Although it's a great tasting product, it's very high in sugar, not good for diabetics. I thought it was naked ginger, uncoated in sugar but when I opened the packet the pieces were coated in sugar. The nutritional panel reads that 100 grams has 72grams of sugar! That's equivalent to 17 teaspoons of sugar! It also contains the preservative Sulphites to which I'm highly allergic to! A better choice is the Buderim ginger bears which have less sugar and are sulphite free.

It's advertised as "naked ginger uncrystallized" but it is only 55% ginger, the rest is cane sugar according to the packaging. Maybe that overestimates the ginger content because the packaging also states every 25 grams of the product contains 18 grams of sugar. Ginger root has only1.7 grams of sugar per 100 grams of ginger. This should be disclosed prior to sale. This product is positively dangerous to diabetics, yet real ginger is positively beneficial to diabetics.

This product is the best available preserved ginger available in the world. Grown and processed in Queensland. It is full of good health factors, Better than other forms with sugar coating. especially effective for digestion & enjoyable s a snack & to prevent travel sickness.
Lovely ginger excellent taste natural and , great for upset stomach including nausea , tasty bite size pieces , and healthy as well.
The product is available in several other places but this is a good value version and the product was every bit as good as I hoped.
