I am sure that Staples won’t post this review because it has nothing to do with the product, but rather their extreme price.I purchased this single roll because I needed it right away. I since have seen it in several other places at one third the price.I HATE price gouging!

I was with my daughter - we were so excited to purchase her a label maker. We picked up the one I was familiar with - then decided to get the one that you could use with your phone. She read about it on her pone we purchased the 3/4 inch tape - 2 of them - and left. When we got it home and tried to make it work the tape would not click in. In fine print on the box - it only used up to 1/2 inch tape. But online - the pictures were using big labels and address labels and the like. It was a total deception and we accomplished nothing but heading out during a pandemic and wasting our time.

The tape works fine! The Blue on White is very visible and with the width, it is easy to do double line typing. I really love using the wider tape.My one irritation is NOT with the tape but with the newer printers. You tend to waste a lot more blank tape because it sends out quite a bit of excess before the "cut off" point. I have more manual control of it in the old one I use. To be fair, I might be able to adjust this but I haven't noticed that option on my newer red and white label maker. Since it has lots of additional options, it may be a choice that I have not seen.Overall, I LOVE using these Brother Label Makers and the tapes. I have used brother tapes for several years. Iv'e never had any problems with the product. Product preforms just fine. The only complaint i have is they usually are not on sale , manufacture brand is pricey.Especially if your on a family budget. they should cost $15 dollars or less , you would probably sell more tapes. They wear well. the tapes come in different colors , widths , and different colors in print , water and oil resistant , and extra hold. I use them for labeling computer cables , power adapters, Usb cords , labels on spice jars (glass) in kitchen , same for bottles and storage containers.
If they would have asked me to review this product with my first purchase I would have given it 5 stars. I loved it, works great for labelling anything and everything. Water bottles into the dishwasher? No problem! It's been 1 1/2 years since I put the labels on the water bottles and they're still going strong! Washed at least several times a week. I have several labels on walls in the barn and they're still there like I just stuck them there yesterday. However...I ran out and bought another one and this one does not seem to work, the ink comes right off and although I ordered the exact same product it seems to be putting black on black and the ink comes off. Hopefully I can figure out the problem and get it resolved.
I buy them to add a due date to equipment's at work. Most of the equipment are gray and black so adding this yellow sticker it does stands up right away when looking when is the calibration due date. Its the perfect size tape for my portable printer as well.
I bought this tape because it's what is required for the project that I work on. The quality of the label tape is great and works perfectly for my needs. However the Brother printer always cuts off more than half an inch before it starts to print which at the end of the day at up to be a lot of wasted and paid for label tape which could have been used. The inside reel that holds the new tape is colored white so when you look through your printer to see how much label is left you will never really know because the inside spindle is colored white just like the tape itself. That can cause you to be in a bad situation thinking that you have label tape left over when you really don't.
I especially appreciate the choices available, not only the variety of sizes, but the "black print on white" or white print on black tape or clear with black imprint.The adhesive back allowed me to stick it and remove then stick it again. Great quality of the material and the adhesive. The split back protector of the adhesive makes labeling fast and effective.

The backing of the tape is split, making it very easy to remove the backing even on very short lables With Brother M tapes and Dymo tapes I have to pick at the backing with my fingernails to try with great frustration to get the backing off. With P-Touch, I fold the tape in half and the backing pops right off. There are so many varieties to choose from that there is a tape for all of my needs including boxes, cables, and a variety of items. The tape is plastic and I don't think there is a paper option, which would be useful for labeling books. Tapes go up to an inch wide, but not all labelers can tape a tape that wide. Brother label makes (P-Touch) have set the standards for years in labeling! I used it for years in my work life and now use it all the time in my personal life. The labels stay in place--even after years and are always readable and look great! I love to organize with the clear labels on my clear storage containers!
