Ceritfied to originate in Australia, BUFF Merino wool products are 100% Mulesing-free, with no sheep harmed in the shearing process. The most natural, functional fibers on our planet grow without external influences all year round. Merino wool is the product of water, air, and grass and if you compost it, it will biologically degrade disappearing completely into the ground. The downside is that Merino wool has been associated with a poor production process. Mulesing is a method that eliminates the problem associated with the Australian Blowfly, but also a method that inflicts pain on the sheep. BUFF strongly dissociates from this method and makes sure all of our wool purchases are from suppliers that do not use this process.
