Everything is going perfectly with the machine so far, we are very happy with it. The only issue keeping this from being a 5 star review is that when we received the machine one of the supplied needles (the one mounted in the machine) was broken. There are still other needles supplied with the machine, but now we have one less. Otherwise it is perfect

Bought this last week, amazing little machine. So easy to use the DVD was excellent to show how to set up the machine.
It is a good machine for value of money but I am finding it a bit harder to use after using my Janome for so many years. It was very handy having the cd to watch as it made it much easier for me to see what to do. I hate reading manuals and prefer to be shown what to do. It is a lovely little machine and I am sure will suit my needs.
I am so happy about buying the Brother JA1400 sewing machine. Its a great allrounder and can tackle most sewing challenges. I am still learning to use the other features but I have done a bit of sewing already.
Handy and easy to use. The best thing is it came with a DVD teaching us how to start up using the machine. It is good value as well. Well done.
I bought the Brother JA1400 sewing machine two months ago . I'm very disappointed with it. site very sensitive, I've try numerous times with the tention setting and it just isn't right , it puckers, the stitch is different to the top and the back , the cotton snap with catching on the top bobbin. Very disappointed
I had not touched a sewing machine for 25years. This machine was easy to thread, instructional DVD was fabulous. I was back sewing the same day. I love this machine
I bought this 4 days ago so I could learn the basics since I wan to start making my own clothes and thought it would be a good machine to start with, I've used a sewing machine on many occasions and I've read the manual and seen the DVD. I have some problems with it though. The thread keeps slipping out of the needle, I have no idea why this keeps happening but I can assure you it's not me. The shoe suddenly popped off whilst I was using it, I fixed it since it's not a big issue. Don't recommend.
