Best shoe for anything

I exercise and travel a lot.The ghost 14 was perfect for my holiday with 50,000 steps daily. My feet were never sore with these shoes. I am a hybrid trainer and these shoes
were perfect for doing heavy weights sessions followed with a 5k run. They look and feel great and didn't need breaking in at all. I will definitely buy every ghost that comes
out. These shoes are definitely the best running shoes I have owned. The sole is firm but still has great flexibility and with previous shoes I would find me knees sore but with
these shoes I have no sore knees at all.

Having recently swapped allegiances from Mizuno to Brooks I’ve been quite happy with the Glycerin Stealthfit, Ghost Max and now these Ghost 14. I’ve kind of gone the other
way by buying the newer model shoes first and then back to the Ghost 14 - but that’s because they were on a killer sale! I went for the Ghost 14 in a knit build due to shoes
sometimes rubbing on outer of 3rd toe, and there is a lot of give here in these to not have this happen. I would run at least 200k a month. They are a well built shoe and due
to me needing a 3/4 orthotic it fits quite well so I can still use the spongy inner sole that comes with the shoe. I’m sure there are similar runners out there like me... Show more

So a good roomy toe box (in the narrow sizing) and have found the Glycerin Stealthfit to be even more roomy in the toe box which is great. I’m sure the Ghost 14 will last a long time. Has great tread on outer sole that won’t wear out quickly, where newer shoes these days are compromising on this to create lighter shoes. So I’m glad I picked up the Ghost 14. And great colourways too.... Show more

Ghost, the perfect training block shoe
30 January 2024
I bought these to be my easy, recovery and long run shoe for a new training block. I’ve done about 200kms in the last 4 weeks and have to say, Brooks Ghost deserve the respect they have in the running community. And then some. No break-in required. Stable, firm, light and breathable. Able to take any surface and you just forget they are there. The fit is perfect from heel cup to upper, laces to sole. The shoe just feels right. This is an exceptionally high quality shoe that is perfect for what it is designed for. Next training block I will do the exact same thing. What a perfect accompaniment to a tempo and race shoes. So good.... Show more

Happy Running with Ghosts
17 August 2024
After some research I started wearing Ghost about 4 years ago after getting blisters from the Glyrcerin model. The Ghost was said to have a wider toe box and generally roomier fit so I thought I'd try it. I am no marathon runner, I run 5km twice a week, I am closer to 50yrs old than I am 40yrs old and weigh in around 100kg. I've not considered another shoe since. I buy approximately 2 pairs a year as I like the new soft feel. Ghost fit me perfectly. Along with my own bit of research I used the shoe finder on the Brooks website and it seemingly has guided me to the right shoe.... Show more

Incredible shoes
21 March 2024
I recently got back into walking and jogging. I was reccomended Brooks. I had a fitting at Athletes foot and the Adrenaline GTS were reccomended to me. I ordered the Adrenaline GTS online. Whilst the shoes were good quality and good looking, they had too much support and were causing pain. I then purchased these Ghost which have a Neutral support, and they are perfect. Not much breaking in, comfy, supportive and great looking. Will certainly be getting more Brooks in the future.... Show more

Major product fault
29 March 2023
The Brooks Ghost 14 running shoes are the worst running shoes I have ever owned. I have now owned 2 pairs of 14s. The first pairs’ tread wore out within 6 months, and large holes developed in the heel cushioning, despite only having minimal use. The second pairs’ heel cushioning totally disintegrated with 3/4 months of use. This was only minimal use and they still had good amount of tread left. I have worn Ghost running shoes for over 10 years and whatever Brooks changed in this version has resulted in a shoe that does not last. From reading others reviews this seems to be a widespread problem. Brooks Australia did not offer a refund/replacement, only a $50 credit. Extremely disappointed that this business has chosen not to “do the right thing”. I will not buy ... MoreThe Brooks Ghost 14 running shoes are the worst running shoes I have ever owned. Men's Ghost 14
14 April 2023
I purchased the Ghost 14 as a daily trainer for its stable neutral feel, its fit, its sufficient arch support, its style and design, and finally, for its light dense material. However, as an owner of 5 pairs of Ghost 14 training/running shoes, the lining material used on the heel and the top edge is not very durable. All 5 pair have premature wear and tear along the back of the heel and top edge. I rotate each pair daily during my workouts to extend the life of each pair. I have logged less than 150 miles on my oldest pair which I have owned less than 19 months. Also, the insole is made of cheap material and lacks adequate shock absortion/impact protection material; and the material used traps odor, requiring me to wash the soles twice per week. I use the soles from my other brand name running shoes to solve the problem which eliminates sweat odor and provides more impact protection and cushion; and thus, provides for a better improved running shoe for training. Finally, overall I love the engineering of my Ghost 14 which provides me the bennifits I seek, again, the material used to line the inside of the Ghost 14 is cheap and lacks value, including the insoles. Otherwise, the Ghost 14 could be the perfect running shoe if those areas are improved going foward! Thank you.... Show more

Not soft - speed limiting
21 March 2024
My first Brooks going from ASICS. Was not ready for how tough they would be. Very little cushioning - to the point where I tried changing out the insoles to no avail. Somehow they make me feel like I've never ran in my life. All sorts of different muscles hurting - the top of my foot specifically - so much so that I can't run faster than 6:30-7:00min/km (when I usually do 5min/km). Have reserved them for slow long runs, but overall really disappointed with how drastically different they have been compared to my no-research ASICS nimbus 24's. After a pathetic parkrun in them, I went out and bought nimbus 26's and vowed to never run for speed in my brooks again.... Show more

Super comfortable runners. Would recommend.
26 April 2024
Purchased the Ghost 14s as they were on special. Went in store (Athletes Foot) to try them (Ghost 15s). Salesperson advised the 14s are essentially the same shoe, but older model.Sizing is perfect. A bit snug on the width and on the toes initially, but after a few runs, shoe has 'molded' my feet. Cushioning is perfect. Feels like I'm running on clouds. Legs, feet and knees don't feel sore after a run. Massive difference compared to my cheap runners. I'm able to run regularly without dreading the pain afterwards. 100% worth the investment....
