Owned the Divide 1 and Divide 2 before purchasing Divide 3. I find Divide 3 to be slightly more comfortable. It also breathes better and dries quicker with the new upper material. Appearance and colors are better than D2, not as good as D1. The bright blue outsole is nearly neon. Not a fan of the goals list on the heel side ( couldnt we just leave all writing off shoes). Note: I am a 200lb walker - 3-5 miles daily.

So excited by this shoe, I'm writing this after just one run. Purchased it for running on some of my favorite routes which involve a mix of asphalt and urban/non-technical dirt and it exceeds expectations.Right out of the box, I took it for a 30K training run. This shoe wouldn't be my first choice for a road shoe or a technical trail shoe, nor (though the jury's still out) probably for really long runs, but the Divide has low enough lugs and is light enough to be comfortable on the roads, enough traction to feel confident and stable on trails, and enough cushioning to be remain comfortable through the entire run. I'm comfortable in saying I haven't found the limits of this shoe as far as either the demands of the trails or distance. Very comfortable, great fit, the size is actually accurate, and very stylish. I really wanted a nice trail runner that performs well, and looks clean. These fit both.I tend to alternate from hiking and running on trails so this fits both scenarios. I also just tested them on the street and ran some stairs, and they worked well there too.Despite being trailer runners they had great grip on steps and sidewalks, which I was surprised by. So I'm guessing the grip is quality rubber because I read some TRs slip on the street. There's a lot of cushion in the sole, but I still tend to put inserts into my shoe for extra support for my arch. They still fit inside which for me is great.I have pretty thin feet, but the toe box is fairly wide if yours are wider, which is ... MoreVery comfortable, great fit, the size is actually accurate, and very stylish. They were already discounted, and then on sale for Labor Day. I really didn't want to spend $125+ for untested shoes.I read these are great introduction shoes for trails and running. That works for me because I've always been more of a hiker, and just started trail running in the last year or so.If you're new to the game or a hiker these are great for you. Enjoy.

I used these for running in a local park on dirt trails. I’ve been buying the same model for years. This one is probably the best yet. It’s sleeker, has a better color scheme, and improved slats on bottom for mud and rocks. I guess some people who need support are buying these for everyday/walking shoes. They’re trail runners, so don’t understand why they went for them. I’m very happy.
I went half a size bigger which has given me a comfortable pair of shoes. Ideal for light trails and hard surfaces. I mainly use these shoes for walking and light jogging approx. 5m most days. Good grip, breathability and comfort makes them suitable for summer golf. Some signs of wear on soles but as expected. Hopefully they will prove durable - so far, so good.
These were my first pair of brooks sneakers and I had high hopes but that quickly got crushed with the serious issue with the heel padding receding downward. I love the color, and they have great grip and cushioning , but i can’t wear them. This happened quickly too, I only put them on my feet a few times before the padding issue started.I exchanged them after that happened. Second pair came and the second time I put them on, I felt the padding give way !! Both time on the right sneaker. This has to be an issue with these. I can’t be the only one with this issue. What a shame.
I gotta say, I was very skeptical. My weight, fitness level, and flat feet make long-term walking shoes a real challenge for me. When joining my friends around the city for long walks, or even jogging in the park, my shins and ankles are usually sore messes for the week after 8 hours on them. But with these shoes, I'm finally able to keep up! I still get some aches in the day, but the first time I walked with them I was surprised to not feel ANY pain the next day! For the first time years! Color options were limited, and the grips on the bottoms catch a little easy on sidewalks and walkways but overall the improvement I've felt for my posture and stamina can't be beat!
I just found this shoe to be a middle of the road shoe overall. Built to a price point, though still decent quality. However, the idea of a running shoe needing to be specialized as a “door to trail” shoe, for transitioning from pavement to light trails, was is absurd. I’ve been running door to trail in the Ghost for years. And the Divide really is not a capable shoe on technical terrain, nor is it intended to be. If you tend to run on poorly groomed trails, or bike paths, tbst get muddy in tbe spring, it might be a shoe for you. Otherwise, either get a dedicated trail shoe for truly amazing trail running experiences, or stick with the standard shoes like Ghosts or Adrenelines.
Have always used Ghost, Revel and now tried Divide 3. Very comfortable trying on in store. Walking on asphalt and hit a small drop off and rolled heal. No sprain, thank goodness, but scary.Brooks was gracious enough to let my exchange another model with a slight defect for these, so cannot return. Will never use anything else but Brooks. Just not this particular model. Will reorder Ghost.
Really wanted to like these but there's not a lot of cushioning to them and my feet get fatigued standing around in them. I've had them about 2 months and not sure how long they'll hold up, have not been abusing them but the padding seems very compressed. The padding in the bottom has worn down considerably since I got them and the padding along the heal is falling down and in no longer covering the top of the heal cup. Ordered a pair of the catamounts and will take the divide out of my rotation when they arrive. I love brooks but am very disappointed with the divide 3 and could not recommend it to anyone.
