it up for no good reason.
