This is not value for money. Previously I have purchased the same toner 1200 pages and between other members in family (used daily has lasted for over 6 months. I purchased the last toner in the local store and I have not even got 3 weeks out of it. Extremely disappointed. I now have to order another one and financial the whole reason for buying this printer and the toner was it was economical for the family. However 3 weeks is shocking. This needs to be investigated, I have also seen other reviews with the 3000 pages. Frankly something very very strange is going on allegedly could be due to been tax on the amount of toner is factory. Something is seriously wrong. I and other consumer's is been ripped off.

I have always purchased Brother printers but I'm so disappointed in this printer, specifically with the toner cartridges. I'm having the same toner issues as many other people that have put reviews on this page. It is costing me a fortune replacing toner cartridges after only a short period of time, there is no way I am getting close to 1200 pages. Has anything been done about this issue Officeworks or Brother as the number of copies is misleading.

One toner cartridge only gives you the yield of one ream of paper. Unfortunately, I have had to do a large print out of bank statements and have had to buy three cartridges to print out only 3 reams of paper. Very disappointed. I waited 20minutes at Officeworks Warners Bay to speak to someone about this issue (as I purchased the printer, and all toner cartridges this past month) but I could not wait any longer. So I left unassisted

I have not even finished using a ream of paper (500 pages) and this toner already ran out on me. Even if I'd printed on both sides of the paper (which I dont usually), it would still not amount to 1200 pages. I wish I had read the reviews before. I purchased the bigger yield before but didnt have a lot of budget thats why I bought this one. So disappointed.
I also got the low toner message shortly after buying the machine with the stated introductory cartridge of 700 copies. My copy number was 410 total copies. You can find your number?? as follows: hit the spanner icon on the LCD display>Machino info then hit the down arrow(there is no symbol for it on a QWERTY keyboard) to Page Counter..it will show the total copies etc.The clue to eradicating the message is to reset the counter. Hit the spanner on the LCD > Toner > All settings then down arrow to Printer down arrow to Reset Printer. It asks Yes or No? answer Yes. It worked for me but not sure for how long
The TN-2430 replacement cartridge arrived in a very sturdy box and inside was all the instructions that anyone could ever want to make the installation simple and a pleasure to install. It worked the first time after installation (compared to my aftermarket cartridge replacement previously) and all the prints are super fine in detail. Great job Brother!
Ok so the toner does run low quickly but here is what Brothers support told meFirstly you need to find out exactly how many pages it printed - do the below to find outTo enter Maintenance Mode, make sure the machine LCD says “Ready” please press the following buttons in quick succession (in around 2 seconds):OK buttonGO buttonUP ARROW KEY ( ^ ) FOUR TIMESThis should put the machine in MAINTENANCE mode.Once you see MAINTENANCE. Please press the UP ARROW KEY until you see Maintenance 7 7 then press OK. And for us hardworking folks ~ that's no good.But here is the catch - herein lies the rub - what alternatives do we have?The generics listed on this website get even poorer reviews, delivering only 300 out of the promised 1200 pages of print.We, the working class, have become disenfranchised and disempowered under this system of unregulated capitalism.We have to pay and agree to be scammed up front. This under-delivering toner cartridge, our only choice.
This cartridge would have been lucky to cover 300 sheets of paper during the last 6 months of use. We purchased the Brother printer to move away from inkjets and nearly always only need black and white printed documents. This hasn't been a good choice and one others really need to consider before buying a Brother printer using such cartridges. the printer itself works really well & never had an issue with it, just this toner cartridge makes the overall product, not worth the money.
Haven’t used it much so far but the print output is crisp and sharp. This is the second toner I replaced. Had no issues with the previous one and this one is going strong so far. Don’t know the yield progress.
