Brooks Ghost 15 Mens, 14 / PEACOAT/SILVER/WHITE 483

Say it isn't so! One of my all-time favorite shoes is the Ghost 14, it fit my foot perfectly. What about getting a narrow? Sure, however the colorway is severely limited and as is availability. So, my feedback is that if you have a narrow foot, ask, beg, Brooks to offer more color choices in narrow widths or hope that the last returns to a more narrow shape. If the shoe fits, buy it, its a fantastic shoe, but it still has to fit to be worth it.

Comfortable fit for all-day wear

I have been wearing a pair of Ghost 2 for years. It was still going strong, but I figured that pair must be well past its recommended life by now and a new pair of shoes was in order. After a lot of conversation with Brooks representatives via the chat feature on the website, I bought 3 pairs of shoes to compare: Trace 2, Trace 3, and Ghost 15. Both pairs of Trace shoes were beautiful but didn't provide the fit and comfort I was hoping for (reviewed separately and will be returned). The Ghost 15 were comfortable, and I have kept them. They fit almost as well as the Ghost 2. The difference may well be simply that I am so accustomed to the older shoes that nothing would feel entirely right in comparison, but the Ghost 15 is very close and I think in time it will be a ... MoreI have been wearing a pair of Ghost 2 for years. I got the black, which is necessary for some of my activities, so I can't say they are beautiful in the sense that colored shoes are, but they are handsome, and I have received compliments on them.The shoes fit well, even with an orthotic inserted, and are comfortable all day. Importantly, they provide adequate room for my toes, which many shoes do not. I do exercise in them, indoors. Running isn't part of my life (I'm elderly, and running is a thing of the past), but walking certainly is, and these cause no pain. Sometimes when my feet swell, the shoe laces become too tight and bruise the tops of my feet, but that is inevitable in laced shoes that don't stretch. Overall I'm pleased with the Ghost 15.

Love the build and performance of the shoe, dislike the color options.

I like this shoe a lot, been running on a number of different manufacturers and models and these seem to really support my feet and give a snappy response.What I don't like is the color options available. For the ghost 14s, 15s and now 16s I feel like the color options and combinations that yall make available are quite honestly really weak. I love the build and performance of the shoes don't get me wrong, there's a reason I continue to buy Brooks. But I've literally bought my last 3 pairs wishing there was different color options. The Ghost 15s that are currently my 'favorite' pair are only my favorite because of the feel. If you look at a wall full of HOKA shoes at a store, you find a brilliant display of bold shoe colors and seemingly endless options. If you look at a wall full of HOKA shoes at a store, you find a brilliant display of bold shoe colors and seemingly endless options. In my opinion, there are far too many Brooks variations that revolve around black/are monochrome/or incorporate weird color pairings that don't match well together. Make these shoes more cool/vibrant/stylish and I think people wouldn't even look in the direction of other shoe makers, because in my opinion you make the best shoes, they just don't look the best.

Review of Brooks Ghost 15 - Mens Running Shoes

Brooks have changed the shoe. Big problem when ordering online.I have been ordering my Brooks Beast and now Brooks Ghost for years and they have been always reliably the same sit.However, Brooks have made some changes and I had to return the runner, the same size and width I have had for TEN years.The new one is 1cm longer! It felt and looked like the runners were like surfboards on my feet. Also the width now feels MUCH wider even much wider than my OLD worn runners which are worn every day all day for 1 year. So, whilst I love the generous fit and all, it means I now have to try and find a runner that actually fits my feet. Very disappointed with the change in Brooks, and any other manufacturer, that makes important changes that make it difficult to purchase ... MoreBrooks have changed the shoe. Still a Ghost lover!

BACKGROUND: 63 year old female, with narrow feet, who started running 12 years ago. I tried a couple other brands of shoes, but nothing compares to Brooks Ghost. My first pair was Ghost 4 and I have continued with them ever since! I went from wearing Brooks shoes (Ghost and Glycerin) only for running, to now wearing them every day for casual wear. I've had plantar fasciitis and foot injuries as I've aged, so now I take brisk walks instead of running, and no other shoes make my feet feel this good. For the perfect fit, I've always ordered Brooks shoes a full size larger than my dress shoes. Ghost is one of only a handful of brands/models made in a narrow width, which I need. The narrow width keeps my foot snug from sliding, but there is still ample toebox room, so no pinching or rubbing there, even when my feet get hot or swollen. I love the blue (peacoat) color on my Ghost 15, as I wear jeans most of the time and they go great with them. So often, any narrow shoes only come in plain black, so I love when there are good color options. Wish there were more color choices in narrow!CONS: A couple of the changes I've seen with Brooks shoes over the years have been disappointing:(1) is in the vertical interior back part of the heel. Old models of Brooks shoes had sturdier (but still soft and comfortable) fabric, a bit over an inch wide, inserted in the vertical back of the inside heel. That was discontinued and since then, shoes just have the very fine lining fabric throughout the inside. This fine fabric wears out quickly in the heel area from the heel rubbing against it, and I've developed holes through it and the padding underneath in other Ghost models, sometimes within the first 100 miles. It hasn't happened yet with this pair, but I don't have many miles on them yet. Please bring back the sturdier fabric insert in the heel lining!2) the shoelaces. I loved the shoelaces on old models that were round and a bit stretchy. I never had to re-tie them, nor replace them. Though these flat laces on the Ghost 15 are a big improvement over earlier ribbon laces that were slick and untied constantly, they aren't are good as the old rounder laces.OVERALL: I highly recommend Brooks shoes. For me, Ghost and Glycerin models in narrow width, provide the perfect fit and comfort all day! Thank you, Brooks, for making narrow shoes that my feet love!

