These are my first pair of Brooks. I’m not a runner but I do a lot of walking and have joint issues so comfortable footwear is important to me. I’d been looking at Brooks for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger on these. They are extremely lightweight which is nice. When you put them on there’s an instant relief of muscle fatigue in the foot and calf that is hard to explain but very refreshing! The first time I slipped them on I thought, “Why did I wait so long to try Brooks?!”. They continued to be comfortable in my first walk, however, my arches started to cramp from lack of support. I do have very high arches so for many, these may have sufficient support. I’ve added a set of Dr. Scholls inserts to them and that seems to have given it the boost in ... So all-in-all very comfortable but if you tend to need a higher level of arch support, these might not be for you unless you’re ok adding insoles. These fit true to size.

I bought my first pair of Brooks last year when I decided I was going to try running as part of my fitness routine. I liked them so much I decided to buy the newer model this year as my originals were wearing out. The Revel 5's felt narrower than my originals, but maybe they just felt that way because they were new and I had worn in my previous pair. However, after loosening up the laces and wearing them around the house and out at a sporting event for a day, I decided to take them for a run. They are very comfy and keep my sensitive feet from aching. I don't run more than a couple miles at a time, but these are definitely my go-to running shoes.

I was recently told by foot doctor that I had Tarsal tunnel with ankle & foot along with Morton neuroma and toe starting to overlap another. I Needed surgery and he also said I'm wearing shoes that are bad for feet.Like all females I had my years away from work wearing high heels with pointed toes that of course started pinching after so much dancing. I also love being barefooted & wearing flat flip-flops. Doctor said he wanted me to start wearing athletic shoes when I'm running around shopping & doing errands. I don't usually wear shoes like this unless I was to start working out again . Now he wants me to live in them. I told the store clerk at Dick's the problem I was having & she knew a lot about shoes & recommended Brooks, said they were one of the best. Well, ... After surgery I hope my feet start loving me again. My the way , this surgery is.... AWFUL! Just had it . Can't step on foot at all and living withthis heavy boot is terrible. Fell a few times....Well, buy the shoes! You'll love them!Oh! Buy the way, I learned that when it comes to athletic running shoes or any sneakers that these are the only shoes that you should buy a half size larger. Everyone has one foot that's a little larger , go by that foot. I take a size 8 and bought an 8 1/2 which is an 8.5My foot is also on the narrow side & like most shoes these are medium width. They also come in a wide width for those who need it.Hope this is helpful!

I didn’t buy these for running, I work long hours in a hospital usually on my feet all day. I tried all sorts of different brands and styles but found my running Brooks really good so I decided to buy these to replace my old working shoes. Good move! They are lightweight, not hot like others and very soft. I’ve been using them for 2 weeks and love them.
Purchased the white pair. Very comfortable. I use them for everyday wear. Purchased my typical size and they fit fine. A little extra room in width but not excessive. I have very large big toe joints due to either bunions or arthritis and there is plenty of room without feeling restricted. I like the white and black color. Think it's stylish without being ostentatious.
I purchased this shoe last month. Tried on many different types of shoes including the best Brooks shoes for people with plantar fasciitis. Found these to be very comfortable to walk in all day. The Revel is cushioned well for my PF and breathable so my feet don’t sweat while I run my errands throughout the day. Has just enough toe room to prevent toe bruising. Will definitely purchase another pair in a different color. Very pleased with my selection.
I bought these shoes to train for my marathon because DSW was not carrying the Ghost style at the time. I should have done more research. These shoes are comfortable for a daily wear or short distance running. I have run 3-10 miles straight with these shoes and anything over 4 miles, my feet have never hurt so bad. They feel like they had already been worn out and had zero life left for running. I will keep them for a regular shoe but need to now buy new running shoes for running. Would not recommend for long distance running!
Bought this the first year they had the Christmas shoe for fun. Then discovered I loved it! This is my go to. Perfect about of room in the toe box for my pie slice shaped feet. Light weight but plenty of cushion for five to 13 miles. Waiting on the next version, please don’t discontinue. The 8mm offset works great for my lower back.
Oh my gosh!Has anyone ever had a hard time finding the right shoe because your flat footed. And usually your instep starts to hurt because the side of the shoe starts cutting into your foot?Well, that's me. I've always had a hard time finding good shoes for my naturally flat (and wide) feet. Imagine a duck foot and that's what my foot looks like. The revel 5 is amazing, the toe box is wide and soft so your toes don't feel like there getting squeezed to death and the sides of the shoes are wide enough to accommodate my flat instep. When I used them the 1st time to go running, after my run my feet didn't hurt and they usually do because of my shoe. So to all my flat footed brothers and sisters, this may be the shoe for you. Try it.
I started running about 2 years ago and Brooks are my go to shoes after trying many other name brand shoes. Brooks provide stability and comfort, especially important for women over 50. In addition, they provide maximum cushion and can be used in the gym or running on the road. I asked for Revel 5's for Christmas and I was able to use them right out of the box for running. If you are new to running keep in mind that you should always size up at least a half size for Brooks running shoes. I learned this after having my foot digitally measured and found out I have the wrong size shoes. Revel 5's are fantastic and make running easy on my feet and legs. Enjoy!
