Brother 12mm Black On Clear TZe Tape

I've used the Brother TZ products both at work, and now at home. In a hospital setting, my department used these labels extensively after discovering them to be extermely durable on containers needing frequent cleaning and contact with chemicals and high temperatures. And now, at home, these labels are great in reorganizing my office files, and other areas. In addition, they're perfect for my pet project of saving a few dollars by buying favorite products in bulk and then packaging them in smaller containers that I've liked and saved...see photo as example. I like the look of the easy-to-read label, and it's easily cleaned, durable, and removable if I want to, again, repurpose the container.

Only have purchased 2 times. First time was wonderful and easy to work. Downloaded the book to my desktop. Great. The next time I got the Black/clear label and it jamed 1/2 way through. Couldn't untangle or rewind or take apart or pull out unused tape so had to throught out. Don't know if it was the tape or the operator but went back to get another package as this lable maker is toooo easy not to purchase and use.One really has to go by the book on this one.Not only that but there is so much one can use the lables for. I always (being from the old school)wrote in cursive on the file topers but since finding out the younger generation do not know how to write cursive and can't read it I am forced to print. BAAAA!!!! When I purchased this product I assumed that, like the cartridge I was replacing, the tape it contains would have a peel-off backing over an adhesive backing. In other words, print the label, peel off the backing, stick it on the item. The tape in this cartridge does not have a peel-off backing and it does not have an adhesive. So....you have to print the label, then get a piece of scotch tape to lay over the label to hold it in place. I must say it is very inexpensive compared to alternatives. So, you get what you pay for. I was just a little surprised at what I got.
