I never used this stuff before although I was of course aware of it but then, a couple of years ago, I began to notice that my hair seemed to be drying out. Possibly a middle aged thing, but it had developed an unpleasant, strangely brittle feel, probably not helped by the fact that, working in the building trade, I have to wash it nearly every day.A mate suggested Brylcreem so I tried it, and it really seemed to help. Not a miracle cure, but certainly an improvement. As one or two others have suggested, its best used sparingly. I put a small dab on one palm, about the size of half a grape, and rub my hands together, then I massage it through my hair for a minute or so before then brushing it through.Ill never have the same thick, glossy, luxuriant mane I had as a ... MoreI never used this stuff before although I was of course aware of it but then, a couple of years ago, I began to notice that my hair seemed to be drying out. I first received this in a sample box and gave it to my boyfriend who has long thick curly hair. He's always looking for a product that would tame his hair when he pulled it back without making it look greasy or oily or giving it that stiff hard texture that gel does. This is that product. He absolutely loves this stuff because it takes his fly always and keeps his usually unmanageable hair in place, not to mention the smell is incredible! I love how his hands smell after he uses this stuff it's so good. He's told me that a little goes a long way so he usually ends up just rubbing the whatevers left over onto his mustache and goatee. He and I both would, and have, recommend it to others it's just really a great product for everyday wear

I recently had the opportunity to receive a free sample for my man to try, thank you to Brylcreem and PINCHme. I'm so excited to share our experience with you. My man has fine, wavy and curly hair. After using this product his hair was shiny and manageable with fewer fly-aways. A few things you MUST know about this product; it's light weight, not sticky or greasy, leaves hair soft and touchable and conditions and adds shine! I would not recommend this product specifically for someone that is looking for some hold. You can definitely use it along with a product for hold, my man uses it with gel. I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends.

A Classic

Brylcreem has been around for a very long time. My grandfather used it all his life and my late father used it occasionally too. I, myself, have been using this also for a long time and I think it is the best hairdressing product that I have ever used. You only need a little dab of this to keep your hair looking tidy and it also gives your hair a nice, healthy, shine.I find that it works better on short hair, though, so I wouldn't advise it for longer hairstyles. It also washes out fairly easily, as long as you don't use too much. You will probably need to wash your hair a lot more frequently when you are using this, though, to stop your pillowcases from getting too greasy. I would still rather use this than gel or wax, though, as it doesn't make my hair feel ... MoreBrylcreem has been around for a very long time. I was a big user of Brylcreem many years ago. I tried this but what happened to it's smell nothing had a smell that was anywhere near as nice as the Brylcreem of the past. This is decent for your hair but don't use too much them days have gone. Just a small amount will keep your hair looking good and is easy to wash out.

Does the job but is a tad greasy,. it leaves an oily residue on your hands, so you have to wash them immediately after not ideal but I suppose thats a small negative of wanting hair that looks better after a shower. Sadly, I just discovered what can only be jokingly described as a vast chasm of air inside the mass of gloop. So,. I doubt I had a full jar,.. NOT happy. Rated from 4 to 3. Will revise rating upon a second purchase. Woe betide the next pot if that too lets me down.

Brylcreem is the BEST!
2 September 2021

I have looked in dozens of stores and none of them carries Brylcreem! That is the only product that my husband likes. The new stuff on the store shelves is horrible and he hates them. I ordered three big tubes. My husband is thrilled. I also gave a tube to a man on hospice who also hated all the junk that is in the stores. He was thrilled to get his tube also. PLEASE don't quit carrying this on the internet!

Good product

this version of Brylcreem is a lot better than the American version. The shine superior, better scent, and styles better. If we're just going by Brylcreem, this is the better product. Good price as well. I've been using Dax Short and Neat pomade lately, which does the same thing as Brylreem but better hold, shine, and scent. For Brylcreem, it's a product where it's hard not to wash one's hair daily. If you leave it in for more than a day, it doesn't look or feel good in the hair. If I know for a fact that I'm going to wash my hair the next day, then I'm willing to use Brylcreem, but I don't like to shampoo every day. That's the reason I don't use Brylcreem that often. But if your hair is blond like mine or gray, then you won't see much shine at all if any. For some reason, Brylcreem doesn't create shine on lighter colored hair types compared to the darker ones.

Here’s a classic product that has enjoyed a well-deserved comeback. The product is light — not much hold, but lots of sheen, and smells great. If you’re looking for a retro barbershop product, this is it in a convenient tube. A dime-size dollop is all my short hair needs, and the pleasant, masculine fragrance lasts, but is t overpowering. Smells like traditional barbershop. Price is right, too! If you don’t want grease but still want shine, Don Draper recommends Brylcreem.
