(734 reviews)

The Brooks Launch GTS 9 takes the silhouette of the Launch model and adds GuideRails for lightweight stability. Runners looking for a peppy yet stable everyday running shoe that has a seamless and stripped-down design can grab the Launch GTS 9 for any type of run during the week. What You'll Love Additional 2mm of foam in the midsole Quick transitions from heel to toe A perfect amount of stability in a lightweight, peppy package As the stability counterpart to the Launch series, the Launch GTS utilizes bumper-like support to gently guide the runner's foot straight and limit excess side-to-side motion. With an extra 2mm of foam in the midsole over the previous version, the Brooks Launch GTS 9 feels even more protective while still maintaining the lightweight construction that the Launch line has become known for. The sustainable Green Rubber outsole helps runners transition faster and more efficiently while the new Creel Wrap Mesh upper offers a comfortable hold of the foot, making the Launch 9 GTS a versatile option for both regular runs and uptempo efforts when more protection is needed.

A snug little hug for my feet.

I have searched for the right shoe for several years. These are by far my favorite. They fit well. My arch is supposed and they are light. I use them for everyday wear, also for walking, Body Pump and other gym classes such as spin and step. They are snug, but in a comfortable hug sort of way, and they have a little bounce to them. I recommend them to other ladies at the gym. I liked them so much that I bought 5 pair when they went on sale. 😊

I bought this shoe primarily because of its availability in a wide D-width size. It's so hard to find any wide shoes, let along in my size at a sale price that I am willing to try most anything if available in the shoe category I require. The Brooks Launch is value-priced compared to the Brooks Cascadia and Brooks Adrenaline. As such, the Launch is also a less substantial and less supportive shoe. It would be a good road running shoe for a short distance runner with good biomechanics. For a longer-distance runner or person with biomechanical issues or heavier build, it falls low in forefoot cushioning and lateral support. In womens size 7-1/2 (wide), the shoe laces are oddly short. Even when pulled snug, it's almost impossible to double-tie the laces as they are ... MoreI bought this shoe primarily because of its availability in a wide D-width size. I have Brooks Cascadias in the exact same size, and these (Launch) are a bit narrower and longer, even in the identical size and width. Conclusion: For a moderate price, it's a decent general purpose sneaker for errands and urban walks.

I run about 60km per week. I usually run with New Balance or Asics. I wanted to try Brooks. I was looking for a fast shoe with a bit of support, to replace my NB 1600v6 (discontinued). The Launch GTS is ok. It is supportive and light. It feels true to size. However, i can’t seem to get any speed in these shoes. It does nothing for me. I’ll use them for warm ups or short jogs, but not for speed work nor tempo run. I guess the Hyperion Tempo could have been a better choice for me. Overall I think it’s a good shoe, just not great for speed. And I do feel it’s not a good shoe for longer runs (my legs felt stiff after 10km which is not the case usually).

I love my new shoes!
23 April 2023

I had a pair of Brooks 'Ravenna' for 10 years. Actually, I still have them. I have to tell you, I'm not a runner. I'm a walker, and my physio recommended Brooks when arthritis and inherited flat feet were causing pain and threatening to stop me from walking. So my lovely Ravennas are showing signs of age now... 😁 But when i tried to find a new pair, I couldn't! I was so disappointed. But then I learned that 'Ravenna' has not died, but simply been upgraded, rebranded, and renamed. And I couldn't be happier with my new shoes: they are a dream to walk in. Even with arthritic, flatfeet! 😄👍🏼 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Loving Brooks
19 October 2023

Recently introduced to Brooks by the lovely Lady at Start as I am new to running. Due to bad knees I was pointed to the Glycerine and great trainer. I saw a sale on at Start and I needed a new gym trainer, so impressed with Brooks I reached out on the online chat who were very helpful and pointed me to the Launch GTS. I am certainly not disappointed!!! Brooks are great, it seems, for any activity!! I feel supported yet it feels like I am wearing slippers they are so comfy! Also big thumbs up to the team at Start!!!

Not the Ravenna!
28 July 2024

Wore Ravennas for many years and loved the comfortable yet supportive fit for my narrow feet. While the Launch is equally light weight, the fit is totally different, and lacks the supportive padding of the Ravenna. The Launch cannot be called the replacement for the Ravenna; it’s a totally different model.

Ravena Replacement - great new design!!
31 October 2023

I bought this product as I owned a pair of Ravena which I believe this model replaced. I loved the Ravena, but I did. Notice the edge of the heel was a little low and sometimes rubbed on a longer run. This new model, has a higher rear heel area, and I have to say these are perfect for me. Light, so breathable and with terrific support. I have a left ACL repair and in these shoes I don’t even think about it. Fantastic shoes!

Reliable comfort and speed
29 November 2023

Been a fan of this shoe since it was called the Ravenna. My one year old launch gts 9’s are still great for everyday runs (< 10 miles/wk). The shoe supports my natural body/foot mechanics so I don’t mind that the shoe doesn’t have tons of cushioning compared to super plush hoka for example. To clarify, cushioning is medium. I think the guiderails tech makes the shoe- It’s gold! For size I went up a half size from my true size. 6-> 6 1/2 Gait is pretty neutral but I enjoy some stability possibly because my arch is high.

Very nice
28 August 2023

I'm very pleased with these, they seemed a bit stiff when I first put them on, but soon softened up. They are very cushioned and comfortable. I'm using them as everyday walking shes rather than for running, but I will try them out at east once on a run. They are quite sloped on the front sole, should give a good push off. They arrived quickly, and it's an excellent price. Just one thing - they are described as while, I would say they are a greenish shade of white.

lightweight shoe good for minor activity
11 December 2023

This shoe boasts a pleasant appearance and comfort. It runs a bit larger—I wear a 9 1/2 but it feels more like a size 10. However, with the right socks, it fits well. While it might not be the sturdiest option, it's great for casual walks and simple to clean. It may not suit highly active individuals.Considering the price, it offers fair value, especially for those seeking a comfortable shoe for casual strolls.
