I never used this stuff before although I was of course aware of it but then, a couple of years ago, I began to notice that my hair seemed to be drying out. Possibly a middle aged thing, but it had developed an unpleasant, strangely brittle feel, probably not helped by the fact that, working in the building trade, I have to wash it nearly every day.A mate suggested Brylcreem so I tried it, and it really seemed to help. Great product used for performances when slicking back hair the best product for this on the market. Thick texture locks the hairstyle in place for a long period of time. The fragrance brings back lots of memories. Does leave your hair feeling quite heavy and greasy so showering after using is recommended but for the price its one helm of a styling product

Does the job but is a tad greasy,. it leaves an oily residue on your hands, so you have to wash them immediately after not ideal but I suppose thats a small negative of wanting hair that looks better after a shower. Sadly, I just discovered what can only be jokingly described as a vast chasm of air inside the mass of gloop. So,. I doubt I had a full jar,.. NOT happy. Rated from 4 to 3. Will revise rating upon a second purchase. Woe betide the next pot if that too lets me down.

For Brylcreem, it's a product where it's hard not to wash one's hair daily. If you leave it in for more than a day, it doesn't look or feel good in the hair. If I know for a fact that I'm going to wash my hair the next day, then I'm willing to use Brylcreem, but I don't like to shampoo every day. That's the reason I don't use Brylcreem that often. But if your hair is blond like mine or gray, then you won't see much shine at all if any. For some reason, Brylcreem doesn't create shine on lighter colored hair types compared to the darker ones.

I really like this product for controlling my hair just a little goes a long way. It holds my hair how I like it even if I work hard and sweat I can comb it back to how I originally had it. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who likes a well groomed look.

Some good, some questions

The Brylcreem is a different color than usually found. This tube has a yellow tint to it rather than the usual bright white. I have asked where it was purchased to see if it was a foreign brand/kind. The size of the tube is great, the scent is strong and likable. The concern is centered around why the color is not standard.
