I order 2 Roteras and received in late November and it immediately the lid would not function properly. I emailed customer support on 12/2 about my issue and they said they realized there was a design flaw but have fixed it and new lids are being created with improvements. (Great customer service that they didn't proactively reach out to me) Those new lids came the end of December. Early January and lids aren't working again. This bottle is an excellent addition to my Brümate collection, so much so, that I ordered 6 of them on initial launch and gifted to my friend’s six year old son.He loves my Brüs, and hinted he would like his own, so when the Rotera came out with a spill-proof option, I knew he had to have it. I was so excited when I preordered the 35oz sage Rotera and was soon disappointed after receiving it. The construction, materials, and concept are all amazing! The issue however is the rotating mechanism and band piece on the lid. I gently twisted it open and closed throughout the few days it functioned and then it just derailed randomly and there was no way to correct it. None of the many ways i tried anyway. I contacted Brumate and they sent me a new lid- which was a random steel grey color, so i reached out again and they sent me a new, complete sage green bottle/lid. That was much appreciated! However, the same issue happened within days of receiving the new one. Almost great! I realllllly wanted to love this bottle. When it launched I was certain it would replace all my other bottles. I am an avid BruMate user and have several products but this one missed the mark. The bottle itself is beautiful, the silicone sleeve is genius and yes it keeps your water and ice cold for a long time. But the lid needs work. Mine stopped working within a couple weeks of use. Customer service was great and sent me a replacement lid. To be honest I haven’t really gone back to it now that the Eras are released. They’re made much better, fit 40oz in the cup holder and so far have held up well with the twist lid locking feature. Definitely go that route!

However...the twisting mechanism was a great idea, but the execution needs some work. Within the first week there were consistently moments where it was near impossible to get the mouth piece to open and close. I thought that maybe something had broken, but upon inspection discovered that the rubber band part that twists the mouth piece has the tiniest notch cut into it which is in charge of a fairly resistant turning mechanism. I bought this water bottle around Christmas time, it was on the pricy side but I still got it because I was so in love with it. within the first few weeks of using my bottle I found hat it randomly stopped working. the twisty handle thing that lifts the mouthpiece seized up and stopped turning. which made me have to open in manually and sometimes it wouldn't open at all. I didn't do anything to make this break happen so it's honestly just disappointing. now I have to wait weeks for it to be fixed. I found that even some of the bottles on the shelf are broken before even being sold to people. and I can't get a refund because it's been over the amount if days. just disappointing especially considering how much I loved my bottle and now its kinda ruined over one issue.