They are not just for Running!

I'm not a runner I'm a walker and these shoes are wonderful! They were comfortable right out of the box. They have good cushioning and are a delight to walk in. I did have to do a little 'running' to get out of the way of someone while wearing these shoes and I thought 'Hey these are nice running shoes too!' Running/walking either way you are good to go. I've worn Brooks shoes for years and have been very happy with them. I have a pair of the waterproof ones for my rainy day walks. I even use them walking in the snow/ice - I attach my 'spike strips' to them and they work great! I've noticed in the last two years reviews have suggested that you order 1/2 size up - I heeded this advice and was glad I did otherwise I think they would have been a bit too small. I've noticed in the last few years the shoelaces weren't long enough and didn't want to stay tied. I can report the shoelaces on this shoe are long enough, however they still come untied. I hope Brooks in the future will have some blueish teal colored shoes, I always look for that color first. My second choice is a blue color of some sort. I got the 'Pea Coat' navy blue color this time which looks great with jeans.Here's the bottom line - you will be happy with the Ghost 15. Give it a try.

This shoe is okay but pricey.

I got these primarily for running on gravel. I figured the padding on the bottom would protect feet. I have coworkers who use them day to day that influenced my purchase somewhat.First run - L shoe appears slightly too narrow compared to the right one; my L fifth digit was pretty cramped. Other than that, feet were a little sore but that’s expected with new shoes.Second run - L show still a little cramped but otherwise no issue.Third run - I experienced a pretty significant R ankle sprain.Fourth run - easing into it on treadmill vs running on normal gravel with only mild discomfort I. I’m unsure how much the shoe played into it but currently when wearing the Brooks vs wearing some of my other shoes I can feel more stress on my ATFL. This may be entirely psychological.To sum it up: there are some sizing issues for me; possible increased ankle instability secondary to combination of heel height with low rim around ankle but I can’t say that for certain; the shoes fee okay but not great to run in (possibly need more time); they look nice.

Very Happy with My Ghost 15s

I run maybe 2 times per week, around 2-4 each time, mostly on Central Park trails. Plus, I do a great deal of NYC walking-around 5 miles per day. This is my second pair of Ghost sneakers. I tried other Brooks sneakers but believe the Ghost are best for me. The Ghost 15 provide terrific cushion but you don't (and I like this) feel like you are walking on pillows. The cushioning is unassuming. Sneakers are light and responsive. I plan on sticking with Ghosts moving forward. I don't remember the last time I had foot discomfort. I think I finally found a sneaker brand! My wife--who had two bunion surgeries-also wears Brooks. She likes more stability and cushion so sticks with Adrenaline. She too loves her sneakers. A man seated next to me complimented my grey Ghosts. I thanked him and then noticed the he was wearing the same pair! We both agreed that the Ghosts were very comfortable. While in Portugal we were walking 12-15 miles per day and the Ghosts were there for me each step of the way!

Way too narrow

Size 10 was way way too narrow. Like for tiny feet...lolI usually run in Brooks Glycerin for distance runs, but my wife loves her Ghost 15's, mulitple pairs. So I wanted to give them a try.I noticed an unfortunate trend in Brooks running shoes now. Very limited color options if you want wide (2E), which for me are just slightly wider and 100% more comfortable.For example, Men's Ghost 15 lists 25 cool color options, but when I select size 10 wide 2E, it instantly limits me to just 4 options, and Im stuck with my usual black if I dont like the minimum other 3...lol.We have tons of Brooks shoes, my wife has all kinds of cool ghost 15 colors, but Im always stuck with 4 options only if I select Glycerin of Ghost because of size 10 wide (2E) limits to just 4 and ... MoreSize 10 was way way too narrow.
